DJ DX

Hello why do you keep going after dj dx's article? Is it something personal why won't you just let it go and move on with your day or help the situation. I am trying to fix it and it's not a copyright, it asked for a reference to the article and i used the newspaper that it was written in about him! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Vinylstars (talkcontribs) 17:20, 8 December 2015 (UTC)

You can't just copy some newspaper text. That is a copyright violation. You may use the information from an article, but not the article text itself. // Liftarn (talk)

Okay i will fix this and i am working hard on improving the article if you can help me with it i would greatly appreciate it. Thank You — Preceding unsigned comment added by Vinylstars (talkcontribs) 15:41, 10 December 2015 (UTC)

Your recent editing history at Taio Cruz shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the article's talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See BRD for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. anemoneprojectors 08:41, 21 April 2016 (UTC)

P.S. Normally I would say that reverting the removal of references wouldn't constitute an edit war on your part, but as the other user gave a reason for removing them, I think a discussion would be necessasry before any further edits are made. Thanks :-) anemoneprojectors 08:43, 21 April 2016 (UTC)

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Melkus PT 73 Spyder requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article or image appears to be a clear copyright infringement. This article or image appears to be a direct copy from http://america.pink/melkus-spyder_2956886.html. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website or image but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Eagleash (talk) 12:59, 2 May 2016 (UTC)

Thank you for your message. I'm not all that new as it happens. Mirror sites can be a problem and it's not always easy to tell whether a site is actually one or not. This site does not appear on a known list as far as I can tell. You have contested the deletion as is right and proper and if it is not certain, Admin. will likely give the benefit of the doubt. Eagleash (talk) 14:41, 2 May 2016 (UTC)
I have had the chance to check some other pages on the same external site and they reveal passages clearly copied from Wiki. I've also found the site in the list of mirrors (after looking in the right place!). CSD nom. removed. Apologies for confusion. Eagleash (talk) 14:55, 2 May 2016 (UTC)

Oh dear

Eleven years ago, you made this edit. I don't suppose you'd have any idea of where you got the information in the first place? The oldest source I've found for that statement is from 2007 -- two years after your edit, which thus makes it unusable as a source. DS (talk) 15:07, 17 May 2016 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of The Man Who Melted Jack Dann

The article The Man Who Melted Jack Dann has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

This proposed deletion was started by User:Piotrus

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Hello. A tag has been placed on Brandon Harrod requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

Swedish overseas trade during World War II

Hello, and thankou for providing the source with page number regarding Swedish neutrality. I have some questions about your other two sources though:

  • How long can Golson, Eric Bernard. The Economics of Neutrality: Spain, Sweden and Switzerland in the Second World War (PDF). The London School of Economics and Political Science. remain on the page as a reliable source when it does not have the page number to it? Are you going to add it?
  • What is Wikipedias policy on RA UDA/1920ds/HP64Ua/2897, file marked “Juli 1943 – Mars 31 1944,” table marked “SKF:s Totalexport Exkl. Maskiner och Gängtappar under Aren 1938 ‐ 1942,” dated 19 July 1943 foreign language sources?

It says so right in the Wikipedia article that it is a "far-right syndicated American news, opinion and commentary website". // Liftarn (talk) 09:04, 23 May 2018 (UTC)

"Jeffrey "Jeff" Randall is a fictional character played by Mike Pratt in the original private detective series, Randall and Hopkirk (Deceased) from 1969 to 1971 and by Bob Mortimer in the BBC remake." Is he a reliable source? // Liftarn (talk) 09:43, 23 May 2018 (UTC)

Still not relevant as it's a fringe opinion. See WP:FRINGE. If BBC would self identify as a biased news source and there was a wide consensus they were biased it would be a different matter. // Liftarn (talk) 10:26, 23 May 2018 (UTC)
but the article is not a breitbart journalists opinion. It is the malmo former police chief discussing matters, regardless of who it is who is interviewing him. --2001:8003:4023:D900:45A4:C69C:3094:F649 (talk) 11:41, 23 May 2018 (UTC)
According to who? Do you have a reliable source that says that Breitbart actually interviewed him and that the article is an accurate representation of what he actually said in that case? // Liftarn (talk) 11:56, 23 May 2018 (UTC)

Here is a source with the former police chief talking about Malmö. I couldn't find much else though, an exclusive Breitbart interview I think. --1.136.111.66 (talk) 02:46, 25 May 2018 (UTC)
Looks like it's behind a paywall. Yeah, or perhaps Breitbart just invented it out of thin air. That's why they can't be used as a source. // Liftarn (talk) 06:25, 25 May 2018 (UTC)
Found the article[1] so what is your point? // Liftarn (talk) 09:19, 25 May 2018 (UTC)

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Disambiguation link notification for October 17

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Soldiers of Odin, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Mikael Johansson (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Hello. If you don't know enough English to understand what articles say or words mean, don't edit here. The source says "motstånd mot islam", which is a much milder term than Islamophobia that you changed the link to (according to that article "muslimhat" is a Swedish synonym for Islamophobia, that is a much stronger term than "motstånd mot islam"...). - Tom | Thomas.W talk 17:46, 5 December 2019 (UTC)

Straight-10 engine moved to draftspace

An article you recently created, Straight-10 engine, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. A tag has been placed on Timbaland plagiarism coäntroversy requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section R3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a recently created redirect from an implausible typo or misnomer, or other unlikely search term.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. signed, Rosguill talk 20:24, 2 December 2020 (UTC)
