This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Amirthi Zoological Park, and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://www.vellore.tn.nic.in/amirthi_zoological_park.htm. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details.

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. Photographs of Vellore and Amirthi Zoological Park

[edit]

You could improve the articles about Amirthi Zoological Park and Vellore by taking photographs of these places and uploading them to Wikipedia. I am referring to photographs that you take yourself, not ones by other photographers or taken from other websites. - Eastmain (talkcontribs) 10:35, 18 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for uploading File:VIT Chennai.png. You don't seem to have said where the image came from, who created it, or provided a license tag. We require this information to verify that the image is legally usable on Wikipedia, and because most image licenses require giving credit to the image's creator.

File Copyright problem
File Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading File:VIT Aerial 1.png. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, we also need to know the terms of the license that the copyright holder has published the file under, usually done by adding a licensing tag. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Unsourced and untagged files may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the file will be deleted 48 hours after 00:23, 24 November 2010 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. ww2censor (talk) 00:23, 24 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Amirthi.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. ww2censor (talk) 00:24, 24 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free image File:VIT Aerial.pdf

[edit]
⚠

Thanks for uploading File:VIT Aerial.pdf. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of "file" pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. I'm going to put this discussion back here. I'm watching the page, so I will see when you answer. Remember to sign when you answer (put four"~" and it will get dated and everything).
For photos, the first basic rule is "if you didn't take it, don't post it." Many people new to Wikipedia seem to think it's OK to copy pictures from Web sites. IT IT NOT. I just found one today where the poster said they scanned a map and circled the location of the exhibit they were trying to point out. This is copyright violation, and by current law it does not matter whether or not the original map said is was copyrighted. If you took a picture it and you already posted it somewhere else on the Web, you need to make sure the original has appropriate releases (for instance, if it's on Flikr), or there needs to be an appropriate email sent from the domain. This is a bit more complicated, and I've avoided it by only posting things directly from my camera.
In order to meet guidelines, any photo uploaded to Wikimedia Commons must be released under one of the free licenses. I use one of the "attribute, share and share alike" licenses, which means that anyone can use it and modify it, but must attribute it to me -- a link to the Wikimedia image page is adequate attribution. If you want you can declare it to be in the public domain, which means anyone can do anything they want with it without saying where it came from. If you don't include a license, the image will get tagged by a robot and it usually tells you what action you need to take (though sometimes the instructions aren't as clear as they could be). Just go back to the image and tag it appropriately. If you try to fool the system (i.e., claim that it is yours when it isn't), you can probably get away with it for a while, but eventually someone going over a an article with your uploads is going to also stumble across the original. If this happens to more than a couple of your images, you may end up getting all of your images deleted because it becomes too difficult to tell which are copyright violations and which aren't (I saw a bot going through and doing this to a bunch of images just a few days ago). So, the rule of thumb is, if you have to ask whether it's a copyright violation or not, don't post it. It's just not worth it -- either for you or for Wikipedia.
Let me know if you have specific questions. I thought the upload form on Wikmimedia was pretty clear, but I'm a writer and already deal with copyright issues in my day job. I will be watching here, so just post the question below this paragraph. Donlammers (talk) 21:12, 24 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Nomination of Prestige group for deletion

[edit]

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Prestige group is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Prestige group until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on good quality evidence, and our policies and guidelines.

Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion template from the top of the article. Tinton5 (talk) 03:48, 23 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. When you recently edited Prestige group, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages The Forum and Villas (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Prestige Golfshire, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. DGG ( talk ) 02:50, 5 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Status and Advice

[edit]

OK, as you requested, I did some rewriting, and it might be acceptable. You'll note the changes in style: I removed the capital letters, changing, for example Golf Course to golf course, and I removed the duplication, where the features are given twice over.

The problem that remains is the references. The Decca Herald article is OK. PRwire is not a reliable sources, as they print whatever the developer send them; the article in news.plugged.in is also entirely based on a press release and repeats those phrases. It is not clear what the importance of the awards are. I worded it to match the references.

The article may still be challenged by anybody. If you can find another high quality independent source not based on press releases, it will probably hold; if not, I can't predict the result. DGG ( talk ) 05:54, 5 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Nonfree images on one of your userpages

[edit]

Per the policies on the usage of non-free images on Wikipedia, non-free images are not allowed on pages outside of the article namespace, including userpages. Some images on your user page are copyrighted and unlicensed, so I had to remove them. I substituted a linked list of your nonfree image uploads. I'm sorry if you are upset by my editing your page without your permission, but this is a rule where Wikipedia allows no exceptions. I want to make sure you know that this isn't personal. Hello, I noticed that you recently created a new page, List of Commercial Developments by Prestige Group. First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as you. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page - Prestige Group. Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will continue helping to improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at Prestige Group - you might like to discuss new information at the article's talk page.

If you think that the article you created should remain separate, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions. Roger (talk) 08:35, 18 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Vellore

[edit]

Hi, I am really sorry but I have reverted your contributions at Vellore. It is unfortunate because it is obvious that you went to a lot of trouble in trying to improve the article. I was finding that a lot of the things you had sourced to the Vellore Tourism article in The Hindu were simply not supported by that article. I think the problem is that you are misunderstanding our verifiability policy. For example, you added the article as a citation for the Church of South India section when in fact alis a church in Vellore - it does not support anything else said in the section.

This is a bit tricky for me to explain but if we have a statement saying "Building Y was built in 1858 and is now used as municipal offices" then we need either one source that support both the 1858 statement and the usage statement, or we need a source fol the article verifies is that there r each of those statements if no single source can be found. Does this make sense to you?

I encourage you not to become dis-spirited about my action. You clearly mean well and perhaps just need a little guidance. Feel free to ask me any questions - I am watching this talk page. - Sitush (talk) 05:15, 30 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Brigade Group (Developer) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Proposed deletion of The Forum Value

[edit]

The article The Forum Value has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Not notable enough

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Disputed non-free use rationale for File:VIT Aerial 1.png

[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:VIT Aerial 1.png. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.

If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. —SpacemanSpiff 06:26, 13 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion nomination of Prestige Lakeside Habitat

Hello Sayowais,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Prestige Lakeside Habitat for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly say why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.

Asian 10,000 Challenge invite

[edit]

Hi. The Wikipedia:WikiProject Asia/The 10,000 Challenge has recently started, based on the UK/Ireland Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge and Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The 10,000 Challenge. The idea is not to record every minor edit, but to create a momentum to motivate editors to produce good content improvements and creations and inspire people to work on more countries than they might otherwise work on. There's also the possibility of establishing smaller country or regional challenges for places like South East Asia, Japan/China or India etc, much like Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic). For this to really work we need diversity and exciting content and editors from a broad range of countries regularly contributing. At some stage we hope to run some contests to benefit Asian content, a destubathon perhaps, aimed at reducing the stub count would be a good place to start, based on the current Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The Africa Destubathon which has produced near 200 articles in just three days. If you would like to see this happening for Asia, and see potential in this attracting more interest and editors for the country/countries you work on please sign up and being contributing to the challenge! This is a way we can target every country of Asia, and steadily vastly improve the encyclopedia. We need numbers to make this work so consider signing up as a participant! Thank you. --Ser Amantio di NicolaoChe dicono a Signa?Lo dicono a Signa. 02:32, 21 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
