The Patidar reservation agitation is an ongoing protest in India. I am updating the article since its beginning. The article is good in shape but requires copyediting for grammar and language as I am not native speaker of English. The article is already nominated for GA review. Can you copyedit it? This will be really helpful. Regards,--Nizil (talk) 06:12, 5 August 2016 (UTC)

I've done some of it, but it is a long article, and I can't spare the time to finish it! Edwardx (talk) 09:04, 5 August 2016 (UTC)

Old photos moved to Commons

Edward, just wanted to let you know I moved your old Wikipedia photo uploads from 2007 over to Commons - mostly gravesites from Brompton and Kensal Green. I added "listed building" tags wherever I could find them. Thanks for the photos! Kelly hi! 18:55, 15 August 2016 (UTC)

That's very kind of you Kelly. Many of those old uploads had been moved, but I had no idea there were still so many left to be done. Not sure if I'd even heard about Commons in 2007. Edwardx (talk) 00:16, 16 August 2016 (UTC)

Alan Howard (hedge fund manager) - Proposed Additions (Continued)

Hi Edward,

I am following up on a conversation we had in July regarding some proposed additions to the Wikipedia page of Alan Howard (hedge fund manager).

First and foremost, thank you very much for your feedback - I am still working out the intricacies of Wikipedia so any help or guidance is much appreciated!

I have put the proposed additions in my Sandbox for now. I'm aware you mentioned putting the suggestions into the article talkpage, but I was advised elsewhere that Sandbox may be the best starting point. Additionally, as you advised, I have only left the philanthropy section to make it a more digestible proposal (with all relevant citations included). Can you please advise if this is a better approach and how else I can help?

Thank you in advance.

Nice article and hooks, by the way MelanieN. I grew up in the US and UK, and personally am not much bothered one way or the other. However, the "the" thing always gets picked up at Wikipedia:Main Page/Errors, so it's best to dispose of it early to stop people moaning about DYK being riddled with errors! Curiously, I started the articles on both his parents. Edwardx (talk) 21:08, 6 September 2016 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of Reserved (retail)

The article Reserved (retail) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

The coverage (references, external links, etc.) does not seem sufficient to justify this article passing Wikipedia:General notability guideline and the more detailed Wikipedia:Notability (companies) requirement. If you disagree and deprod this, please explain how it meets them on the talk page in the form of "This article meets criteria A and B because..." and ping me back. Thank you. This proposed deletion was started by User:Piotrus

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Invitation from Wikipedia Asian Month 2016

Thanks for partipating Wikipedia Asian Month last year, and I hope you enjoy it. Last year, more than 7,000 articles contribute to Wikipedia in 43 languages in Wikipedia Asian Month, making us one of the largest event on Wikipedia. We will organize this event again in upcoming November, and would like to invite you join us again.

This year, we are lowering down the standards that you only need to create 4 (Four) articles to receive a postcard (new design), and articles only need to be more than 3,000 bytes and 300 words. We are also improving our postcard sending process, e.g. making the postcards right now, and collecting the address after the event ends without waiting other languges.

Wikipedians who create the most articles on each Wikipedia will be honored as "Wikipedia Asian Ambassadors". We will send you both digital copy, and a paper copy of the Ambassador certificate.

Thank you for considering! --AddisWang (talk)

Do you take photo requests?

Edward, I've seen the enormous number of quality photos you've taken of heritage sites in London...do you take requests or suggestions? I was looking at some newly listed sculptures and buildings in London for which we're missing photos. If so, are there particular areas of London which are easier for you to take photos in? I was looking at a new Grade II* building in Tower Hamlets but I know that isn't always the nicest area to visit. Kelly hi! 15:18, 4 November 2016 (UTC)

Flattery often works! Happy to try to help in west/south-west and towards central London, but this lies outside the areas I would usually frequent. I can ask at the meet-up next weekend if someone can help. User:WereSpielChequers will be there and is working on some sort of London area photo competition for articles missing photos. Hi Kelly. We usually have some people from there or near abouts at the London meetup, you could post a photo request there . The East London meetup is actually in Tower Hamlets but is less well attended, especially by people I know to be photographers. I went last month but that was a very rare visit to Tower Hamlets for me. ϢereSpielChequers 09:12, 7 November 2016 (UTC)
Thanks, WereSpielChequers, the photo request idea for Kelly is much better than my mentioning it at the meet-up (one could easily forget). Edwardx (talk) 10:50, 7 November 2016 (UTC)
