I've also noticed that we frequently use the term "of the Maldives". I think it should be "of Maldives". For example "The Constitution of Maldives" or "Constitution of Maldives", "The Majlis of Maldives", instead of "Majlis of the Maldives". N3m6 21:00, 10 Jun 2005 (UTC)
If somebody can find out the birthday of Mohamed Amin Didi, it would be helpful N3m6 19:43, 10 Jun 2005 (UTC)
Naming conventions
I've noticed a number of names using apostrophes. It can be easily avoided and usually people don't use them. For example Muhammad Shamsuddeen was written as Muhammad Shamsu'deen. You can avoid the ' by using two d's while romanizing. N3m6 20:09, 10 Jun 2005 (UTC)
- Then we should introduce a naming conventinos for bios, in notice board. Why dont we agree on some standards? --Oblivious 20:12, 10 Jun 2005 (UTC)
- I second what Oblivious said. If only apostrophes are removed, pronunciation would considerably change. ibn zareena 07:46, 7 June 2007 (UTC)
Maldivian Honours System
Does anyone have any information about the Maldivian Honours System, which would be of interest to people from British Commonwealth countries, given the fact that the Maldive Islands is a full member of the British Commonwealth? - (Aidan Work)
Note: It has not been the British Commonwealth since 1949. It is now the Commonwealth of Nations. Hu 07:26, 30 January 2006 (UTC)
Standard naming scheme

DYK
The DYK section featured on the main page is always looking for interesting new and recently expanded stubs from different parts of the world. Please make a suggestion.--Peta 02:05, 10 October 2006 (UTC)
Flora of Maldives
I'm trying to make a list of all Maldivian plants. Hopefully this will help Maldivians to get more information and to know proper English and scientific names of plants that grow in Maldives. Please include [[Category:Flora of Maldives]] in any relevant article you create or come across while browsing. The category could be found here Category:Flora of Maldives. Thanks.
