Barry Marder page
Why are you editing Barry Marder and Ted L Nancy pages? Do we need our attorney to explain what the Barry Marder and Ted L Nancy wikipedia should contain? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mtamony (talk • contribs) 16:22, 5 September 2012 (UTC)
- Hello. Your attorney does not decide what should be on Wikipedia, consensus does. I've changed it into a disambiguation page for the two authors now. -- Wikipedical (talk) 17:53, 5 September 2012 (UTC)
- Why are you editing these pages? Bruce Baum did not author some of the books you have listed. You are incorrectly editing pages. Mtamony —Preceding undated comment added 18:51, 5 September 2012 (UTC)
- Why do you continue to edit these pages? You have edited Barry Marder page as well as Ted L Nancy page? We can update the content and create better citations, but why just redirect it? Mtamony
Non-free rationale for File:ScroogeFirst.jpg
Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:ScroogeFirst.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.
If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. The Weekenders (TV pilot)
I don't think a close and move on the same day that an article is nominated through WP:RM is a good closure. Since the RM process is supposed to run for atleast 7 days, could you revert what you did, and reopen the discussion (to run for 7 days from the date of reopening) ? Or could you provide a policy-based rationale for the early close and move? Since you didn't leave a rationale for your early close, or a rationale for the move, it's a headscratcher as to what parameters you used to determine that it should be moved, and to the name it was moved to. -- 76.65.131.248 (talk) 22:42, 23 September 2012 (UTC)

Hello. Just to let you know that I declined your PROD on Todd Zuniga. I was a bit undecided so have erred on the side of keeping it - partly because there are sources from legitimate news publications given as references. It would be worth taking to WP:AfD though for a proper consensus. Cheers, Whouk (talk) 12:14, 2 October 2012 (UTC)
Recent prods
I have removed several prod tags that you recently placed on articles. Would you care to explain how the prod rationale on Frankie Paul article, which already cites Allmusic and two encyclopedias, stating "Fails to meet WP:N; no reliable sources." is in any way appropriate? I am struggling to see this as constructive editing. --Michig (talk) 06:41, 5 October 2012 (UTC)
- Please note as well that, although it is not required, the article's creator or other significant contributors should ideally be left a message at their talk page(s) informing them of the proposed article deletion, except for cases where contributors are no longer regarded as active editors on Wikipedia. This should be done by adding the {{subst:Proposed deletion notify|Name of Article}} tag, or other appropriate text. I do not see any evidence of notifications in your contribution history. If I missed them, please let me know here. Thanks, Tgeairn (talk) 05:33, 14 October 2012 (UTC)

Your recent PRODs
You are prodding too many articles in too short a space of time. Not only are you creating a lot of work for other editors you are clearly not spending enough time looking at these articles and considering alternatives to deletion before tagging them. Some of the articles you tagged are clearly not suitable for proposed deletion, which is only for uncontroversial deletion candidates. --Michig (talk) 05:57, 14 October 2012 (UTC)
- Having reviewed some of the Prods, I agree with Michig's comment, and feel the need to emphasize that Prods have only ever meant to be used for uncontroversial deletions. Paul Erik (talk)(contribs) 03:23, 17 October 2012 (UTC)

Just wanted to stop by and say a big thank you for your cleaning up of the references on the Lost article. I've been meaning to get to it for quite awhile now, and I started yesterday, and it was nice to see that you got more of it completed. Sky Italia channel line up Afd
Hi Wikipedical, I appreciate you reaching out to me. I am a brand new "editor" at Wikipedia and I am still unsure how to use this interface, it is a bit bewildering, however I have join in on commenting because they did delete Sky Italia channel page which I still need for work. I am very upset about that. How can we make sure that useful items are recognized as useful even if they piss people off? I am going to try and comment to keep most of the pages but this really is frustrating.Lanaii7 (talk) 16:26, 1 November 2012 (UTC)

Your request for rollback
Hi Wikipedical/Archive 3. After reviewing your request for rollback, I have enabled rollback on your account. Keep in mind these things when going to use rollback:
- Getting rollback is no more momentous than installing Twinkle.
- Rollback should be used to revert clear cases of vandalism only, and not good faith edits.
- Rollback should never be used to edit war.
- If abused, rollback rights can be revoked.
- Use common sense.
If you no longer want rollback, contact me and I'll remove it. Also, for some more information on how to use rollback, see Wikipedia:New admin school/Rollback (even though you're not an admin). I'm sure you'll do great with rollback, but feel free to leave me a message on my talk page if you run into troubles or have any questions about appropriate/inappropriate use of rollback. Thank you for helping to reduce vandalism. Happy editing! v/r - TP 15:48, 11 November 2012 (UTC)

Polo200/Sandbox
Thanks for specifying which article you meant; a db-repost is useless for a mass AFD without a link and without anything clear in the text of the page. The difference between the two is that User:2679D/List of StarHub TV and mio TV channels was created after the deletion discussion, while Polo's sandbox wasn't. The deletion of a page with certain content definitely doesn't mean that we automatically delete the same content in other previously-existing pages that weren't part of the discussion; sometimes the deletion reason is applicable in both situations (e.g. copyvios), but it's not here. Imagine if User:Nyttend/Ohio NRHP/Pickaway were in mainspace: it's definitely not encyclopedic, and it would deserve to be deleted, but it's fine in userspace because it helps me to coordinate tasks unobtrusively, and it therefore wouldn't be deleted just because the mainspace page was. Nyttend (talk) 02:49, 16 November 2012 (UTC)
- Nor is this sandbox. As I keep telling you, the sandbox existed three years before the mainspace page was deleted, and as such it is not a repost. You're free to nominate it for miscellany for deletion (and I'd lean toward a "delete" vote), but WP:FAKEARTICLE is not a reason for speedy deletion. Nyttend (talk) 02:56, 16 November 2012 (UTC)

SNL
The template is totally confusing for many wikipedians and other viewers. Please let us change to the way it was. --AmazingRaceClub talk • edits —Preceding undated comment added 23:06, 28 November 2012 (UTC)
Re: SNL
However, the things you named are TV shows. There is a difference as in the TV shows this template is used to describe what happened in an episode. In this case, it does not work with SNL as SNL has notes, not episode desription. It was better the other way as right next to the episode the notes were given as what the special guests were, etc. Putting it one next to each other makes it more confusing then putting it one under another in this white table instead of this. Either way SNL 38 and 37 are the only ones that have the new layout so. It is better to keep it the way it has been for years. --AmazingRaceClub talk • edits —Preceding undated comment added 23:06, 28 November 2012 (UTC)

Gun laws in the United States by state
Interesting rename. I'm not sure, but think it makes sense. But this is surely not correct. There are two completely different articles -- the one you just renamed to Gun laws in the United States by state, about the state laws, and Gun law in the United States, about the federal laws. The old name Gun laws in the United States (by state) should definitely redirect to Gun laws in the United States by state. Does WP:V apply to plot summaries?
Hi Wikipedical. I appreciate more eyes on the Talk:The_Sword_of_Shannara#Sources_for_claims_in_the_plot_summaries question. But I'm a bit uncertain on which way your comment is intended to go, relative to the two opinions that were stated immediately preceding your comment.
I'm feeling a bit disoriented by the discussion there, as this is the first time I've every heard an editor take a position that original research plot summaries of fiction are okay on the Wikipedia, and that the core policy WP:V does not apply to those parts of the encyclopedia.
Moreoverr, since that editor seems not to want to follow WP:BRD procedure, and discuss for a while to see if a consensus can be reached, and just wants to revert, I don't think it is a productive idea for me to revert him again to try to keep the focus on the Discussion/Consensus-building.
At any rate, a clarification of your comment would be much appreciated. And if your view is that the recent revert of the article does not represent policy, then perhaps you could consider reverting and bringing it back to the Talk page for more consensus building. Cheers. N2e (talk) 05:32, 16 January 2013 (UTC)
- Thanks for puttung your thoughts into the discussion. Since it has no source whatsovever, as you point out, the primary source ought to be cited with page number(s) etc, which you also indicated you agreed with.
- That, to me, would indicate that the {citation needed} tags should have stayed, and not be removed by The Ed17, during the course of the discussion. That is my only argument. Then the WP:BRD process on the Talk page could run its course in the normal way. If the consensus is your view, and my view, that even primary sources should be cited, then that consensus would indicate that the tags on the plot summary stay. I don't want to be the only editor reverting The Ed17 there, so if you really think that, I offer again the opportunity for you to revert it so the discussion can continue in good faith.
- I don't agree that citationneeded tags are necessary nor appropriate. As I said at the discussion, while it is preferable to have inline citations, the absence of them in a plot summary section implies the section content's source is the primary source itself, like To Kill a Mockingbird#Plot summary, as I mentioned. -- Wikipedical (talk) 13:21, 16 January 2013 (UTC)
- Fair enough. Thanks for sharing your thought and rationale. And thanks for entering into that discussion in good faith. Cheers. N2e (talk) 13:47, 16 January 2013 (UTC)
Adult Swim programs
Alright, I am prepared to make a compramise or a an agreement with you. I would like for you to stop doing large scale edits to the page, which could end in us both being blocked from editing, which nobody wants, and I believe these are reasonable suggestions.
- You can organize the page you have been organizing it. It is much more informative this way.
- The colored boxes should not be colored. It does not make much sense.
- The boxes that were colored should be kept, though should not be colored like they previously were. This allows for more information storage.
- Do not remove ratings, ratings are information just like everything else here. If you say there is no reason to keep it, that brings the question into mind: What reason is there to delete it? Plus, it is not our job to say it is not useful. Someone out there will probably find some use for it.
- Keep unaired programming noted, as they were scheduled to air but did not. I would suggest moving it into it's own section.
- Keep all information from the previous article. If it does not have a scource, I will try my hardest to find it, as I am certain they are not lies.
- Keep the expired/finished section. Expired programming should belong in the past programming section, as it is accquired programming they do not have the rights to any longer. Finished programming, on the other hand, they still have the rights to broadcast.
Then again, I do not have the authority to make such edits without any sort of permission, and neither do you (not trying to be disrespectful). Many users agree with this statement, but that does not necessarily mean they disagree with your decisions, and another has agreed with me that you should check the talk page first for discussion. For now, I would recommend you not change anything until you start a discussion at the talk page. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 65.121.222.242 (talk) 20:44, 21 January 2013 (UTC)

Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Orphaned non-free media (File:Variety logo 2013.gif)
Thanks for uploading File:Variety logo 2013.gif. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Hazard-Bot (talk) 05:09, 21 April 2013 (UTC)
Lost
Hi Wikipedical,
I apologize for the Lost (TV series) move; I saw that there was no previous move to the title and therefore thought that I would be bold, but I should have seen the discussion on the talk page. I have moved the talk page back to where it was. Do you know if a move to the main Lost title has been discussed? I do not find this middle-of-the-road, partial-disambiguation title to be adequate.
