Request to express your thoughts at Nomination of Sadat Hossain for deletion
If you are able to express your thoughts and regards again Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Sadat Hossain (3rd nomination) it will be helpful. He is famous and renowned writer in Bangladesh and IMDB listed Director. It is third time it nominated for deletetion. I think this is personal vendetta to delete this article. - Hey, @Jubair Sayeed Linas, it's generally best not to try to get people to an AfD with requests on their user talks, and especially with non-neutrally worded ones. It's okay to post a neutrally-worded request at a related wikiproject, such as Wikipedia:WikiProject Biography/Arts and entertainment or Wikipedia:WikiProject Bangladesh. I actually wouldn't feel comfortable !voting there now because I've been WP:CANVASSED.

- @El C: Specifically book 9 is a slog (you'll see why if/when you get there), and books 8 and 10 can also be some work. Sanderson did an excellent job finishing the series with where book 11 left off, which inspired me to look him up and I've been a fanboy since.

Watched all 3 eps, which were released all at once, while I believe the remaining 5 will be released normally (individually/weekly) — I was hoping we'd get something like Arcane's 3 acts of 3 eps fractal, but alas, no, and 8 eps total it seems. Took me years to realize that for some reason the Hebrew print has 20 books to the original's 14. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Also, for years I only had 5, which left me very confused. But then I got 1 and it all came together. - @Primergrey, the use of an offensive term in a discussion not even about that term seemed completely gratuitous to me -- nothing about that point required the n-word to be spelled out in full in order to make the point just as well -- but I'm willing to listen. Why do you feel it wasn't appropriate? If the discussion had been about racist/gay slurs, then yeah, maybe we need to be spelling them out for clarity. - The entire discussion is about "offensive" terms. That thread has multiple instances of "lame", "cripple", "retarded", etc. The IP's whole point was that while some terms are offensive to some people, there are other terms that are almost universally offensive, to the point where certain people can get out of line in an effort to not see them. And, anyway, it's not anyone's place to redact what isn't clear vandalism or a BLP violation. Primergrey (talk) 16:20, 22 November 2021 (UTC)

Using the n-word in a discussion about "wheelchair-bound" to emphasize that that term isn't offensive because it's not associated with actual lynchings, etc., is just unnecessary. They could have said, '"No one says "fucking wheelchair-bound", but they do say "fucking n*****" while actually beating up Black people' would have made the exact same point. I'd have asked them to reword it themselves but unfortunately it's a dynamic IP who has never edited their current user talk. - I just feel compelled to briefly weigh in here, insofar as I very much agree with valereee; while I wouldn't go so far as to say the words should never be seen, I don't believe they need to be seen on Wikipedia in most circumstances. That's Wikipedia, uncensored. But our workspaces -- the places we discuss our work -- we seldom need to use the term itself, spelled out, in order to make our point. Arcane (TV series) is super-excellent
Even though for years League has been the most played game of my favourite gaming YouTuber, Dunkey, I've never played it, or even really watched any of his videos about it (too much stuff happening on-screen) — so I know nothing of the lore. But that's irrelevant. Arcane on Netflix (I'm at ep 6 of 9) is one of the best animated anything I've seen since Attack on Titan (TV series). Current RT score = 100 percent.
The animation is so good. Probably the most expressive faces I've ever seen in an animated anything (and I've seen pretty much all of the Disney classics, Pixar and Miyazaki films, etc.). Speaking of Disney but in its modern, sucky incarnation, there's none of the usual pseudo-left nonsense. Nearly all the characters are damaged, haunted individuals, including its dominant female cast (above all else, the two sisters), which is entirely devoid of Mary Sue pandering.
Great story arc and dialogue; great voice acting; and great soundtrack and soundscape. The music video of the series' theme is pretty damn cool, all on its own, showcasing the show's incredible animation prowess (minor spam). Also, just a great track. Here it is: Enemy. Arbitration
Why did you get me involved in the Kurds and Kurdistan case? I don’t even care about Kurdistan. I don’t even really care about the topic ban. I topic banned myself. Didn't a user do a witch hunt and hunt down anybody who opposes Kurdistan? So that’s why I made a pretty good deal: topic ban me but do NOT get me involved in any arbitration. I don’t know what that is and I don’t want to know what that is and I don’t want to go near that. But you didn’t do your side of the deal and got me involved. So what do you want from me then? Wasn't the whole point to hunt down anybody opposed to Kurdistan and get them (potentially) topic banned? And now that case has ruined me. Why would you let a banned user open an arbitration case?! And if you do, why do you get me involved?! FYI that user is now blocked for a month on the Wikimedia Commons for the exact same behavior. I'm now indefinitely blocked on the French Wikipedia and they're saying it's because of this case. I never meant any harm to anybody. I don't have any point of view and I don't know anything about Kurdistan nor do I have any idea what it is. Am I topic banned because I said Kurdistan was a secular idea? Because I don’t know why I said that and I did not know what else to say. I tried to say something useful. What was I supposed to say? "Ocalan4life?" Should I have said "Erdogan is a stupid Islamist and the PKK should take over Turkey and execute Erdogan by hanging and Abdullah Ocalan should be the new president of Turkey?" Now Paradise Chronicle has what I said on their user page and when I tried to remove it, Paradise Chronicle went forum shopping and I ended up being blocked for a month. Do you even understand that Wikipedia ended up being a black hole for me? I tried to quit Wikipedia after I was involuntarily involved in that arbitration case. I left for half of January and another 12 days in February and another two weeks in May. During that time, I didn't go on Wikipedia at all. It was probably the longest time that I didn't go on Wikipedia. Is that what I should do? I've always been on Wikipedia and I've had an account since 2013 though I only used it sparingly until the pandemic broke out. Wikipedia is the only media I had. During the pandemic, there was nobody to talk to and no media to look at. I don't know what people do during the pandemic, watch Netflix, play video games, go on Facebook or Twitter but I don't have any of that. Are you really saying that I'm a criminal or a terrorist? On that banned user's talk page, you can clearly see lots of warnings and they made 9,000 edits during that time. I made at least 18,000 edits during that time and if you go through my talk page history, do you see any warnings? Don’t usually topic banned editors have lots of warnings? If you go through my talk page history, do you see a single warning on it? Anyway, starting in January, I probably won't even be going on Wikipedia anymore because I will be more busy. Maybe I'm not going to go on it anymore right now. What did I do to deserve this though? Did I break any rules? If so, what rules did I break? Again, I really do not care about all about Kurdistan nor do I really know anything about it. There was just a sockpuppet, an LTA actually, who caused this entire mess, who removed the redirect from that Syrian Kurdistan page and I got rid of him and reverted lots of their edits and somehow that ended up being a big drama and I ended up getting topic banned. I hope you're happy. Everything was going great. I could have been one of Wikipedia's top fans. Instead, you let a banned user open an arbitration case and I get involved involuntarily. Now, I might be one of its biggest critics. I'm sorry. Maybe it looks like I'm ranting here but I just didn't. Maybe this is a violation of my topic ban? Whatever, I just felt like I had to get that out. I wonder if you think me and Muslims are terrorists. A user accused me and two other editors of being tolerant to ISIS and nobody did anything about it. Instead all of us get topic banned. That user also admits on their user page that they are frequently accused of being an Islamophobe. I wonder why. Wikipedia did get blocked in Turkey because of this because it was accused of supporting terrorists. And again I may be a Muslim but I have no opinion on Kurdistan and know about it probably as much as you do. The other two editors who got topic banned were heavily involved in the Syrian Kurdistan page. I WAS NOT. That banned user was going on and on about Kurdish immigration and said that I was arguing that Kurds in Syria did not originate from that or something like that and I had no clue what he was talking about and I tried to remove my supposed involvement but he reverted me. I was recently diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes. If you want to know the proof, you can go to my user contributions and you'll see the time from June 27th 2020 to July 3rd 2020, I didn't make any edits while every single day before and after that time frame I did. That was because my blood sugar got too high and I was taken to the hospital unconscious. Again, I really do not know anything about Kurdistan. I'm not Syrian. I don't have a degree in history. I'm just a guy who joined Wikipedia and hoped to make a positive difference to the world. When I first started editing, I focused mostly on Covid articles and I even created a couple then I moved on to other topics. That sockpuppet, an LTA, has been editing with different accounts since 2005. I have spent hours going through their history. That most recent sock of his might just be the last one, though. It did edit recently globally, but there's only so much you can do on other language wikis. He is Irish and was topic banned from the Troubles indefinitely for similar behavior as his most recent sock. He would serially edit war for a period of six months about putting in POV terms such as 'six counties'. The sockmaster's name is Lapsed Pacifist. I don't know how exactly he has allowed his pacifism to lapse, by edit warring to insert maps made on MS Paint into the Syrian Kurdistan article? And after 12 years of wreaking havoc in the Troubles articles, he decided to come and wreak havoc here and get a similar block for reverting nine times over one month and making arguments such as "the residents seemed to prefer this to being under the rule of ISIS" in the Tell Abyad article. In fact, you're probably not going to read to the bottom of this but I really felt like I had to get this out. This entire year, this has been going through my mind. I don't think you understand as I write this I am in tears. I'm literally just a poor innocent guy who hoped to make positive contributions to the world. I never attacked anybody. I never edit warred. Without Wikipedia, I have literally nothing but my life left. I have nothing. I followed all the rules diligently. Why does a banned user who did not follow any rules get to open an arbitration case and get me involved and a user like me gets involuntarily involved, topic banned, and blocked? For a while, I was involved in removing and replacing WP:DAILYMAIL references. Just ask David Gerard. I got a DYK once on an article that I created. Why does this happen to me? Isn't this corruption? Banned users opening arbitration cases while users like me who have zero problems like me get involuntarily involved, topic banned, and blocked. I'm sorry for any harm that I caused to this encyclopedia. I never meant to hurt anyone. Again I'm sorry this might seem like a rant but for this entire year I've been holding this in. And now that I’m indefinitely blocked on the French Wikipedia and I tried to appeal it too and tell them that it wasn't my intention to vandalize but they're saying my behavior on the English wiki was not good so why should they unblock me there. I tried to move some city pages in Syria to their official name since over there you don't need autoconfirmed rights to move a page. After that sockpuppet was blocked, they went on other wikis and created translations of articles about cities in Syria so I moved the articles to match with all the other language wikis Then, I tried to modify them so they could match with their English Wikipedia articles and that got me indefinitely blocked. So I just couldn't hold it in anymore and I had to say this to someone and maybe I decided to tell you because I remembered that you told me that you felt bad for me for involving me in all this. Maybe now you understand. I tried to quit Wikipedia even before I was topic banned. I went on Reddit for a while and read what they're saying about you and Wikipedia. Do you know if there is a way to quit Wikipedia? I tried to delete it from my browsing history so that it wouldn’t pop up in the address bar. Literally, on my phone, I would search for Wikipedia in my history and just go through all the entries and try removing them from my browsing history. To be honest, after writing this, I don't know if I'll ever go on Wikipedia again. This might just be my last edit on Wikipedia ever. I guess it was fun while I was here even if you guys ruined it for me. Things were going great. I got rid of a sockpuppet. Then a user got indefinitely blocked. How was he able to open an arb case? Who said we needed one? It should've just ended like that. Good guys win. Bad guys go home. But no. The admins decided that we need an arb case. Why did it have to be this way? Did it really have to be this way? Why couldn't justice just have been served and the banned users get banned with no arb case? Why did I get topic banned? Did I commit a crime or break the law? If I didn't break the law, then why did I get topic banned? So, then it's just your word vs my word. Imagine if that was the way it was in real life. If police were just able to arrest someone just because they "feel" like someone did something wrong not because they actually committed a crime or broke the law. Why do you think there are all these protests in America right now about police brutality? Anyway, if you feel like what I'm saying is inappropriate, you won't have to worry about it because I might not go back on here again after this. Perhaps goodbye. Everything was going great. Why am I all of a sudden a bad guy? I'll admit my edits were not maybe that useful but nobody has ever called them disruptive. Anyway, I might start going on my phone and start deleting all the Wikipedia entries again. Who knows? Maybe I'll join Reddit and rant about how terrible Wikipedia is like some other users do. I don't know but this might just be it for me on Wikipedia. You might not even have to worry about responding because I might not even come back here again. During my time on Wikipedia, I created several articles although they weren't admittedly the most useful articles and I even had autopatrolled rights so I can't help but ask what happened exactly? How did everything go so wrong? Everything was calm until that sockpuppet returned and started pushing their point of view on the Syrian Kurdistan and then that banned user joined in and turned that article into a black hole. But once those two were out of the way, everything calmed down so why was there an arb case and why was I involved when I specifically requested not to be. In any case, I'm getting tired now. My thumb is getting tired now. My wrist is getting tired and numb from holding my phone. I guess I'll wrap it up and post what I’ve written. Perhaps Goodbye... P.S. about my username. I don't know why I chose it. I made this account eight years ago. I probably should choose another username but I can't really think of a different one. Oh ya and also I'm sorry if I was talking inappropriately during that unblock request. I just really did not know what to do and I was trying to quit Wikipedia even before I was topic banned. It was something big that I even returned to Wikipedia at all at that point. I ended up not going on Wikipedia for a week. You could have even blocked me on Wikipedia for another week then and it wouldn't have mattered because I didn't return to editing Wikipedia until 11 days after my block expired. Something else I noticed is when I moved the 2020–2021 Ayn Issa clashes page from the draft to the mainspace, a Turkish account appeared and started adding PKK as a belligerent to every article that Turkey fought the SDF in and started removing content from the exact page that got Wikipedia banned. And do the media portray Turkey as fighting the PKK('s branch) in Syria? Anyway, it's late where I live so I think I'll just end it here. I need to go to sleep. Good night. And I don't know if you're aware but Lapsed Pacifist may very well make another account and user:Asmaybe was the most recent account blocked as a sockpuppet of Lapsed Pacifist because he shared an IP address with user:Konli17 but Asmaybe was allowed to go free after passing through arbitration because they decided that Asmaybe was unlikely to be a sockpuppet even though I believe they are behaviorally the same. I was going to report it but given the circumstances I'm in, I just decided not to bring it up. I wanted to open an SPI into User:Ecrusized because I thought he might be a sockpuppet of Lapsed Pacifist but I ended up being blocked for a month after Paradise Chronicle went forum shopping. Ok my phone now has less than 20% charge so I better wrap it up. You know I haven't even read through the arbitration case. There's a lot of walls of text just like the Syrian Kurdistan article. I never really got what the whole dispute on that article is about. I kind of get the gist of it: The name of Syria is the Syrian Arab Republic just like Egypt is called the Egyptian Arab Republic so saying there's a Kurdistan in Syria is kind of incompatible because then it wouldn't be the Syrian Arab Republic. - Unregistered editors using the mobile website are now able to receive notices to indicate they have talk page messages. The notice looks similar to what is already present on desktop, and will be displayed on when viewing any page except mainspace and when editing any page. (T284642)
- The limit on the number of emails a user can send per day has been made global instead of per-wiki to help prevent abuse. (T293866)

- Voting in the 2021 Arbitration Committee Elections is open until 23:59, 06 December 2021 (UTC).
- The already authorized standard discretionary sanctions for all pages relating to the Horn of Africa (defined as including Ethiopia, Somalia, Eritrea, Djibouti, and adjoining areas if involved in related disputes), broadly construed, have been made permanent.

A recently closed Request for Comment (RFC) reached consensus to remove Autopatrolled from the administrator user group. You may, similarly as with Edit Filter Manager, choose to self-assign this permission to yourself. Changing police cracked down to police criticized not only went against the source but insensitive to those who were there
I've tried to put it as mildly as I can. I was there and participated or saw on tv what the police did to similar demonstrations elsewhere. They used teargas and batons to crackdown on people and police horses and those were truly frightening. There may be to much use of MMfA in the article and I think that can be fixed, but your change also introduced bias/lack of neutrality IMHO. I recently was asked to write short piece about my participation at Selma for a Black History Month for the company where my daughter works - going back over my memories of it was not pleasant. In any case I strongly disagree with your comment at DYK although as I said, am happy to see some of the use of MMfA dropped or attributed. - I can definitely recommend reading the books, too. They are excellent (and sometimes unfortunately necessary for understanding the nuances of the TV show’s plot). ... you reverted your post to my talk page as a bad bargain. Because, after all, Hec Fowler is a notable subject. There's a fair bit that can be said about him. Go take a look at the article now: in just a half hour of work, I found several published books and newspaper accounts to fill in several of the gaps and put in inline sources; there is obviously enough to write a sound article on Fowler, and there's more to boot -- a respected hockey blogger extensively quoted a 1951 Montreal Gazette article on Fowler, and I'd be churning right on to that if it wasn't time to make dinner for my wife.
And all that took was some legwork, on a hockey goalie who retired nearly a century ago. Because our paradigm is that NSPORTS is supposed to be indicative of athletes that can meet the GNG, and that when challenged -- as you rightly and reasonably did -- we ought to be able to come up with reliable sources to buttress any assertions, and with enough significant coverage to be able to write a meaningful article. This is not, obviously, the intent with the food proposal: there, you're pretty much admitting that the sigcov doesn't exist and may well never exist. We don't always succeed in the sports projects (and I'm just as pissed off at the notion that we should keep articles about which nothing is known of the players, just because, as you might desire). - @Ravenswing, I reverted because I didn't feel like it was worth arguing over, but I guess here we go. As I said in the OP, he's quite likely notable, and that all it needed was someone with access to the sources to add them. Which is the whole point of SNGs, and which is all I want for food items in Guanghzhou or Laos or Lesotho: for someone with access to be encouraged to do the research, and in the meantime we presume notability, just like we did with Hec, because the foods have played an at-bat in a major league game.

Hey. The only thing that I will do is propose the 10 line synopsis as the other editors requested. I believe they will accept it, or they'll request minimal adjustment. This is very close to the end. As you can see, the other editors have not completed the synopsis, so I would argue that it is beneficial to unblock me as I will quickly propose their requested version and it will be done. I will not cause problems, you can moderate it (not that it is required). I can guarantee this. Do you think you can unblock my acc on the Game Changers article so that we can finish the synopsis?
