Miss Thailand World is a national pageant, which the winners go to compete in the Miss World beauty pageant and whoever is voted to have a beautiful Chinese complextion will be selected to participate in Miss Chinese International. Miss Thailand World is not related the previous Miss Thailand or Miss Universe Thailand.

The reigning Miss Thailand World is Nonthawan Thongleng, who was crowned on June 21, 2014 in Bangkok by Kanyapak Phoksomboon, Miss Thailand World 2013. The winner will be the representative for Miss Thailand at the Miss World 2014 pageant.[1]

This year, the Miss Thailand World 2014 pageant will be held on June 21, 2014. The final was held at Bangkok Convention Centre at Central Plaza Ladprao in Bangkok.[2] The winner will be the representative for Thailand at the Miss World 2014 pageant.

History[edit]

In 1985, BEC-Tero Entertainment Pcl. (Channel 3) was awarded the rights to host the Miss Thailand World pageant and to send a Thai representative to compete at Miss World. Parnlekha Wanmuang was crowned the first Miss Thailand World in 1985.

Miss Thailand World was broadcast on Channel 3 in Thailand.

Performance at Miss World[edit]

In 1989, Prathumrat Woramali, as Miss Thailand World 1989, was Thailand's representative at Miss World 1989 in Hong Kong. She won the Queen of Asia Award, and later became the 3rd runner-up Miss World 1989.

In 1992, Methinee Kingpayhom, as Miss Thailand World 1992 won Queen of Asia in Miss World 1992

In 1994, Patinya Thongsri, as Miss Thailand World 1994, was announced as Thailand first ever Miss Personality in Miss World 1994.

In 1997 at Baie Lazare, Seychelles Tanya Tiana Suesuntisook, as Miss Thailand World 1997, won Miss Personality and was ranked as the 4th runner-up Miss World 1997.

In Miss World 2001 at Sun City, South Africa, Lada Engchawadechasilp received Miss Photogenic Award.
