File copyright problem with File:PARI logo.gif[edit]

Copyright-problem.svg

Thank you for uploading File:PARI logo.gif. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. FASTILYsock(TALK) 23:57, 16 April 2010 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of File:Universal records logo.gif[edit]

Ambox warning pn.svg

A tag has been placed on File:Universal records logo.gif requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted images or text borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Queen of Housewives[edit]

Copyright-problem.svg

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Queen of Housewives, and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://www.anothermovieguide.com/2009/10/14/korean-drama-my-wife-is-a-superwoman-or-queen-of-housewives. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details. (If you own the copyright to the previously published content and wish to donate it, see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for the procedure.)

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. CorenSearchBot (talk) 08:54, 21 April 2010 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Queen of Housewives[edit]

Ambox warning pn.svg

A tag has been placed on Queen of Housewives requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a clear copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words.

If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

File:Pyramid (50-sec).ogg[edit]

Hello. Just a reminder about song sample length and resolution recommendations.

Our sample guidelines state that song samples can not exceed thirty seconds. Samples should be around 10 percent of total song length up to the maximum of thirty seconds.

Another thing to consider is the sample's resolution. They must be an Audacity setting of 0. I'm just stopping by to reiterate the instructions. Welcome to Wikipedia. Dawnseeker2000 02:47, 29 May 2010 (UTC)

Replaceable fair use File:MTVVjsinthePhilippines.jpg[edit]

Ambox warning pn.svg

Thanks for uploading File:MTVVjsinthePhilippines.jpg. I noticed the description page specifies that the media is being used under a claim of fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first non-free content criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information or which could be adequately covered with text alone. If you believe this media is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the media description page and edit it to add {{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per our non-free content policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Peripitus (Talk) 23:28, 8 June 2010 (UTC)

Samples - 2nd notice[edit]

I just want to point you to our audio sample guidelines as it appears you've overlooked a few of the basic requirements for including music samples in articles. I can summarize the issues that need attention for you now. Samples should not be of high resolution. Please use setting 0 in Audacity. This should result in a file of right around 65 Kb/s resolution. Samples should be no more than thirty seconds. If you are still unsure about these things directions please find more details at WP:SAMPLE and Wikipedia:NFC#Audio_clips. Dawnseeker2000 23:41, 30 October 2010 (UTC)

File permission problem with File:Richard Sanderson's "Reality" LP single cover.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Richard Sanderson's "Reality" LP single cover.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.  Ronhjones  (Talk) 19:51, 26 April 2013 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for June 6[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited List of best-selling albums in the Philippines, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Soundtracks (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

I don't think you did anything you need to apologise for. Everyone makes mistakes, and it's a wiki, so they are easily fixed. I replied on my talk page. Begoontalk 09:44, 20 July 2013 (UTC)

Nina albums and non-free content[edit]

I've tagged the articles you have nominated at GAC as needing attention concerning non-free content; they can't become good articles while these problems remain. Please be aware that music samples should be no more than 30 seconds/10% of the track length (whichever is shorter). Album covers should be no more than 300 by 300 px. Most importantly, each usage of non-free content requires a separate, specific rationale on the sample's page. You've also got to ask yourself whether these articles really need as many samples as they currently have. J Milburn (talk) 23:50, 12 August 2013 (UTC)

Opting in to VisualEditor[edit]

As you may know, VisualEditor ("Edit beta") is currently available on the English Wikipedia only for registered editors who choose to enable it. Since you have made 50 or more edits with VisualEditor this year, I want to make sure that you know that you can enable VisualEditor (if you haven't already done so) by going to your preferences and choosing the item, "Enable VisualEditor. It will be available in the following namespaces: $1". This will give you the option of using VisualEditor on articles and userpages when you want to, and give you the opportunity to spot changes in the interface and suggest improvements. We value your feedback, whether positive or negative, about using VisualEditor, at Wikipedia:VisualEditor/Feedback. Thank you, Whatamidoing (WMF) (talk) 20:24, 11 October 2013 (UTC)

Nofoolz, I didn't write the above post. A bot-gone-haywire did....I fixed the false signature. Thank you for your post at my talk page. As I understand, you are the nominator of the articl ebut not an editor of it. It will need some work to achieve GA, and there appear to be no editor present, including no respons on my noted items for over 27 days. The best to you!
