The archdeacons in the Church of England are senior Anglican clergy who serve under their dioceses' bishops, usually with responsibility for the area's church buildings and pastoral care for clergy.

Resignations and retirements

  1. ^ It has been announced that Trevor Jones is to retire on 31 August 2016.[2] He will be succeeded by Janet Mackenzie "in September".[3]
  2. ^ It has been announced that Reed is to retire on 30 June 2016.[16]
  3. ^ It has been announced that Sullivan is to become Dean of Southwell "later" in 2016.[32]
  4. ^ It has been announced that Potter is to resign on 13 July 2016.[40]
  5. ^ It has been announced that McFarlane is to be consecrated Bishop of Repton on 29 June 2016.[43]
