- From 1981-1987 no bronze medals were actually awarded. From 1988 to 1989 and from 1997 to 2006 there has been an actual bronze medal game. From 1990 to 2006 both semi-finalist losers won bronze medals. Since 2007 the lone semi-final loser wins the bronze medal.
