File:ONR System Map.PNG is now available on Wikimedia Commons as Commons:File:ONR System Map.PNG. This is a repository of free media that can be used on all Wikimedia wikis. Welcome to Wikipedia. The recent edit that you made to the page Allied invasion of Sicily has been reverted, as it appears to be unconstructive. Please use the sandbox for testing any edits; if you believe the edit was constructive, please ensure that you provide an informative edit summary. You may also wish to read the introduction to editing for further information. Thank you. Alansohn (talk) 17:18, 9 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Note

Hi, and thanks for all your edits to association football and American football articles, but please try to make your edits comply with WP:DASH and Wikipedia:Manual of Style (capital letters). Thanks, Dabomb87 (talk) 03:21, 14 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a search with the contents of Eastern Express (Newspaper), and it appears to be very similar to another Wikipedia page: Eastern Express. It is possible that you have accidentally duplicated contents, or made an error while creating the page— you might want to look at the pages and see if that is the case. If you are intentionally trying to rename an article, please see Help:Moving a page for instructions on how to do this without copying and pasting. If you are trying to move or copy content from one article to a different one, please see Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia and be sure you have acknowledged the duplication of material in an edit summary to preserve attribution history.

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. CorenSearchBot (talk) 20:23, 14 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

This maps is not entirely accurate. The line from Thessaloniki to Dedeagatch (Alexandroupolis), Pythion and Constantinople belonged to Jonction Salonique-Constantinople or JSC. SV1XV (talk) 07:02, 26 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Creation of redirect page

Hi! I realize that when you want to rename a page, you delete its content, add a redirect link and create a page with the new title. By this way, the history information remains at the redirect page. However, the easiest way to accomplish this task is to move the page by using the "move" tag at the top right of that page by inserting the new page title in the appropriate field. This method allows the history information is moved to the new page and creates a redirect link at the old page at the same time. Try it next time. Cheers. CeeGee (talk) 14:14, 3 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

TCDD

Hi Central Data Bank. Can you please let me know your reasoning for converting the disambiguation page at TCDD into a redirect? Clearly there are main two subjects that each use that abbreviation. Looking at Google results, it seems clear that neither is used significantly more often than the other, and maybe even the chemical is more prevalent than the railway. Having it as a redirect doesn't help because there are no incoming links to direct anyway. Under these circumstances consensus is that a disambiguation page is more appropriate. -- Ed (Edgar181) 20:46, 19 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Aliağa

Hi! I notice that you have reverted the article name "Aliağa railway station" back to "Aliağa (IZBAN)". Maybe the correct name should be "Aliağa Terminal" or better "Aliağa Railway Terminal", in order not to be confused with "Petkim Aliağa Terminal". However, I can hardly understand why it should have the suffix (IZBAN). Is there any other railway station in Aliağa, which is serving apart from IZBAN? Cheers. CeeGee (talk) 15:34, 13 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

İzmir Metro stations

Bölge

You don't seem to like the style I created. You removed the paramater from the Infobox without an edit summary. Why is that? The only difference from the default is that the header replicates that of the station signs; white text on a blue background. Could you tell me what is wrong with this? Sw2nd (talk) 15:47, 6 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

No no, I love what you did but with that style the name of the stations do not appear that's why I changed it, but I really do appreciate what you did with the boxes. (Central Data Bank (talk))

Don't you see the name here? Sw2nd (talk) 18:04, 6 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
No I don't... (Central Data Bank (talk))
That is unusual. What do you see? Can you see the Infobox header on another example at Marconiplein (Rotterdam Metro). Sw2nd (talk) 22:34, 7 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I tried to lighten the photo that the IP removed, but was not successful. You may have better luck with Picasa or some other program. If it can't be lightened I tend to agree that it should remain. I've actually had some problems with this same IP, and the user account that he has acknowledged, "Legendary Ranger"), of a similar character, regarding generally tendentious editing. ScottyBerg (talk) 19:34, 7 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

  • I put took that picture to make it blend in with the light behind the Manhattan skyline on purpose. I put it up as a different type of photo in the gallery. I don't know why he has to remove it so suddenly. But anyway thanks again. (Central Data Bank (talk))

Keep it up

Dear Centraldatabank,

Glad to type to you. Please maintain your great effort for BJK current season. I'd like to improve the BJK related articles, especially, the history section of the main article, systematically. If you are interested in, please let me know. I'm open for any opinion. Btw, I'm from Izmir! Best regards, Umi1903 (talk) 19:12, 14 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

You've added that East Germany was a satellite state that I earlier added but it was removed.

There is a debate on whether East Germany was or was not a satellite state on the East Germany article's talk page. We need to discuss this as it is under dispute. I agree that it was a satellite state and such claims are widely backed up by scholarly sources. Please discuss the changes you wish to be made to the article in the talk section of the East Germany article.--R-41 (talk) 20:02, 8 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Karesi Ekspresi

Ben zaten yakinda TCDD nin butun trenleri gosteren kolaj foto yapacagim o zamana kadar Karesi yi lutfen degistirmeyin yoksa sizi engellemek zorunda kalacagim. (Central Data Bank (talk))
  • Bunun AKP ile ne alakasi var kardesim? Benim siyasi goruslerim onemli degil burda. Ustelik tren bile gozukmuyor o fotoda. Daha duzgun bir tane bul ozaman degistirmem. Ve senin Izmire ne dusmanligin var ki? CHP'ye mi karsisin? (Central Data Bank (talk))

Your request for adminship

Hi Central Data Bank,

Thank you for requesting to become an administrator on Wikipedia. Based on your current edit count and edit history, it is extremely unlikely that your request will be successful. You've also not quite filled in the RfA template correctly. While you have every right to carry on with the RfA, I'd strongly recommend withdrawing and reapplying when you have more edits.

If you've got any questions about adminship, the RfA process or anything else, feel free to ask me or other active admins. Thanks again, and good luck. —Tom Morris (talk) 14:57, 8 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. I see you have withdrawn your RfA by reverting its transclusion, so I have closed it for you at Wikipedia:Requests for adminship/Central Data Bank. Your work here is clearly appreciated, and I hope you won't be discouraged by this first experience of RfA. If you follow the advice given, I see no reason why you should not have a successful run some time in the future. -- Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 17:35, 8 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

TCDD collage in the infobox

I think making a collage for the 4 main services of the TCDD was a good idea, but the images are kinda ugly (can you take better photos when possible, please?) 88.251.65.167 (talk) 01:02, 16 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

  • DO you have any self-respect? Ugly? Really? Well, no offense, but the photo of the high-speed train was much better than the one that you changed. I don't want another edit-war to start, it's ridiculous and what the hell do you have against the 22series? They are the pride of TCDD. And by the way for the new collage, you used my images again so who are you disrespecting here? If they're so ugly go take some better ones yourself.
The "front bumper" of the Mainline train in your first collage looks dirty and worn-out (the train looks külüstür). The "background scenery" in the High-speed train image looks like a desert (resembles the desert areas of Jordan and Palestine.) While there are "cleaner" images available in Wikimedia Commons, it's better to use them (which was exactly what I did.) Resim seçimi konusunda maksimum seviyede "titiz" davranılması taraftarıyım, özellikle de pek çok insan Türkiye'yi "develerin dolaştığı bir Arap (çöl) ülkesi" sanıyorken. Turkish War of Independence

Hi. I have seen you are quite involved in the said article and have reverted some edition by me. I would like to ask you, "Does it look normal to you to write TBMM against Greece as warring sides?" If you are not intending to write a special article on TBMM Hükümeti it looks quite weird. It should be Turkey against Greece. On the other hand, why is the reference upto 1923 to the Kuvay-i Milliye period? Firstly, what about the regular army? Secondly, the warfare finished after the recovery of Izmir on 9 September 1922. (Should I remind you when the Ottoman State ceased to exist?) Thirdly, what is the war/combat that has been fought in Thrace? Other than local uprisings against the central government and the occupying powers and their local collaborators, the war was practically only against the invading Greek army. Am I wrong? Please begin editing by replacing the word TBMM with Turkey. If not, write an article about the TBMM Government; but still it would not be a "country" to name it as one of the warring parties while the other is a country. All the best. --E4024 (talk) 16:52, 25 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Central Data Bank. You have new messages at Talk:Bombardment of Samsun.

== TBMM + other issues ==

Hello, as a response to your earlier address, the Republic of Turkey wasn't formed until 1923, (29 October to be exact). Therefore the governmental body commanding nationalist forces in the war was the Turkish Grand National Assembly (Turkiye Buyuk Millet Meclisi). There was no such country as the Republic of Turkey until 1923, therefore it wouldn't be wise to place a country that doesn't exist in the belligerents. The Kuva-yi Milliye was a guerrilla organization that attacked invading forces throughout the war. The Kuva-yi Milliye operated on it's own from 1919-20 and under the command of TBMM from 1920-23. (Remember the war wasn't over until the treaty was signed in 1923). The regular army did the heavy lifting while Kuva-yi Milliye supported them by destroying supply lines or harassing the enemy etc... As for Thrace I don't know what you're talking about for I didn't edit something like that. If I did, please show me. Regards (Central Data Bank (talk))

CDB, I did not say Rep of Turkey, I said (and indeed edited) Turkey. This looks absurd to me, BTW, look how many articles will you find refering "Turkey" in the same period. It is not a question of States but Governments. (Ankara Hük.) This is why I said "then write the TBMM Hükümeti article". (You see TBMM and TBMM Hükümeti are not the same thing, just like Rep of T and T. T has a use of one millennium.) Trakya referansi ise genel bir referansti: As you are editing the article and do not touch there that means you accept it, or not? Benim kafam biraz na to kafa na to mermeraki gibi düz(gün) calisir... Cordial selamlar. --E4024 (talk) 20:30, 26 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

That is very nice that you wrote your thesis on this topic, but that doesn't give your argument validity. Cheers (Central Data Bank (talk))

I was almost losing my hopes but now I see that you discovered the Turkish Provisional Government, article that you yourself initiated. So I hope just like in "Occupation of Izmir" in other articles about the same period of history you are going to replace TBMM with this (vekil) Government that came from inside the TBMM. (It really looks awkward to show our parliament as a "warring, belligerent party".) All the best. --E4024 (talk) 19:59, 23 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

CNR map needs update

Just happened to see it today because of someone's comment on its talkpage got my attention on it; it doesn't show the Dease Lake Extension of the old BCR line, which currently is running, I think, or usable anyway, as far as Mosque, British Columbia even though the rail grade was long ago completed as far as Dease Lake. From there current talk is that it will be extended via Atlin or Teslin and Whitehorse/Dawson to Fairbanks, not sure if the plans are in place enough to show that stretch as a dotted line; but from Fort St. James I think or somewhere around there, the Dease Lake Extension is now part of CN. Coming to you because you made this map.Skookum1 (talk) 09:28, 19 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I'll look in to it in a few days. Thanks for letting me know. Cheers. (Central Data Bank (talk))

Name change request!

Hi,

I see, that you have changed the name of the article Izmir Offensive to Great Smyrna Offensive. Unfortunately the new name is also not correct. As mentioned on the talk page, the name of the article should be 'Turkish Great Offensive 1922', because it has the most results on google related to this engagement. Have a nice day! 201.161.198.214 (talk) 16:04, 3 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

  • You do have a point, however the term "Great Offensive" (Buyuk Taaruz) is not only related to the Turkish one. The Great Smyrna Offensive would be the best translation of Buyuk Taaruz into English. Thanks for your concern. Cheers! (Central Data Bank (talk))

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Stockerau, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Reichenau (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed that your username, "Central Data Bank", may not meet Wikipedia's username policy because it implies likelihood of shared usage. Wikipedia's username policy is that a user should use only one account in most cases and that must not be shared between more than one individual. Wikipedia accounts that imply likelihood of shared usage are also not permitted. If you believe that your username does not violate our policy, please leave a note here explaining why. As an alternative, you may ask for a change of username, or you may simply create a new account for editing. Thank you. Anupmehra -Let's talk! 23:00, 16 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

  • Hi, I have been using Wikipedia for 8 years now with the same name. Recently I wasn't able to access my account because I had the wrong password in my memory. So I created User:Central Data Bank 2. I have regained access to this account (as I finally remembered the correct password) and now have no use for the other one. I can change the name or delete my other account if necessary but I don't understand why I must change the name of this one after 8 years. Thanks. (Central Data Bank (talk) 23:05, 16 January 2015 (UTC))[reply]
Hello Central Data Bank, and thank you for your contributions. You may abandon your other account as there is no "deletion" feature on accounts due to technical inabilities and copyright reasons. I'm sorry that it has come to you now, but in last five years quite a few things including Wikipedia's policy and guidelines have been changed a bit. Wikipedia's Username policy doesn't allow usernames that imply likelihood of shared usage and/or are simply names of a company, group, organization, school, band, firm, etc. I see that you have made thousands of edits on here, therefore I'd advise you to request username change to something that identifies an individual to comply with Username policy (if you create another account, you'll lost your personalized settings and contributions log and everything associated with this account). If you work for "Central Data Bank" and want yourself to affiliate with it on Wikipedia, you may choose a username such as, "Name At Central Data Bank", that way it will represent an individual working for the entity not the entity itself. I hope it does help. Anupmehra -Let's talk! 23:23, 16 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Route diagram templates

Hi, I noticed that you added {{Konya Blue Train}} to a tracking category. ({{BSsplit}} shouldn't have br tags inside it.)

You may want to create new diagrams using {{Routemap}}, as the {{BS-table}}/{{Railway line header}} combination has been deprecated for some years; and you can use the parameter |inline=yes in Routemap (and use the template directly) instead of using {{Infobox RDT}}. In addition, it's better to use {{BScvt}} instead of {{Convert}} inside RDTs (since it takes up less horizontal space). Invitation for creating KAZAKHSTAN RAILROAD ARTICLES

Hello there, I'm very impressed by your work and effort in creating articles for railroad purposes. I'd like for you to participation collaboration for creating railroad related articles for Kazakhstan. I am descendant of person who was one of the main people that stared Kazakhstan railroad program. His name was Mukhamedzhan Tynyshpaev. I recommend you to read about my great great grandfather. As a descendant of the "father of the Kazakhstan Railroad" I'd like for you to help me out in creating Kazakhstan's railroad lines, stations articles. My great great grandfather is well known person that many people in Kazakhstan know him by history books.

Here are my examples of what articles I created for you to read to get the information on Kazakhstan Railway information:

I believe my country and my great great grandfather created something unbelievable for our own rare Kazakh people. Kazakh railroads span all over the steppe terrain the country. Many unknowingly people would look and think of boring railroad with steppe and snowy mountains in background but in reality there's very unforgettable and has unique most interesting story behind it. Kazakhstan was an empty nomadic place with no railroads. But with my great great grandfather, who transformed into industrial transportation place and created a full history and story on Kazakhstan's railroads. He might've created and done his job by expanding the railroads, however there is a needed expansion for people to learn about him by me inviting you to help me creating more articles and information on railroads. I hope you will help me do my great great grandfathers job, to make his legacy even more known not only for Kazakhs but for the whole world. — Preceding unsigned comment added by ShadowNinja1080 (talkcontribs) 03:28, 31 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

  • Hi! I would love to help you out. As a railfan, it would be my pleasure to expand pages regarding railroads for any country. However, I don't know a lot about the Kazakh railways. If you could provide me with some references, I will be sure to contribute! I will also look around to see what I can find.

(Central Data Bank (talk) 11:54, 31 October 2016 (UTC))[reply]

    • What I can provide you if the country Kazakhstan, I see your interested in Turkey. Kazakh language is nearly identical to the Turkish language. It also where Turks originated from Central Asia. It's like comparing United States to United Kingdom. Turkey is like United States and Kazakhstan is like United Kingdom. Both have same close identical language, and lots of modern Turkish people are descendants from Central Asia where Kazakhstan is. Like Americans who majority of English descents. I think you should be interested as Kazakhstan as you are with Turkey. Here's good reference for the railroad company. Hi, I've just patrolled an article you created. Having had a look through some of your previous created articles it seems to me that you should apply for the Autopatrolled permission. It would help reduce the backlog at New Page Patrol if articles as good as the ones you've been creating weren't on the list. Regards, Cabayi (talk) 09:15, 2 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Talk pages on articles

Hi, I swa you ask for autopatrol. Good job with articles. With that said, I recommend creating a talk page on the articles you create, especially with the text {{WikiProject Turkey}} and {{WikiProject Transportation}} . Anyone in those projects will see the new creations and possibly come and help on it. Pyrusca (talk) 15:39, 2 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Autopatrolled granted

Hi Central Data Bank, I just wanted to let you know that I have added the "autopatrolled" permission to your account, as you have created numerous, valid articles. This feature will have no effect on your editing, and is simply intended to reduce the workload on new page patrollers. For more information on the patroller right, see Wikipedia:Autopatrolled. PLease ensure that the related project banners are added to the article talk pages. Feel free to leave me a message if you have any questions. Happy editing! State Railways and Seaports Administration

Hi, Central Data Bank, State Railways and Seaports Administration is especially interesting for me because of personal reasons. As far as I know, this administration continued well after 1929 with in the Bayındırlık Bakanlığı. Later in 1970s it merged with the administration of Airports to form DLH in the Ministry of Transportation. (As you can see these were on the construction end and not in the operation end) Nedim Ardoğa (talk) 07:56, 27 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

  • I wrote the article from the documents I could gather on the subject. If you have any digital documents regarding the topic or the history of the Turkish railways that focus on certain special topics, I would gladly read them and contribute further on Wikipedia. I will do more research into this matter and try to get as much information as I can and then add to the article. Unfortunately I do not live in Turkey, therefore I can only further my collection of TCDD related documents when I visit. I aim to greatly expand articles on Turkish railways and any help is greatly appreciated! Best regards (Central Data Bank (talk) 12:51, 27 March 2017 (UTC))[reply]

List of bridges

Thanks for your contribution to List of bridges in Turkey. But the list tends to be too long. How about splitting the article by creating List of Bridges in Turkey with respect to length (or maybe a more appropriate title) ?

I agree. I'll create a new page for that purpose. Also, if you don't mind, I will edit the List of bridges page to show bridges by their respective regions or provinces. It would make it easier finding a bridge on the list. What do you think? (Central Data Bank (talk) 12:20, 15 August 2017 (UTC))[reply]
Do you mean the current aricle ? The provinces are already shown in the current article along with a phote and the historical term. Nedim Ardoğa (talk) 12:26, 15 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I meant sort them according to their region for example in the Marmara Region or Southeastern Anatolia region. This way we can even show bridges that dont have their respective wikipedia article. (Central Data Bank (talk) 12:31, 15 August 2017 (UTC))[reply]
We can add red link bridges. But for geographicak regions; I don't think that's a good idea for the geographical regions and the provencial borders don't overlap and there are uncertainities in such provinces as Bilecik, Muğla, Kahramanmaraş etc. Nedim Ardoğa (talk) 14:32, 15 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thankyou for your participation in the challenge series or/and contests. In November The Women in Red World Contest is being held to try to produce new articles for as many countries worldwide and occupations as possible. There will be over $4000 in prizes to win, including Amazon vouchers and paid subscriptions. If this would appeal to you and you think you'd be interested in contributing new articles on women during this month for your region or wherever please sign up in the participants section. The articles done may also count towards the ongoing challenge. If you're not interested in prize money yourself but are willing to participate and raise money to buy books about women for others to use, this is also fine. Help would also be appreciated in drawing up the lists of missing articles. If you think of any missing articles please add them to the sub lists by continent at Missing articles. Thankyou, and if taking part, good luck!♦ Dr. Blofeld 16:29, 4 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
