Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Sankarabharanam, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Tamil (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

[edit]

Hi there, re: this edit of yours, I have reverted it, because there's no clear information in the article that this is a bilingual film, which is what your edit implies. Please provide references, as well as appropriate context in prose form in the article, if you can substantiate that the film was produced as bilingual. ArbCom 2017 election voter message

[edit]

Hello, Sivagopalakrishnan. Voting in the 2017 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23.59 on Sunday, 10 December. All users who registered an account before Saturday, 28 October 2017, made at least 150 mainspace edits before Wednesday, 1 November 2017 and are not currently blocked are eligible to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2017 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 18:42, 3 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Edit warring at Mahalakshmi (Kannada actress)

[edit]
Stop icon

Your recent editing history at Mahalakshmi (Kannada actress) shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See BRD for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. -- Marchjuly (talk) 10:38, 18 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not keep adding native spellings of names to the infobox and lead of Mahalakshmi (Kannada actress). This is something that WP:INDIA has determined through consensus is to acceptable per WP:NOINDICSCRIPTS. If you feel an exception should be made, please explain why on the article's talk page. Continuing to edit war will eventually lead to an administrator being asked to interve to prevent any further disruption. -- Marchjuly (talk) 10:41, 18 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Agreed. I have removed the scripts again. You will find yourself blocked from editing if you persist in ignoring the consensus regarding use of these scripts. - Sitush (talk) 11:50, 21 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Rajasree

[edit]

I have noticed that in some articles on Tamil films created by me, you add Rajasree's name with the leading actors without quoting any source. I include the names of lead actors/actresses as per information found in the source that I quote. When you add someone else, it differs with my referenced source. I feel that you give undue prominence to Rajasree for some reason or other. When you edit and add a name, please ensure that the reference source contains that name. Note on adding unsourced content

[edit]
A cup of coffee for you!

Hey, I'm Flooded with them hundreds. I noticed that you added content to an article but didn't provide a reliable source. You should cite a reliable source for all of your edits so that they can be verified. In Wikipedia, verifiability means that other people using the encyclopedia can check that the information comes from a reliable source. Adding unsourced content contravenes Wikipedia's policy on verifiability. If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial.

Wikipedia does not publish original research, which refers to material—such as facts, allegations, ideas, and personal experiences—for which no reliable, published sources exist. Its content is determined by previously published information rather than the beliefs or experiences of its editors. Even if you're sure something is true, it must be verifiable before you can add it. The verifiability policy requires inline citations for any material challenged or likely to be challenged, and for all quotations, anywhere in article space. Articles should be based on reliable and published sources (see Wikipedia:Neutral point of view) and if no reliable sources can be found on a topic, Wikipedia should not have an article on it.

Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Flooded with them hundreds 13:22, 28 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Editing with a possible conflict of interest

[edit]
Information icon

Hello Sivagopalakrishnan. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially egregious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat SEO.

Paid advocates are very strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists, and if it does not, from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.

Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Sivagopalakrishnan. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Sivagopalakrishnan|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. --SamHolt6 (talk) 03:31, 10 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

You need to do this for ALL of the articles you've been paid to edit, including ALL of the previous articles. From this comment on Commons, you've been doing this for a while now. This is not something that's optional, it's required by the Wikipedia Terms of Use. Ravensfire (talk) 04:47, 10 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
You've edited several times since this notice was left and still haven't made any other declarations that I can see. If you don't start making these declarations for the prior articles you've created, I'll have to take this to Administrator's Noticeboard. These aren't optional declarations and you cannot just stall - you must make them immediately. Please just do the right thing here. Ravensfire (talk) 16:02, 12 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
You've edited again after this note without making any disclosures or responding here, so I've no choice but to assume you do not plan on making the required disclosures and are ignores WP:PAID and the Terms of Use for Wikipedia. I'll be taking this to the administrator board, asking that you be blocked until ALL of the required disclosures were made. I suspect every article you've created as been for pay. I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page.
