Speedy deletion nomination of Nemanja Latinović[edit]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Nemanja Latinović requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Basalisk inspect damageberate 01:47, 5 June 2012 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of Miljan Rakić[edit]

Ambox warning yellow.svg

The article Miljan Rakić has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, all newly created biographies of living persons must have at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. Proposed deletion of Nenad Gavrić[edit]

Ambox warning yellow.svg

The article Nenad Gavrić has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Article about a footballer who fails WP:GNG and who has not played in a fully pro league.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Edit-warring[edit]

Stop icon

Your recent editing history at Ognjen Kuzmić shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly.

To avoid being blocked, instead of reverting please consider using the article's talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. See BRD for how this is done. You can post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection. --Jezebel'sPonyobons mots 00:18, 6 November 2013 (UTC)

Bogdan Bogdanovic[edit]

Hello Bozalegenda,

You undid my revision of Bogdan Bogdanovic's page by saying that it is not offical, it is true that there isn't any statements from either clubs but as you can see there are many references saying that the transfer has taken place;

1 2 3 4 5

Since they're in turkish in this link you can see the engish version as well.

I won't be reverting the page before I hear from you (before you're OK with my edit). Thanks for your time spent on reading my message.Rivaner (talk) 06:44, 7 July 2014 (UTC)

Some journalist from Turkey wrote on Twitter that Bogdanovic signed [2], but still nothing is official. I know that everything is almost done, but let's just wait for an announcement from the team or Euroleague.net.--Bozalegenda (talk) 14:07, 7 July 2014 (UTC)

OK then, I'll wait for offical news. Thanks.Rivaner (talk) 16:07, 7 July 2014 (UTC)

I still dont see anything here [3], but if you want you can edit. There is nothing official but he will probably sign today.--Bozalegenda (talk) 14:50, 11 July 2014 (UTC)

You're right, we reachead a consensus on waiting for offical news before we edit the pages. So, I'll make the edits as soon as there is something on the previously stated links.Rivaner (talk) 14:53, 11 July 2014 (UTC)

Miroslav Raduljica[edit]

Do you have a source that states Miroslav Raduljica's birthplace was Inđija? When I typed "Miroslav Raduljica birthplace" in google, most sources listed Belgrade [4] [5] [6] [7]. Some sources do list Belgrade as his hometown [8] [9]; did all these sources misinterpret this as his birthplace? DaHuzyBru (talk) 12:59, 21 September 2014 (UTC)

Anthony Myles[edit]

Are you interested in creating an article for the Anthony Myles who plays for VL Pesaro? I'm thinking that it will be confusing for readers to have 2 Anthony Myles active at the same time (as it was for me). If so, it should be Anthony Myles (basketball, born 1992). Here is his Italian League profile. No problem if you don't want to create it. Rikster2 (talk) 11:29, 15 October 2014 (UTC)

Sanja[edit]

Don't accuse me of hating anyone when you don't know me. My grandma was a Serbian lady from Sabac and have many cousins who are Serbs in Bijeljina. Most of my family is Bosniak but on my dads side they are mixed with just about everything and we all respect each other and celebrate eachothers holidays TOGETHER--Sabahudin9 (talk) 16:04, 23 December 2014 (UTC)

According to WP:NAMES: "Ethnicity or sexuality should not generally be emphasized in the opening unless it is relevant to the subject's notability." Sanja Maletic is not notable for being Serbian, rather for being a singer.--Sabahudin9 (talk) 16:17, 23 December 2014 (UTC)

For people from the former Yugoslavia, nationality means ethnicity but in the English-speaking world nationality is what country you are from and ethnicity is what ethnic group you belong too. Since Sanja is from Bosnia (nationality) and a Serb (ethnicity), saying she is Bosnian is correct.--Sabahudin9 (talk) 16:25, 23 December 2014 (UTC)

Jovan calls himself Bosnian and Goran says he is Croatian. Sanja says she is Bosnian. It's simple but your denial is making it difficult for you to comprehend reality. Just drop it because you're wrong and you won't win this --Sabahudin9 (talk) 17:04, 23 December 2014 (UTC)

Jahii Carson[edit]

Hey. Regarding Jahii Carson, the ref you sourced doesn't list a date anywhere, so when you put February 28, I looked for other references that stated February 28 and none did. The ones I found stated March 1. Do you know of perhaps any other Serbian refs that actually list/record a date for future reference? Cheers. DaHuzyBru (talk) 15:33, 12 March 2015 (UTC)

At the official website and official twitter acount of Metalac it was announced on February 28... also here are some Serbian sources with that date [10] [11]. And that source that i stated was also added on February 28 (see revision history) but i dont know why they dont have date. Cheers --Bozalegenda (talk) 19:42, 12 March 2015 (UTC)

Basketball articles[edit]

Hi! We've been having that issue with the article on Justin Robinson if you remember. I don't know how involved you are in the basketball or sports project, but this is incredibly normal and is against no rules. Me and other WP users I know have been doing this, and this is the first time we've been confronted about this issue. Countless "good articles", including Manu Ginóbili, Tony Parker, Dirk Nowitzki, Pau Gasol, Bruce Bowen, José Juan Barea, Anthony Parker, E'Twaun Moore, Jon Scheyer, Manny Harris and Dennis Rodman use this format. Please consider this next time you make a reckless edit. Charlie the Pig (talk) 00:53, 24 July 2015 (UTC)

Unicaja[edit]

Unicaja is not the sponsor, is the owner of the team and the name of the team in the domestic league (Liga ACB) is Unicaja. 1 In the reference, appears Unicaja (name of the team), Baloncesto Málaga (name of the club), but no appear Unicaja Málaga.

You are idiot, I personally know his family in Capljina, Repesa are Bosniaks, the source clearly says he is a Bosnian, stop plagiarizing.

The source I provided is no longer dead, I KNOW his family, all you need to do is a simple search of Repesa in Capljina and you see they are Bosniaks, stop mettling in something you know nothing about, it is irritating is all, that is why I used that language...

The source is clear he is a Bosnian, I know that he is Bosniak, he was born in Bosnia, it is only YOU that say Bosniaks call themselves Bosnian, but that is irrelevant what religion. The source is clear. YOU will be reverted as long as you keep editing.

You consider this vandalism, I consider this fight for truth, as Wikipedia should be. You should be ashamed, I won't care for this page any longer, but you can not erase the truth...

No, Bojan Bogdanovic and others are obviously Croatian because they are ethnic Croats who represent Croatia. Repesa is an ethnic Bosniak, born in Bosnia, who simply has Croatian citizenship. It is YOU with the problem, but again, like I said, I no longer care for this because I and many OTHERS know the truth, you can continue to put lies on Wikipedia. Very sad, very sad...

Ognjen Kuzmić[edit]

Hi. Based on history in working with you, I won't warn you for removing his Bosnian nationality. Please, read (and eventually participate, contest my claims) the discussion at the article's TP before any further reverts.--AirWolf talk 08:23, 28 July 2015 (UTC)

Changing height listing for NBA players from height listing from NBA[edit]

It has been discussed many times in the site, that when players are listed officially by NBA height, that should be their height listing, and not what their club team lists them at. So like if CSKA Moscow lists Khryapa at 2.03, it should not be changed from NBA listing of 2.06.Bluesangrel (talk) 23:26, 29 August 2015 (UTC)

No, we do need to directly (i.e. in-line) source both the Cyrillic name and the statistics table. That is basic stuff - WP:RS, WP:V, WP:BLP. An 'experienced' editor like yourself should know that by now. GiantSnowman 13:10, 1 November 2015 (UTC)

Removing the national leagues players played in[edit]

If you want to state the country the league played in, then add that, please don't remove the listing of what national league the player played in. The argument that they played in more than one league is irrelevant, considering that each country has more than one league, so simply listing the country played in does not tell the reader of the article what national league they played in. It would be like saying every NBA player or every NCAA player, or every D-League player simply "played in the USA".Bluesangrel (talk) 20:58, 6 November 2015 (UTC)

Reverting all the changes I do to numerous articles for no reason[edit]

Bozalegenda you have reverted all changes I have made to numerous articles for no reason, and when you do it, you remove numerous corrections and fixes I have made to those articles. I already had this discussion with you about when you did to this to the Aleksey Shved article, I believe after you twice reverted my edits on it. Now I see that you have done the same to numerous other articles i have edited. And you continue to also revert all edits to the articles, and then give your reason as you disagree with one single edit. Yet you revert the whole article which contained numerous edits. Your reasons for reverting are also not acceptable and it is going on now numerous times. Since we already had this discussion before, and you continued to revert my edits, and now are doing it again. I am going to revert the edits back, and if you continue to revert all my edits for no reason, I will take this discussion to an admin. I have asked you before not to do this, yet you continue to do it. Please stop reverting entire articles of edits I make without any valid reason or justification.Bluesangrel (talk) 21:08, 6 November 2015 (UTC)

Bozalegenda, can you be more specific about the problems you have with Bluesangrel's edits that you are moved to revert them? Can any differences of opinion be discussed on the article talk page? Jones and Williams[edit]

Marcus Williams played in Zhengzhou is a fact, I am Chinese, Official website also has. Why delete the Jones league. Longxiaozi (talk) 02:35, 22 January 2016 (UTC)

Willams played in Zhengzhou is a fact, Heilongjiang don'have join NBL in 2015, Zhengzhou Dayun is a new team, This is NBL Official website. 马库斯威廉姆森 is Marcus Williams, 郑州大运 is Zhengzhou Dayun. So Eurobasket is wrong. And Jones infobox is convenient. But Text is not convenient. Longxiaozi (talk) 15:07, 22 January 2016 (UTC)

Linas Kleiza[edit]

I see you keep edit warring and missing the point. All other leagues are irrelevant besides the national league. Read the documentation and explain why national leagues are listed in the articles for Pau Gasol and Manu Ginóbili. And if listing the national league is bad, then how those articles got GA nomination? Stop trying to win the article as you do now and discuss. – Sabbatino (talk) 18:41, 23 February 2016 (UTC)

@Sabbatino: So what if Ginobili and Gasol have countries in infobox? there are hundreds of other players who dont have that, and if you look carefully you will see that in European basketball 95% of basketball players dont have leagues in infobox... and Kleiza is an europan player. And also there is no consensus about adding leagues in infobox... If someone whants to see from which country is club, he will just click and see everything and also everything is already mentioned in text.--Bozalegenda (talk) 23:42, 23 February 2016 (UTC)
1. Kleiza barely spent 3 seasons in Europe so he shouldn't be called an European player. He started his career in NBA and spent 7 seasons there. Which is more – 3 or 7? 2. And it's not for you to decide what should or shouldn't be added. Edit warring just shows that you are trying to win/own the article which isn't good. – Sabbatino (talk) 09:26, 25 February 2016 (UTC)
@Sabbatino: It doesnt matter if he spent 3 or 13 seasons in NBA, he is an European player from Lithuania. And off course that is not on me to decide that, but since im here one of the main basketball editors then my opinion about this is more reliable then someone who doesnt edit european basketball articles.--Bozalegenda (talk) 07:31, 26 February 2016 (UTC)
You don't really know what I edit and what I don't. Your opinion can't be more reliable, because of something. If we list only the club in Kleiza's infobox then the same should be done to Gasol's, Parker's, Diaw's and every other European player's article (regardless of the league they play in). This is no place to have double standards for something. And I'll repeat again – template's documentation exists for a reason and it's clear. – Sabbatino (talk) 12:32, 26 February 2016 (UTC)
@Sabbatino: Ok i will remove countries from Gasol, Parker... i didnt have time to go and remove all that cause i am updating transactions and removing vandalism. And template's documentation is just show us parameters, there is no OFFICAL CONSENSUS about adding leagues in infobox.--Bozalegenda (talk) 18:40, 26 February 2016 (UTC)

PAO BC[edit]

The truth is that Raduljica had not contact for 2 years, but for 1+1. Coach Pedoulakis has shown that he doesn't trust Raduljica for the Center's position, since he did not use for more than 5 minutes in each game in the finals against Olympiacos. Plus, Raduljica's salary is about 1 million euros, and no team would re-sign a player whom the coach won't use for that much money. Also, rumour has it that Rduljica was looking for a team in the NBA ever before the end of the League. The thing is that Raduljica will not be a member of Panathinaikos next year, so I would ask you to stop puting him again in the team's roster, so that it will be as accurate as possible. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Tdask13 (talkcontribs) 09:42, 16 June 2016 (UTC)

Well since you are getting so noisy about it then i'm forced not to edit it again. But when the team's roster is upgraded on its official site, it will change no matter what. -Tdask13 (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 13:56, 16 June 2016 (UTC)

Please stop removing references to him playing for the Lakers.--Rockchalk717 04:06, 25 June 2016 (UTC)

Jonas Mačiulis[edit]

Did you not read my edit summary? I fully explained it to you. People born in the Soviet Republics of Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania should have just the present-day country listed on Wikipedia. It stems from them being illegally annexed by the USSR which was not recognized by countries such as the United States. This has been protocol on these articles per their respective WikiProjects for awhile, and a lot of times I make it my mission to fulfill these as a Baltic person. { [ ( jjj 1238 ) ] } 14:14, 9 August 2016 (UTC)

I'm not gonna even bother continuing with this because there's no point but you're clearly not understanding what I'm saying and are not aware of the rules. I never said anything about Yugoslavia or the rest of the USSR. I'm talking about the Baltic states. There is a policy for all Baltic states for it not to display the USSR in birthplace as they were all legally independent nations throughout the occupation. I don't know what you don't understand this is not rewriting history or anything, it's just policy. But I'm going to move on with my life because I have better things to do than argue over something so pointless. { [ ( jjj 1238 ) ] } 19:05, 9 August 2016 (UTC)
@Jjj1238: There's no consensus on how a birth place for Lithuanians born during Soviet period should be listed. I was the person that asked here about this issue and there is no consensus. Moreover, there was no discussion either (one person's opinion is not a consensus/policy/rule). I do know that there's a consensus about this between Estonians, but haven't heard anything regarding this issue from Latvians (show the consensus, because your word doesn't mean anything if you can't back it up). – Sabbatino (talk) 10:15, 10 August 2016 (UTC)
Well, now that I've inadvertently waded into this... where was such a consensus reached for Estonians? Even if the Baltic countries were illegally annexed, these edits seem to ignore the de facto reality of things. It's not like those places were really operating as independent countries. Any US map would have shown them as part of the USSR. Zagalejo^^^ 04:09, 12 August 2016 (UTC)

Domestic league stat tables[edit]

Hi Bozalegenda,

I have found in several articles (probably tens, or even hundreds) tables containing stats from other than continental, "popular" leagues such as NBA or Euroleague. It is a great work, lot of effort was put in and no one can deny that fact. However, I don't see how valuable are they, there are many cross-interferences (regional, national league) and other than raw material put in, I don't see the general purpose behind them. What I suggest is to leave such various league stats within the external links. I see where the comes from (American English: soccer), but these tables have only three parameters (gp, goal, assist) and as such aren't complicated for readers at all. In basketball it appears quite raw and large in my opinion. What do you think about that? Thanks --AirWolf talk 19:01, 23 September 2016 (UTC)

  • Also, just like in the case for Nikola Jokić, and I'll say it over and over again, FGP is quite different than 2PFGP. That way we are presenting false information.--AirWolf talk 19:09, 23 September 2016 (UTC)
  • Also, the use of word "domestic" is highly arguable. With the possibility for the player to play in several countries other than US, we should exclude that word.--AirWolf talk 19:13, 23 September 2016 (UTC)
  • Last and maybe the most important, I'm strongly against the stats from the non-1st-tier-continental league or NBA for simple reason. Data verification is quite out of control and updating and overseeing IMPOSSIBLE which is not the case for Euroleague and definitely not for the NBA. But I understand that we should stick to the discussion results on Portal which is in my opinion not the right thing, but I have to respect it. Simple question for you, do we as a community have the power to overview thousands of non-NBA player articles? Do we? In case of Jokic it is possible, but what about others? And finally, let's at least give true information, and organize these existing non-NBA and non-Euroleague tables, make it a standard. If not, we'll have progressive inept content.--AirWolf talk 19:20, 23 September 2016 (UTC)
@AirWolf: I dont have nothing against to remove domestic league stats. If you want to remove that just do it, for me thats ok.--Bozalegenda (talk) 13:42, 24 September 2016 (UTC)

@Rikster2: Ok i will revert this tomorrow. Man you should stop doing this stupid edits... for years you are doing just some small stupid edits. Please start doing something valuable here. Official name is PBA Governors' Cup -[12], and thats how should be standing.--Bozalegenda (talk) 18:21, 13 November 2016 (UTC)
Hey, its the PBA editors who prefer that style. I just try to have consistency. And screw you, I've probably written 500 articles, update trades and debuts and all sorts of other things. Certainly as valuable as what you have brought to the table, so get over yourself. Also, thanks for verifying in advance that you plan to break from Wikipedia Rules to continue a "slow-moving edit war." That could still get you banned, bud. Rikster2 (talk) 18:55, 13 November 2016 (UTC)
@Rikster2: There is no consensus about this, so you cant revert because you think that you are right. Im just giving official name, and that is correct... im not making any vandalim so i just dont get it why are you reverting? And sorry mate but your edits are pretty stupid and not so important. Since i am here, i cant remember some valuable edit from you. Just some bullshit minor edits in infobox.--Bozalegenda (talk) 19:04, 13 November 2016 (UTC)
All about perspective I guess. I can't really see that you've done anything more valuable so we're even. Go ahead and put it back. I don't care that much. But edits for format consistency aren't particularly unusual, you should know that. Rikster2 (talk) 19:07, 13 November 2016 (UTC)
@Rikster2: No mate, my edits are more valuable then yours. Im doing basketball transactions from all over the world, updating new clubs and so many things...you are just doing some minor edits in infobox. Thats not so important.--Bozalegenda (talk) 19:14, 13 November 2016 (UTC)
LOL. I also update transactions all over the world, update teams, correct misinformation, add references, add categories, fill in missing information, and create articles. The set of edits you don't like (apparently) is the set where I format according to consensus. That's cool. You can delude yourself into thinking you matter more than others. I am actually glad for your edits, they are helpful for the most part. Take it easy, bud. Rikster2 (talk) 19:18, 13 November 2016 (UTC)
@Rikster2:Yeah mate but when i add transaction at some page I add also ref and add that information in text. And you just add new club in infobox and thats all... For example look at Boris Dallo or Trevor Cooney, you just add a new club in infobox, but where is that information and reference in text? And most of yout edits are like that, just some minor edits in infobox.--Bozalegenda (talk) 19:27, 13 November 2016 (UTC)

Most of the time when I do that the isn't an article to reference yet - it's from in-game. But I generally leave a link and I clean up plenty from others as well. But you are entitled to your opinion. Rikster2 (talk) 19:39, 13 November 2016 (UTC)

@Rikster2: Mate that's not only my opinion, all real basketball editors here think also like me. So dont be mad, just be cool and stop crying :D--Bozalegenda (talk) 19:45, 13 November 2016 (UTC)
Funny, I was going to tell you the same thing. Don't worry about me crying, WP isn't actually real life. Your opinion is only important to you, and I'd say the same to whomever else. Cheers, man, I don't feel the need to be mad at you. Rikster2 (talk) 19:48, 13 November 2016 (UTC)

Ronald Roberts infobox[edit]

See here for one such discussion on infobox career history usage. DaHuzyBru (talk) 17:29, 2 January 2017 (UTC)

@DaHuzyBru: Im not interested to read that discussion, but as i can see its about Bynum and that has nothing with Ronald Roberts. Bynum never played in a offical game for the 76ers, and Roberts played for Tofas only in 2016. This is how we add years in infobox, if he never played in 2017 he can not have 2017 in infobox. This was explained so many times, and this is how we have in so many other players (Lamont Hamilton, Donnie Mcgrath, Nikos Zisis, Manny Harris, Dejan Musli, Justin Carter, Alex Acker....)--Bozalegenda (talk) 17:36, 2 January 2017 (UTC)
In that discussion, full tenures are discussed. Once a player makes their debut for a team, the infobox years are listed from when they started to when they finished, per the discussion I linked. If someone joins a team for a season and plays just one game in October for example and then doesn't play again for the rest of the season, the full season tenure goes in the infobox i.e. if an NBA player spends the majority of the season in the D-League. What are you basing your method on? I have gone by "full tenure" infobox listings for years now. DaHuzyBru (talk) 18:02, 2 January 2017 (UTC)
@DaHuzyBru: I answered you on WikiProject National Basketball Association.--Bozalegenda (talk) 20:31, 2 January 2017 (UTC)

I don't quite understand your logic, Bozalegenda. You are persistent with Roberts having only "2016" because he didn't play in 2017, but list Kevin Dillard as "2016–2017" despite him not playing for Pinar Karsiyaka since December 3. Even more so with Dillard, he actually had a falling out with his team [13] [14], so he did technically part ways with the squad following that December 3 encounter. Was your "2016–2017" addition a mistake on your end or did were you not aware of his final game being December 3? If it was neither of those reasons, then you are being quite hypocritical and not consistent. User:Bagumba's main point in his post at the WT:NBA discussion was that he doesn't mind how it's done, as long as it's consistent. By adding "2016–2017" to Dillard's article, you are being anything but consistent. DaHuzyBru (talk) 06:03, 7 January 2017 (UTC)

@DaHuzyBru: Mate sorry but its a mistake, i actually did not watch when he played his last game. It should be only 2016 because he never played for Karsiyaka in 2017. Thanks--Bozalegenda (talk) 20:07, 7 January 2017 (UTC)
I still don't like your method. Readers of the article right now see "On January 7, 2017, he left Karşıyaka", but then see only 2016 in the infobox. If I was a casual reader, I'd be confused – he could have played between Jan 1–6, but we haven't told the readers otherwise. We need to do a better job explaining the situation i.e. you need to be more thorough with your updates and include more info i.e. what happened with Dillard and Karşıyaka in December. We need to provide clarification because right now, the infobox contradicts the prose. Your method of adding only the years in which they played isn't known to the reader. Casual readers don't know that you have only added the years in which he played to the infobox, especially if it hasn't been noted in the prose – that's why I went back and added more info to Roberts' article explaining what happened to him in December. Full tenures makes much more sense, but if you are going to continue with your method, you need to do better with your updates. Next time a similar situation comes up like these two – injury or falling out – you need to be prepared to provide more on the situation than just "he parted ways" or "he left". Gather more sources and add more to the article. All the best. DaHuzyBru (talk) 04:32, 8 January 2017 (UTC)

FMP[edit]

So THIS logo should be used at KK FMP Beograd, and THIS at KK FMP ? If so, then I will re-upload the newer logo Snowflake91 (talk) 14:33, 15 March 2017 (UTC)

@Snowflake91: Yes. Please upload it. Thank you.--Bozalegenda (talk) 14:38, 15 March 2017 (UTC)
Community? And where is the community's discussion? Go and ask at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Basketball and ask for an opinion about that then, there are AT LEAST 4 different reliable sources which claims that the old FMP is playing in the league, but then you still change the club to "defunct" (at the other end, no sources directly confirms that old KK Radnički is playing in the league, all sources are from 2015 and just confirms the end of KK FMP-Zvezda cooperation), so this is edit warring, Bobik is edit warring as well so we need discussion at WikiProject Basketball and at Wikipedia:Dispute resolution noticeboard so someone neutral will decide what to do. And, if old KK Radnički changed the name to FMP in 2013, then why is there no club competing under the name "KK FMP" in 2013-14, 2014-15, and 2015-16 ?Snowflake91 (talk) 12:29, 27 March 2017 (UTC)
@Snowflake91: Mate where do you see 4 different reliable sources... WHERE? I already ask you about that on talk page and you ignored me.--Bozalegenda (talk) 12:32, 27 March 2017 (UTC)
ABA official website, club's official website, and two news article from bilic and the one that bobik just added yesteday, and there are probably more Snowflake91 (talk) 12:34, 27 March 2017 (UTC)
@Snowflake91: Where are those two Blic articles? If you think about this article then you are wrong. In this article you can read one BIG LIE that FMP will play in Eurocup, and that article is big disgrace for journalist who wrote that. I dont see other Blic article, and in that Zurnal article coach of the team Klipa says that FMP returned to ABA after 7 years, i mean COACH... well he will definitely not say that this FMP who is competing in ABA is actually Radnicki from Novi Sad. The only one source that Bobik have is self-published source on FMP website whis is just copied to ABA website... and I provided about 20 sources about my version, and version which was here for years.--Bozalegenda (talk) 12:53, 27 March 2017 (UTC)
@Snowflake91: Mate i dont understand this question: ″And, if old KK Radnički changed the name to FMP in 2013, then why is there no club competing under the name "KK FMP" in 2013-14, 2014-15, and 2015-16 ?″ What kind of a question is this??? Club with name FMP was competing in that seasons. From 2013. Radnicki FMP (previosly Radnicki Basket and Radnicki NS) changed his name to FMP, but they were competing only in Basketball League of Serbia--Bozalegenda (talk) 13:22, 27 March 2017 (UTC)

You know that Bobik will just show up and revert everything again, the page cannot be unstable like that and being completely changed every 24 hours, if Bobik is vandalising then report him at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents and invite the community members who are familiar with basketball to participate in discussion Snowflake91 (talk) 12:42, 27 March 2017 (UTC)

Why did you revert Dušan Ristić on April 8, 2017?[edit]

Please explain your reasons for reverting Dušan Ristić from contributions made on April 6 2017. Diananeptune (talk) 20:25, 22 April 2017 (UTC)

Croatian emigrants to Serbia[edit]

Croats (ethnic) and Croatians (national) are not the same. If Croatia is regarded independent since 1991, and Mačvan's family fled the war to Serbia, he is technically a Croatian emigrant to Serbia. He is still an ethnic Serb, whether living in Croatia or moving from there to Serbia (upon which he is Serbian).--Zoupan 23:51, 23 April 2017 (UTC)

Devon van Oostrum[edit]

Please do not be hostile by reverting my edits and by threatening me that you will block me. This should be discussed on the talk page. I discussed this with an experienced editor who agrees that we should discuss this on the talk page of Devon van Oostrum--Danteday (talk) 16:02, 24 June 2017 (UTC).

Tony Mitchell[edit]

Did you look at the actual BSN profile for Mitchell? Born in 1992 in Milwaukee and 6'8 235 pounds? That's the Tony MItchell who went to North Texas, not the one who went to Alabama. I'm still not sure you got it right - are you and why? Rikster2 (talk) 02:12, 5 July 2017 (UTC)

@Rikster2: BSN profile has made a mistake. This is Tony Mitchell born in 1989 [15][16][17]--Bozalegenda (talk) 13:04, 5 July 2017 (UTC)
That's why I reverted my edit (seeing a picture was the confirmation), but you should be able to see why there is confusion. It's his official league profile that has the other guy's info plus in my poking around I saw an announcement of the deal that actually showed a picture of the other guy. Allen Iverson and other sport related Articles[edit]

Warning icon Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to blank out or remove portions of page content, templates, or other materials from Wikipedia without adequate explanation, as you did at Allen Iverson, you may be blocked from editing. Thank you.

It has been noticed this is not the first time (nor the second) you made dubious and disruptive edits to other sport pages.

I ask you to please form a discussion before recklessly editing

Remi1771 (talk) 19:07, 11 July 2017 (UTC)

@Remi1771: Haha you are one funny guy. The only one who is doing disruptive editing here is you. And you could be blocked, not me. 3 on 3 tournaments are not for infobox. --Bozalegenda (talk) 20:57, 11 July 2017 (UTC)
@Bozalegenda: "3 on 3 tournaments are not for infobox." According to whom? All the other players that participate in a 3x3 team have their current career history; so, I understand that your personal opinion is that 3x3 shouldn't be listed under the career history, but it is not your personal opinion that matters but rather the wikipedia foundation and the information and knowledge given to the people Remi1771 (talk) 03:23, 12 July 2017 (UTC)
@Remi1771: My friend it looks like you dont know anything about wikipedia if you are doing this. 3 on 3 tournaments are not for infobox, and thats not my opinion, that is opinion of almost all basketball users here. There was a discussion at WikiProject Basketball and there is no one who thinks that 3 on 3 tournaments are for infobox. Also all other players that are playing at BIG3 tournament do not have that in career history, so stop doing vandalism.--Bozalegenda (talk) 12:29, 12 July 2017 (UTC)
@Bozalegenda: thanks man, that's what I was asking for when I repeatedly asked for your source, know we can all have a nice conversation. Although, that wasn't the "opinion of almost all basketball users here" that was only your opinion and some other guys (pretty different to what you stated You might wanna check the link you send, only 4 people answered which doesn't nearly add up to a the majority of basketball editors) anyway I appreciate you linking to the discussion and I'll proceed to debate before editing. Still, the Rashad Mcants is an Inconsistency on your part, why does AI lead say he's a coach/player for the BIG3 when Rashad is a player yet it says is a free agent?

Remi1771 (talk) 19:48, 12 July 2017 (UTC)

Xavier Silas[edit]

Heya. I saw that undid my edit for Xavier Silas because of the BIG3 information in the infobox. I don't agree with that but I have added my two cents to the discussion on the basketball page and will go from there. I won't be re-adding it to the infobox unless it is agreed upon. However, when you completed the undo, it also removed some of my text in the opening paragraph about his current playing situation. I am going to go ahead and put that back in as I am assuming it was just the infobox that you took issue with. I just wanted to say something first so that you didn't think I was starting an edit war ;) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2600:387:6:807:0:0:0:AD (talk) 02:37, 19 July 2017 (UTC)

Big 3[edit]

Why shouldn't BIG 3 be included in the infobox?

It's a legitimate professional league with a national TV deal (FS1/Fox), it features retired/former NBA players and coaches.

I don't see why it shouldn't be listed.

Vjmlhds (talk) 01:59, 28 August 2017 (UTC)

@Vjmlhds: 3 on 3 tournaments are not for infobox. There was a discussion about this and there was no consensus to add Big3 in infobox.--Bozalegenda (talk) 02:02, 28 August 2017 (UTC)
I saw the discussion...you're right. Big 3 is a completely different animal than the NBA. No hard feelings. Vjmlhds (talk) 02:06, 28 August 2017 (UTC)

Articles should have the wiki links of current league names[edit]

Like at Esteban Batista, the names of the leagues he played in should not all be linked to old names of the leagues. Especially since in some of these cases, the league is also retroactively re-named.Bluesangrel (talk) 18:12, 4 September 2017 (UTC)

@Bluesangrel: You should stop doing that stupid edits. I mean why do we have redirects??? Read this and stop doing that, cause one day i will just go and revert all your changes. Also Turkish Basketball Super League name is from 2016, so only from that year you should add that league name. --Bozalegenda (talk) 23:39, 4 September 2017 (UTC)
The current name of the league EuroLeague is EuroLeague, and also was that same name in years past like in the 1990s. When it lists for example, a player's stats, an headlines it with "Euroleague", then obviously, the correct name of the league, "EuroLeague" should be used. Or if an article simply refers to or references EuroLeague, such as a sentence like, "The player was a member of the EuroLeague club X,Y,Z". Then yes, the current name of the article should be used. So you have no reason to call those stupid edits, nor to say they all need to be reverted.Bluesangrel (talk) 00:44, 5 September 2017 (UTC)
@Bluesangrel: Once again you are wrong. EuroLeague (with big L) is name from 2016, and only from that year you should add name like that. All before 2016 should be Euroleague (with small L).--Bozalegenda (talk) 13:59, 5 September 2017 (UTC)
Except that they retroactively re-named it to EuroLeague, and also, in the 90's it was named EuroLeague also.Bluesangrel (talk) 23:17, 5 September 2017 (UTC)

S.L. Benfica bastkeball players[edit]

You say Category:S.L. Benfica basketball players can't be added to new players because they haven't played for Benfica yet, but they do have signed a contract with Benfica, therefore, they are Benfica players already. What is the issue? SLBedit (talk) 15:57, 7 September 2017 (UTC)

@SLBedit: It doesnt matter if they signed with Benfica, they could get injured and never played for the club. We add categories when player make official debut for the team... that is for all basketball players here, just look at hundreds others situations like this.--Bozalegenda (talk) 17:00, 7 September 2017 (UTC)
Okay, it's different for footballers. SLBedit (talk) 17:04, 7 September 2017 (UTC)

Panionios BC roster edits[edit]

I see that editors keep removing roster edits to the Panionios BC article. Is there a reason for this? I looked at the edits and all of them are correct. All of these players have been signed by the team. Is it just because the team does not have a website that these edits keep getting removed? Since the teams does not have a website, then I don't think these edits should be reverted, when these signing are all being reported in major Greek sports media. The Greek cup already started, and the team already played games, and you can't do that with 4-5 players like something like eurobasket.com shows, or whatever. In fact, they signed like 14 players already.Bluesangrel (talk) 20:42, 1 October 2017 (UTC)

@Bluesangrel: Reason is that you didn't provide a source. Just provide a source and everything will be ok. And i was not doing edits at Panionios article, only at Slaven Cupkovic.--Bozalegenda (talk) 18:44, 2 October 2017 (UTC)

To enforce an arbitration decision and for disruptive nationalistic editing on Template:Defunct national basketball teams and other articles., you have been blocked from editing for a period of 2 weeks. You are welcome to edit once the block expires; however, please note that the repetition of similar behavior may result in a longer block or other sanctions.

If you believe this block is unjustified, please read the guide to appealing blocks (specifically this section) before appealing. Administrators modifying sanctions out of process may at the discretion of the committee be desysopped."

If you treat editors opposing your changes as vandals then your next block will be longer. --NeilN talk to me 21:23, 8 March 2018 (UTC)

Regarding your email, I will unblock you if you agree to a one month article/template topic ban on all basketball articles involving the Balkans. You may still use talk pages only. --NeilN talk to me 21:50, 8 March 2018 (UTC)

Replying here as requested by your email: You are not getting it. "If you treat editors opposing your changes as vandals then your next block will be longer." If you think their editing is damaging the encyclopedia then make an arbitration enforcement request, complete with diffs. While your contributions to the encyclopedia are appreciated, they do not give you the "upper hand" in content disputes. You were blocked for the reasons outlined in the block message which says nothing about you being a vandal. --NeilN talk to me 01:26, 16 March 2018 (UTC)
