This article contains the results of the 2008 Democratic presidential primaries and caucuses.

Candidates

The known candidates with national campaigns are John Edwards, Mike Gravel, Dennis Kucinich, Barack Obama, and Hillary Rodham Clinton. Candidates who had national campaigns, but withdrew their candidacy are Joe Biden, Christopher Dodd, Bill Richardson, and Tom Vilsack.

Hillary Clinton, Christopher Dodd (who has withdrawn from the race), Mike Gravel, and Dennis Kucinich were the only candidates on the ballot following the Democratic National Committee's action to strip Michigan of all its 156 delegates for holding its primary before February 5, 2008.[6]
