A tag has been placed on Mozart Popart requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a musical recording which does not indicate why its subject is important or significant, and where the artist's article has never existed, has been deleted or is eligible for deletion itself. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for music.

Hello, Dontlike123. I wanted to let you know that I’m proposing an article that you started, Armor Frey, for deletion because I don't think it meets our criteria for inclusion. If you don't want the article deleted:

  1. edit the page
  2. remove the text that looks like this: {{proposed deletion/dated...}}
  3. save the page

Also, be sure to explain why you think the article should be kept in your edit summary or on the article's talk page. If you don't do so, it may be deleted later anyway.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. ColonelHenry (talk) 05:39, 28 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I've USERFIED this draft for you (you there is a handy box to help you create and maintain drafts on User:Dontlike123/sandbox and you will find a link to this draft inside) and tagged it as an {{Userspace draft}}. Per NOTWEBHOST and similar you will have to continue to work on it or it will eventually get deleted. Other pages of interest you should read about this include 42, GNG, BLP, and if you fail to keep working on it, someone will {{subst:Submit}} it for you and it will get deleted under CSD:G13 six months later. I think I've given you all of the tools you need for this project of yours... Don't be afraid to put {{Help me}} on this talk page with a clear question, leave a message on my talk page, or ask for help over at The teahouse (you have an invite just above)... The article Summer of My Life has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

An unreleased single? No other reasons why this would be notable? Not listed at e.g. Allmusic, and the two youtube links don't work as well (probably copyvios anyway). Fails WP:NOTABILITY completely.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Your recent uploads

[edit]

Hello Dontlike123, you recently uploaded a couple of screenshots from copyrighted TV programs. While you did fill out the fair use rationales, you seem to have missed a crucial point: Why are no free equivalents available? Particularly for living persons the default assumption is that a freely licensed image could be found or taken. Thus non-free images of living persons almost never are acceptable (not even Kim Jong Un was considered enough of a recluse that we couldn't expect a freely licensed image to exist). The rest of your fair use rationales also is far too short; in particular you don't even identify the TV program you took the images from. Please take another look at the non-free content criteria and don't upload non-free images of living persons. Huon (talk) 02:52, 2 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

No you didn't. For example, "n.a." is not a valid explanation why a freely licensed image cannot be found instead. I also begin to doubt that you really took all those images with your own camera in 2010. Huon (talk) 22:00, 2 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

i am not trying to copyright images from sites

Image authorship?

[edit]

As the author or copyright holder of the images you uploaded you claimed "Jason Mills" for rather unrelated images, "Jason Jills", "Jill Mill", and other variations along the same lines for a couple of the now-deleted images, "Jason Sill", "Jason Phills", "Jason Wills" and so on. That seems quite a coincidence unless you chose the pictures to upload by the photographer's name. Can you please provide some evidence that those people indeed hold the copyright to the images you uploaded? Huon (talk) 19:34, 3 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

how am i gonna really do that? people have differant names i dont like when you delete those picture in the first place please i am tryng to male pages look better

To be blunt, to me this looks as if you made up that information and faked the "fair use" claims in an attempt to make the images look superficially acceptable. That obviously won't do. Huon (talk) 20:27, 3 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

i was just trying to e better at wiki i was only not being blunt i was always getting annoyed for this

Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously because it has legal implications. Thus it is far better not to have an image than to have a non-free one for which we cannot claim fair use. And "I think we need an image and couldn't find anything better" is not by itself a valid fair use rationale. For example, does a baby photo really improve our readers' understanding of Diane Disney Miller? No. Is it likely that a freely licened image of her exists or could be produced? Yes. Thus we should not have a non-free baby photo of her. If you were not aware of Wikipedia's stance, now would be a good time to clean up the remaining images' fair use rationales, to provide more information on where exactly you got those images, and to more clearly explain why they cannot be replaced by free images, and why they're needed in the first place. Huon (talk) 23:21, 3 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

well i like it that way its my opinion and i would like how to become the one wh claims the pcture or gives soeone else credit for someone else work please help me

I'm sorry, but I don't understand the question. "Become the one who claims the picture"? Image copyright is owned, usually by the photographer who took the original image. When you take a photo of a copyrighted work, be it a photo or a TV program, the original copyright holder still owns the copyright. We cannot claim the picture, we can only claim that our use of that image is covered by the legal concept of fair use. If we want to do so, we have to credit the original copyright holder (and while necessary, that is not sufficient). Do you know who owns the copyrights for the images you uploaded? Do you remember where, exactly, you got them from? Huon (talk) 00:50, 4 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

yes right i was not stopping to steal anyones picture i dont claim it at all i was just trying to use it for eduction purposes

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for violating copyright policy by copying text or images into Wikipedia from another source without verifying permission. You have been previously warned that this is against policy, but have persisted.

Please take this opportunity to be sure you understand our copyright policy and our policies regarding how to use non-free content. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding the following text below this notice: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}. However, you should read the guide to appealing blocks first.  Huon (talk) 23:27, 4 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I have tried my best to explain why we take copyright seriously. It's pretty obvious you have blatantly lied in your fair use rationales and in the claims at the now-deleted File:Benskywalker2345t.jpg. That image was a still from Star Wars, for which the copyright rests with Lucasfilm. Micheal Stearn, on whose website you supposedly found that image (and to whose website you did not provide a link), cannot release that image into the public domain (if he exists in the first place). This kind of behaviour is not acceptable and puts Wikipedia at risk for copyright claims. Huon (talk) 23:35, 4 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

i tried my best also i wanted to get out there was no way of really showing any images copyright teach me how to get out of tis with no problems even better please unblock me from this and help me step by step to get better at this i beg of you

There was no way of really showing any image's copyright? Hardly. I had no trouble at all to determine that File:Benskywalker2345t.jpg is a still from Star Wars, copyrighted by Lucasfilm and not usable on Wikipedia. I also had very little trouble to track down copyright information for File:KennethColley2007.jpg. Unfortunately what I found simply is not compatible with what you claimed. So the first step to getting unblocked: Do not lie. By now I'm pretty sure that every single one of your uploaded images was accompanied by information that was simply made up. Do you really need me to tell you that's not acceptable?
How about instead of me telling you something (which you don't really seem to read anyway), you tell me something instead? Let's discuss File:Edmund McIlhenny.gif in some detail. When you uploaded it, you provided this information. What of that information is correct? For how much of that information can you provide evidence? Where, exactly, did you find that image? Who is John Newman, and what is his relation to the image? Why did you think that image is appropriate for Wikipedia? Please provide links where applicable. Huon (talk) 20:08, 5 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

how do you even know if i made a mistake or a error

You claimed you made an image "fair and legal" while providing a rationale of "n.a." on why no free equivalent could be produced. That by itself would be an error on your part. Given the literally incredible parade of Jasons who are supposed to hold the copyrights to the images you uploaded (Mills, Jills, Phills, Sill, Wills - seriously?) I'm pretty sure you didn't just make error but deliberately provided incorrect information. Of course you could easily prove me wrong by providing evidence for your claims. Can you? And can you please answer my questions about File:Edmund McIlhenny.gif? Huon (talk) 22:27, 5 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

Multiple editors have attempted to explain the copyright policy to you, and you have innumerable links to it higher on your talkpage. If you haven't got the gist by now, I very much doubt you're going to. The fact that you appear to have faked authorship for some of the images that you have illegally uploaded is extremely concerning. Frankly, you are not going to be unblocked unless you can demonstrate (not claim) a clear knowledge of copyright and how it applies on Wikipedia - the above request doesn't even come close to doing so. how can i prove first if i had read but have no vidoee of adding

You can start by answering questions about your past actions. The next step would be explaining to us what the problems with your past edits were, and how you're going to avoid similar problems in the future. This will take more than one line of text. Huon (talk) 16:27, 8 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

n the past i didnt really know about how to do a wiki edit or evne how to start a proper page second the problems were that i didnt really know how to complete a page, i didnt know how to post a picture without copyrights errors and thirdly we can avid this if you can please maybe even not really block me ever again and showing me how to really post up pictures in a wiki page

This is not an answer to the questions I asked, nor does it show any understanding of Wikipedia's copyright policy. Let me repeat the questions: When you uploaded File:Edmund McIlhenny.gif, you provided this information. What of that information is correct? For how much of that information can you provide evidence? Where, exactly, did you find that image? Who is John Newman, and what is his relation to the image? Why did you think that image is appropriate for Wikipedia? Please provide links where applicable. Huon (talk) 17:07, 8 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

i made a bad mistake when i uploaded that, i guess not much is really trustful at all i was trying to write down the first things, there is not really a link for evidence, john Newman is a made up character i though i saw, i though he was the owner, it s appropriate because the image looks good in the wiki article, i dont have links ever

You made up John Newman and thought he was the owner? Sorry, that does not make any sense. The basic lesson here is: Don't make up stuff on Wikipedia - not content, not copyright claims.
Regarding the appropriateness, Wikipedia has more standards than just "looks good". By default Wikipedia requires images to be released under a free licence that allows everybody to re-use and modify them for any purpose. However, by default images are copyrighted with all rights reserved. We can claim fair use in some highly regulated contexts given by the non-free content criteria; these fair use claims rely on truthful information. Deliberately making up entries will leave Wikipedia at risk of copyright lawsuits. We're better off without an image than with one that gets us sued. If you cannot provide evidence that the images you want to upload are okay copyright-wise, do not upload them. Huon (talk) 18:10, 8 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

so what happands now? that did make sense i though he was even a owner, i know you will get sued but is there any way of legally copying and pasting from google images

I have linked to the relevant concepts and policies above. From those you should yourself be able to determine if images found via Google Images can legally be added to Wikipedia. I do not think you can do so reliably, and given your past falsifications I'd say it's likely that, if unblocked, you would continue right where you left off and add further images with incorrect copyright claims and faked or otherwise insufficient fair use rationales to Wikipedia. We cannot risk that. Huon (talk) 20:54, 8 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I promise i can do better now can you please unblock me so that i can find steps to do it

You can find all the information about copyright law and policy on Wikpipedia without making a single edit, so the argument that you need to be unblocked in order to do so is invalid. Start by reading the pages in the list on the right → Yunshui  19:33, 9 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

what else can i do to get unblocked

  • Are you serious? If so, answer the following questions using reasonably proper formatting and sign your answer (using four tildes like ~~~~).
  1. When you uploaded File:Edmund McIlhenny.gif, you provided this information. What of that information is correct?
  2. For how much of that information can you provide evidence?
  3. Where, exactly, did you find that image?
  4. Why did you think that image is appropriate for Wikipedia?
  5. What does the image use policy say in a nutshell?
  6. What exactly are Copyrights?
Once you can answer those questions, you should be able to answer this next set which will be:
  1. What do you think you did wrong that got you blocked from editing?
  2. What would you do differently now that you know what the laws are pertaining to this?
  3. What would you like to be able to do if you become unblocked?
Give some examples of edits that you would make to articles.
Give some examples of files that you would like to upload, and what the rationale is that would allow them to be here.
  4. What net positive do you have to offer Wikipedia?
  5. If you were unblocked based on your responses here, and you lied to us in your answers, what would happen to your ability to edit on Wikipedia?
There are a lot of questions here that you need to research and answer, and I can say it is probably fairly safe to assume that until you do make an understandable attempt to answer them, that no-one else is going to respond to your pleas to be unblocked and continuation of meaningless dribble will likely result in your talk page access being removed. As far as my interest in this goes, I'm the one that created your account in the first place, and it annoys me when I create an account for someone and they don't want to follow the rules and laws. — {{U|Technical 13}} (tec) 21:14, 12 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Firstly, thanks for admitting that you faked the entire fair use rationale. Secondly, the answers to the last two questions are utterly insufficient and show no understanding of either copyright or Wikipedia's policy on the use of images. You may want to amend them; otherwise I'll have to conclude that you cannot follow either Wikipedia's policy or the copyright laws, and that you cannot be unblocked. He is the second one He had a lot to say, but his answer, in a nutshell, was no that what they say i the nutshell

Here is the second one abut the copyright Contributors who repeatedly post copyrighted material despite appropriate warnings may be blocked from editing by any administrator to prevent further problems.

Enough already. Either you don't have the English language skills or fundamental competence to understand what is being asked of you, or you're just trolling to waste people's time here. Whichever it is, nothing is being achieved by allowing you to continue posting badly formatted gibberish here. I have revoked your talkpage access; when you have read and understood the policies and constructed a correctly formatted, GAB-compliant unblock request, you can email it to UTRS or BASC and someone might turn your talkpage back on so you can post it. At present, though, I see no sign whatsoever that you are ready to edit Wikipedia. We're done here. Yunshui  08:41, 14 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

File permission problem with File:KennethColley2007.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:KennethColley2007.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 10:28, 4 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
