Did the great Senator Ted Stevens pass away on the 9th or 10th?
I noticed you moved my comment about Ted Stevens’s crash occurring on the 9th to a comment. Since the crash occurred on that date, and until it is reported that he died instantly or within 4 hours, should his citation be moved to the 10th with the visible tag of "Death announced on this date"? There is no announcement at this time whether he died on the 9th or the 10th, and this change would be to comply with Wiki guidelines.Gezellig (talk) 22:22, 10 August 2010 (UTC)

Two judges per week.
Greetings! At Wikipedia:WikiProject United States courts and judges, we have bot-created thousands of articles on United States federal judges. Of those 1,272 currently still have their bot-made cleanup tag. If just a dozen editors will each commit to cleaning up just two of those articles every week, we will conquer the entire list within the year. Most of the articles are quick and easy to clean up, requiring only a few minor adjustments of bot-created awkward wording. Please consider joining this effort, and committing to cleaning up two judges per week for the year. Cheers! bd2412 T 03:19, 20 August 2010 (UTC)

This is the only warning you will receive regarding your disruptive comments.
The next time you make a personal attack as you did at Talk:Jeannette Rankin, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Comment on content, not on other contributors or people. You know full well this was an attack, you even dare the attacked user to report you. That's worth an "only warning" in my book. Choyoołʼįįhí:Seb az86556 > haneʼ 03:12, 27 August 2010 (UTC)

Speedy deletion of Pro-Ject
Dear Y, I can' understand why you deleted the page I initiated. I hanged-on its speedy deletion and commented on its talk page about that as per the guidelines, and had started refining its content with references to support my claim that Pro-ject is a notable phonograph manufacturer, complying with the criteria from [2]. I provided a link to the associated page on [www.vinylengine.com] which is an independent and very relevant source of information regarding audio HiFi equipment. I was compiling together further information, but you acted on the speedy deletion too fast for me to complete that (it was night time for me :-/) Would it be possible for an admin with relevant knowledge of this field (stereophile / audiophile) to comment? Last, I could understand if your rationale for deletion was a bad formatting of mine (I am a newbie with editing/creating...I try to do my best with tutorial and guidelines reading though), but this wouldn't qualify then for speedy deletion, would it? --MarmotteNZ (talk) 23:37, 15 September 2010 (UTC)
- Dear Marmotte, please refer to Wikipedia:Notability (organizations and companies) for an understanding of what qualifies as a notable company. Your article was deleted because it did not contain an assertion of notability within that framework. -- Y not? 02:34, 16 September 2010 (UTC)
- Dear Y, please don't refer me back to the guideline I quoted myself in my message above (and which I considered carefully before posting). As I wrote, first my article contained A/ a brief personal rationale for why Pro-ject is a notable manufacturer and B/ a reference to Vinylengine website which complies as a independent and reliable secondary source. Second, as I wrote in the talk page (as per the guideline), C/ I was compiling together further references and explanations to support the notability of this manufacturer (other HiFi review websites and sales volumes information). So A, B and C sound to me plenty enough "assertion of notability within that framework" and evidences that I was in good faith, complying with this policy as much as I could and working towards fixing the bits that weren't complying. But you didn't even left me the opportunity of a few hours of sleep (as I wrote again...it was night for me here in Oz) before deleting the whole thing with no chance for me to reply!! I have a job and a family, and time permitting I try to share a bit of my knowledge on WP...This can involve a one day lag to address questions and concerns raised by fellows contributors and admins, delay which I consider quite reasonable for an issue of that order (i.e. 'whether a turntable manufacturer notable enough to deserve a WP page?'), the more so my writing was very neutral and did not contain any advert-like claims! To be honest seeing my goo faith efforts swept away like this would tend to discourage me contributing further to WP.--MarmotteNZ (talk) 01:00, 17 September 2010 (UTC)
- I admit that I didn't read your first comment carefully enough. I stand by my decision. Please feel free to contest it at WP:DRV. -- Y ::not? 02:21, 17 September 2010 (UTC)

International Krav Maga Federation
Hi, If possible I would like to recreate an article for the subject International Krav Maga Federation which has been deleted by you in 2007. Do you still remember why it was deleted or what was wrong with it so I won't make the same mistakes.
Thank you very much! --Der rikkk (talk) 10:52, 9 January 2011 (UTC)
- I just looked at the deleted revisions for you. The article that was deleted in '07 was not an article - it was essentially an advertisement for the Federation with a bunch of links. This encyclopedia does not allow organizations to use it for promotional purposes. I have no idea if the Federation is notable or whether there exist multiple reliable secondary sources from which a meaningful article can be written, but if the answer to both is yes, feel free to write an article about it, you don't need anyone's permission. -- Y not? 18:31, 10 January 2011 (UTC)

Recreating Wizard staff
Hi, I want to recreate this article which you deleted via WP:PROD. I have an early draft in my userspace at User:Manycowsmoo/draft article on wizard staff, which I am continuing to refine. I have included several third-party sources which cover the subject, so I think it meets WP:N. I'm not really sure why it was deleted originally, but hopefully my draft corrects the issue. I just wanted to consult with you before posting it because it said you were the closing administrator. Thanks, Manycowsmoo (talk) 22:54, 15 February 2011 (UTC)
- Your article is much nicer than the one deleted in 2007. By all means, put it up. You should back up or delete more of the claims you are making in your draft, though. See WP:NOR. -- Y not? 23:23, 15 February 2011 (UTC)
On the deletion of the Lorenzo Iorio article
I will recreate the page in a way that no problem will arise with the copyright of SYREXE, OK? Concerning the previous deletion of the page, please notice that my page had likely nothing to do with the one which was canceled in 2009, according to what it could be guessed from the deletion discussion. Michoball (talk) 23:54, 15 February 2011 (UTC)
In reply to your message about the notability of Lorenzo Iorio, etc.
Please notice that, actually, I already contacted that administrator explaining why I want to make a new page about L. Iorio. He did not say "no". Simply, he asked me if I had something to do with a past sockpuppetry issue, which is not the case. Please, notice also that the situation is, now, substantially changed from a scientific point of view, as you may notice by reading all the documentation. In particular, one of the arguments against the page for L. Iorio was based on his h-index at that times. Now, as you may see, it notably increased and is now larger than, or of the same order of magnitude of, that of other scientists active in the same field having a page here. Michoball (talk) 00:30, 16 February 2011 (UTC)
- Right. These are great arguments to be raised at WP:DRV. -- Y not? 00:32, 16 February 2011 (UTC)
- OK. Moreover, as I remarked to the other administrator, a very likely (hidden) issue in the deletion discussion was that L. Iorio has a lingering controversy with another Italian scientist active in the same field. Given the anonymity here, that surely had its own influence behind the scenes. Anyway, about your suggestion about the action to do, I'm not familiar with all such stuff, here. Could you, please, help me in such a WP:DRV? Thanks. Michoball (talk) 00:42, 16 February 2011 (UTC)
- Just follow the instructions -- Y not? 00:45, 16 February 2011 (UTC)
- Ok, I've rewrote it as suggested by you. Please, take a look and send me your comments. Thank you Michoball (talk) 21:08, 17 February 2011 (UTC)

Deletion review for Lorenzo Iorio
An editor has asked for a deletion review of Lorenzo Iorio. Because you closed the deletion discussion for this page, speedily deleted it, or otherwise were interested in the page, you might want to participate in the deletion review. Michoball (talk) 09:11, 16 February 2011 (UTC)
Please, Y, help me with the otehr admin!
Y, please come and read what that admin Jay writes!! It is totally absurd! He refures to read what I wrote!! He ask me to..demonstrate that Iorio was born in 1971 and that he lives in Bari!!!! He did not read anything about what I wrote about NASA ADS, bibliometry, and so on! He still asks me to prove those information with reliable secondary sources!!!! Michoball (talk) 19:49, 18 February 2011 (UTC)
- Dude, I want nothing further to do with this. The DRV produced an unimaginable amount of writing, I couldn't possibly hope to go through it all. I simply don't have enough time. Good luck. -- Y not? 21:02, 18 February 2011 (UTC)

- Seriously, George. Did you see the DRV? The most unbelievable amount of tl;dr imaginable! I had lunch with Samir (the scope) yesterday - had an absolutely delightful time. Come to NYC - I'll take you out too. -- Y not? 00:26, 20 February 2011 (UTC)

What can I do, now
Hi, Y. You see the situation...What should I do with this guy? Is there some form of higher level of appeal? How is it possible that a purely personal and highly questionable interpretation by an admin abusing his power can have an impact? Please, help, advice or act.
