Sanghera

Sanghera (Punjabi:ਸੰਘੇੜਾ ) (pronounced as "san-gae-rhaa") is a gotra of the Jat people.

Geographical distribution

In India, members of the Sanghera gotra are found in the states of Punjab and Haryana. Sanghera's are settled in large numbers in Gurdaspur, Delhi, Chandigarh, Amritsar, Jalandhar, Hoshiarpur, Fatehgarh, Patiala, Sangrur, Nabha, Ludhiana, Malerkotla, Moga, Ferozepur, and Bathinda. There are several pinds in India which were originated by Sanghera's. There are also Sanghera,s from other villages, cities or maybe countries. But the most of them belongs to Bilga (the biggest village of Panjaab).

Sangheras have migrated to all corners of the globe with significant populations having settled in parts of Malaysia, Canada, the United States, Singapore, the United Kingdom and Australia. Village\Districs\State
