Ranjit Kumar Das is an Assamese politician from the Indian state of Assam. He is a member of the Assam Legislative Assembly from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). He was elected as Speaker of the Assam Legislative Assembly in 2016, when Sarbananda Sonowal became Chief Minister.[1][2][3][4]

He became a member of the BJP in 1992 and was elected as Member of Legislative Assembly from Sorbhog in Barpeta district in 2011. From 2011 to 2016, he was the deputy leader of the BJP in the Assam Legislative Assembly. He was elected as the Speaker of the Legislative Assembly in June 2016.[5][6][7]
