Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Lan Ling Wang (TV series), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Period (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

File permission problem with File:Dylan kuo 2012 love mu.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Dylan kuo 2012 love mu.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 10:41, 27 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on File:Dylankuo@WTpress2012.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted images or text borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Replaceable fair use File:郭品超borrowurlove2012.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:郭品超borrowurlove2012.jpg. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of fair use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of fair use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Wikipedia. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the file description page and add the text {{di-replaceable fair use disputed|<your reason>}} below the original replaceable fair use template, replacing <your reason> with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable.
  2. On the file discussion page, write a full explanation of why you believe the file is not replaceable.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Peripitus (Talk) 10:38, 11 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I'm Scope creep. Jud82877, thanks for creating Armed Reaction IV!

I've just tagged the page, using our page curation tools, as having some issues to fix. Having accessed date on ref's does not make them real refs with proper links.

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, you can leave a comment on my talk page. Or, for more editing help, talk to the volunteers at the Teahouse. scope_creep 11:47, 6 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Some bubble tea for you!

Thank you so much for greatly improving articles on Taiwanese dramas. Your effort hasn't gone unnoticed. Sip on some bubble tea (famous drink in Taiwan) as you continue contributing to Wikipedia. :) Cheers,  SmileBlueJay97  talk  07:53, 20 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]
@SmileBlueJay97 you're welcome. I am currently working on "Pleasantly Surprised" and will be for the next month since the drama is still being aired. Btw I have found it extra hard to come across the actual promotional poster of this drama in good resolution. All the good resolution posters available is under its previous English title and I noticed that the image you uploaded is a screen grab from one of it's website with a channel logo on it. If you don't mind can we use the image I had uploaded since that is the best image of the poster I've found. Thank you again for the tea. Jud82877 09:26, 20 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I've uploaded a new version with the logo edited out, but feel free to use your image if you'd like. I previously reverted your image because of the low quality. Again, thanks for your contribution to Taiwanese drama pages. Keep up the good work! Cheers,  SmileBlueJay97  talk  15:20, 20 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. I have a quick question. I noticed this edit of yours. I see an ISBN with value 4717095573604. But this is not a valid ISBN. Where did you exactly find this ISBN? Any chance that this is a barcode or something else? -- Magioladitis (talk) 22:12, 15 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on File:NewAngelInTheMakingposter.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image is an unused redundant copy (all pixels the same or scaled down) of an image in the same file format, which is on Wikipedia (not on Commons), and all inward links have been updated.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". House of Spirits

[edit]

Hello. I don't want to start an edit war so I'll list the reasons why I've made changes to your House of Spirits article.

  • Hong Kong uses British English hence I made the spelling changes.
  • I did not delete your entire synopsis. I merely edited the grammatical errors and changed some sentences around so it'll be easier to understand.
  • I edited the infobox in a way that it'll be easier to edit in the future, such as using the plain list format to list the cast and crew. I also eliminated irrelevant information (such as "editor"; the "editor" in this infobox does not mean scriptwriter. It means means film editor).
  • I changed the cast order because I feel it's more important to list the cast in order of importance. The four children are listed first because they are the central characters in this piece.

Darkreason (talk) 22:15, 6 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

@Darkreason Hi. I don't want an edit war either but some information were removed when you edited the page.
    • Since this is the Wiki English page it should be based on American English. Hong Kongers can always refer to the Chinese Wiki page. The English and grammar you had changed is irreverent to American English who are majority readers of this site.
    • As per listing of cast since it sectioned by family I listed each cast member by family rank (example: Joyce Tang is listed together by the actor and actress that play her husband and daughter) for easier read. Please also note the spelling of the characters English name is listed according to how TVB spelled it, as I noticed you had also changed the English spelling of some characters name according to your own preference.
    • Yes I know what editor means. According to credit on the drama the head writer is also the main editor of the drama.

With these reasons I hope you understand way I don't want certain information edited. As an wikipedian it does take a lot of time to create a page. Also I only start a page when I see no one has. Thank you for reaching out and please understand why I feel frustrated when certain information I listed gets edited.Jud82877 07:52, 06 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Disputed non-free use rationale for File:Kbssupermanisback.jpg

[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Kbssupermanisback.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.

If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator seven days after the file was tagged in accordance with section F7 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. xplicit 04:18, 29 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Replaceable fair use File:KBSReturnOfSuperMan2013.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:KBSReturnOfSuperMan2013.jpg.

Thank you. xplicit 04:18, 29 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Notice

The file File:AHintofYouOST.jpg has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Non-free album cover being used in a decorative manner in A Hint of You#Soundtrack. Non-free album cover art is generally allowed to be used for primary identification purposes in stand-alone articles about albums, but its use in other articles is generally only allowed when the cover art itself is the subject of sourced critical commentary as explained in WP:NFC#cite_note-3 and the context for non-free use required by WP:NFCC#8 is evident. There is no such commentary for this particular album cover anywhere in the article, and the use of soundtrack album cover art in articles about films or TV programs is generally not allowed for this reason as explained in WP:FILMSCORE.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.

Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. Non-free album cover being used in a decorative manner in Emerald on the Roof#Original soundtrack.
