Reverting my Renault Captur edit
Thank you for your encouragement and concern. You reverted my changes in the article Renault Captur . I have made that edit as there was an unnecessary infobox, that have just doubled the firs info box in the article. As such, it is redundant and provides an eye-sore, plus creates confusion.
- No, your edit caused confusion, you could have just written in the summary: "Double infobox removed" or something like that. I removed the restored infobox now. TheImaCow (talk) 18:57, 4 May 2020 (UTC)

Reverting my edit
Thank you for your encouragement and concern. You reverted my changes in the article Draft:Meraka Veedhi Telaga . In that para i have described the Pre-history of the area which the families occupied and i was notified that the article is not clear whether it described the area or the families. Thus i removed it to be more clear about the family avoiding the area description.Thank you TheImaCow . — Preceding unsigned comment added by Rushi1122334455 (talk • contribs) 14:23, 30 April 2020 (UTC)

Reverting my recent edit
I noticed you recently deleted a portion of my edit, however, I'm not entirely sure what that particular piece of information was an issue as I have been writing a large amount of similar information all along, and with the topic that it, also makes it difficult to know ahead of time what exactly is allowed to be written and what is not. I would like to know your own understanding of the information I was writing about too, do you have knowledge about the page I am editing? I am attempting to build the page. and I'm relying mostly on my own knowledge and memory of the subject, which I know off by heart. None of it is false information. I have carefully written every bit of it so far. I would like if you could restore my edit, and perhaps consider putting a "citation required" notice next to any future edits that are questionable if its simply a case of a citation required. I only began Wikipedia editing this week, and this is my third warning, but its difficult to continue editing when I am unsure what will be allowed, the edits are all largely similar in their information. I still have a considerable amount to write, so I do not want to break any rules.THUNDERSKULL99 (talk) 18:36, 26 April 2020 (UTC)
- @THUNDERSKULL99: You probably already noticed, I have now (or better said 8 hours ago or so) restored the content I deleted. It looks like you already got the fourth warning, so I can't do much about it. You would then have to discuss this (that the content that was deleted again will be restored (you can find it here, by the way) and that warnings 3 + 4 gets removed) with Materialscientist. Moving to draft space
Hi there. I know that strictly speaking moving undersourced articles to draft space is not forbidden (although it should) but per WP:FIXTHEPROBLEM, could you maybe at least try to address the issues yourself before doing so? For example, Draft:Nora Fingscheidt might not have sources but the subject is a notable award-winning film director with thousands of GNews hits and a very extensive article on de-wiki that contains a lot of sources as well. The {{expand German}} tag would have been a better alternative here. Thanks in advance! Regards SoWhy 13:59, 28 April 2020 (UTC)

- TheImaCow, Howdy hello, saw that you were removing the categories too. While I can sympathize with your desire to have the requested categories page be clear, the Category:Wikipedians with red-linked categories on their user talk page seems to have a special place in the hearts of many editors. Removing it is kinda like touching a hornet's nest. Sorry you had to find out this way. If you really think the category shouldn't...not exist? then you'll need to have a formal discussion about it. But given the community's prior stance on the issue, I think that would be a difficult undertaking. CaptainEek Edits Ho Cap'n!⚓ 10:57, 29 April 2020 (UTC)

Category: Persian Studies
Hello, recently I have created a page for "Association for the Study of Persianate Societies". In the category section I added "Persian studies". You have removed this because there is no "Persian studies" category on Wiki. May you please let me know how we can have a category entitled "Persian studies" in Wikipedia? Christ Church St Laurence
The previous entry was a disaster. As explained, the text I inserted was a complete rewrite to take into account the insights from research over the past 20 years and to reflect the current activities of the parish. I did not mention that it was undertaken as a project by several parishioners, including the parish archivist and a churchwarden of the parish. It included many references to contemporaneous sources, new publications and many wikipedia pages. It took me all afternoon to insert everything. Please just put it back. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Waughj (talk • contribs) 05:54, 30 April 2020 (UTC)

This is the first time I've had to engage quite so fully with a Wikipedia entry (drew the short straw). Testing?
Can you please explain this "test" which also removed a csd tag without explanation? Also why are you testing things in mainspace? Praxidicae (talk) 20:55, 30 April 2020 (UTC)
- @Praxidicae: Soo...yeah. I guess there's been a lot of profoundly wrongdoing. First of all: The following explanation will surely sound very stupid. But well. So I'll start. I actually wanted to test what effect these "tags" have on the site. Since you can only use them (at least with Twinkle) on articles, I lazily went to a CSD article instead of at least the sandbox. Then quickly select all tags and see what happens. Then I looked and saw: Nothing special happened. wow. Well, and then I wanted to clean up, but that was probably nothing. So I just deleted all the tags on top, but then I also removed the CSD tag. There was something on some other page, but I removed it correctly. (i hope) There were 2 "No Categories" tags at the end, by the way, you missed them, I removed them now. Well, the lesson is, bullshit and exaggeration only leads to trouble. By the way, now in hindsight I think 1 or 2 edit-test warnings would be appropriate. Not that I want them now, just saying. TheImaCow (talk) 06:39, 1 May 2020 (UTC)
Be more careful
Hello, TheImaCow,
I'm looking over your user page and there are quite a few editors who are not happy with your reverts and tagging of pages. Please be sure that you are familiar with policy. It would also helped if you slowed down and didn't edit so rapidly. Mistakes are easy to make when you are doing several edits per minute.
It also would go a long way to creating good will with other editors if you spent as much time on productive edits to articles and other pages as you do on reverts and tagging pages for deletion. Knowing how to contribute positively to the project by adding or improving content helps you know better what edits should be reverted. Just some food for thought. Liz Read! Hallmark Movies
There is no evidence that "Adventures in Love & Babysitting" has ever aired, let alone in the middle of the week when they do not typically premiere new movies. There is no reference given as to why it might have been listed on that date in the first place, making that more suspect than the removal of it. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 209.179.5.124 (talk) 03:43, 2 May 2020 (UTC)

Categories
I noticed you created these category pages:
- Category:Articles containing Biblical Greek-language text
- Category:Articles containing Rangpuri-language text
They should be hidden categories, that is, not visible to readers of articles unless logged in with a user preference to display hidden categories. I do not know anything about language categories, but for your information, the following appears to show what such a page should contain (see its wikitext):
Johnuniq (talk) 09:32, 2 May 2020 (UTC)
- @Johnuniq: I have now added this information as in your example, is that better? TheImaCow (talk) 09:40, 2 May 2020 (UTC)
- As mentioned, I do not know anything about this. I suggest inspecting the documentation at {{Category articles containing non-English-language text}} and asking at its talk page or at WP:VPT. Looking at the wikitext in the Dutch language category shows it has several parameters that are not in your category, so something extra is probably needed. Johnuniq (talk) 10:06, 2 May 2020 (UTC)

A message from Ed6767 about RedWarn
Hello RedWarn tester! I hate to reitterate, but thank you so much for being willing to test RedWarn, I really appreciate it.
In the past few updates, I have added AIV (admin) reporting, a preferences panel, themes, customisation options and made many, many bug fixes and added many features based on your suggestions and feedback.
Unfortunately, recently feedback has run dry.
Even if you do not use RedWarn at the moment, or you do (tysm), I would greatly appreciate feedback of any kind. While I go round Twinkle users, sounding like that broadband salesperson in the mall that nobody ever wants to speak to, I'd like some updated feedback from recent and current users.
Any sort of feedback below would be greately appreciated!
- Your first impressions when you tried RedWarn?
- How have you used RedWarn as time has gone on?
- Would you value customisation features, such as macros or shortcuts, such as adding your own quick revert reasons so the tool can fit your exact editing practices?
- Any suggestions for how I could promote the tool to a wider audience?
- Would you appreciate a more developed and thorough user guide?
- Any theme suggestions?
- Anything you'd like changing?
- Something you've always wanted to see in an anti-vandal tool? (I might add it!)
- RedWarn app?
- A way to introduce Recent Changes patrol to new users to make using RedWarn or other tools less daunting?
- Any bugs, gripes, or things that just really annoy you about RedWarn?

My goal is to create the most user friendly moderation tool, and that's why I need your feedback to help make this truely the most favorable anti-vandal tool. While we will never elliminate vandalism on this site, we can get closer to fighting it quickly and easily.
Many thanks for your continued support. Ed6767 (talk) 00:20, 6 May 2020 (UTC)

Frederick Fisher
This is in regards to your reverting my edits.
The Wikipedia article links to Fisher's service record. I referenced his attestation papers where he enrolled as "Fred" NOT "Frederick" and signed the document as "Fred Fisher". His service documents, except for one occasion refer to him as "Fred".
The Ontario Historical Plaque, which is also linked from the Wikipedia article, spells his name as "Fred".
Under the pandemic the Toronto Public Library allows free use of Ancestry. Using Ancestry I confirmed that "Fred" Fisher's Birth Registration lists his name as "Fred". I would be pleased to forward a copy of the extract but I don't see a way to do that.
All references to "Frederick" Fisher in the Wikipedia article should state "Fred". — Preceding unsigned comment added by Rwscanada (talk • contribs) 20:48, 6 May 2020 (UTC)

Hey. I was just curious why you went from a level 1 straight to a level 4 warning on this IP? I am by no means an expert so perhaps I can learn from your explanation - I thought we do level 1, 2, 3, 4 and then report to AIV unless the edits are exceptionally offensive but is this not the case? Thank you for the change. My first time doing an edit. These two rugby coaches are a class act with Mr. Best coaching the England National team for a period of time. Thank you for ,your message. I am sec of the way of st andrew and I am updating the Wikipedia entry in particular taking into account the feedback I have had on the entry and through our website. Just wanted to thank you for taking the time to edit my categories. Just waiting for Wikipedia to make my page go live and publish it. I do have a verified Google Knowledge Panel and it would be nice to have it all under one search. Do you know more or less the protocol behind all that -- the time frame? I hear 90 days; but is there a shorter time frame or a way to expedite that process? --Joe Herrera (I) (talk) 20:12, 8 May 2020 (UTC) @ Joe Herrera (I)

Hi, ThelmaCow. Since my attempt at pinging you in the edit summary seems to have failed, I'd better note here that I've reverted your revert at Paul Frew. In my opinion, you restored a blatant BLP violation. Yes, it was sourced, but the source was used very strangely, to put it mildly. Bishonen | tålk 01:02, 10 May 2020 (UTC).
Your reverting on City Shrouded in Shadow is very disruptive

- 1: On this page. That's definitely not an attack when I speak my mind and it doesn't match yours.
- 2: The warning on your page. What does it have to do with this? I can explain it again. I've seen your edit with the"See Talk Page" summary. Then I went to the talk page of the article and there was nothing. Then I reversed your edit. If you had just written... I don't know... "See your talk page," then I probably would have gotten to go to the muffin page. But you didn't, and then how would I know?

Stages of involvement Redirect Link
Could you please justify the revert related to suppression of the redirect for "Stages of Involvement"? The current redirect, as described in the discussion of the associated page, is misleading, as this SOI (See provided update of Acronyms) does not belong to DO178B rather to SW (independent of version) and also HW. You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.
Points to note:
- Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
- Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.
If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. Nithintalk 19:52, 13 May 2020 (UTC)

Categories of categories
Hi, regarding these and other similar edits. Please don't leave a category page empty, Wikipedia:Categorization#Category tree organization says
- There is one top-level category, Category:Contents. All other categories are found below this. Hence every category apart from this top one must be a subcategory of at least one other category.
So even if you add no text, you must add at least one category. --Redrose64 🌹 (talk) 16:44, 14 May 2020 (UTC)

About lavash
Hi TheImaCow.
Sorry, can't figure out your original name which may help to guess your nationality/ethnicity.
Why is it important? I shall explain.
If you are armenian, I would not be surprised by your article. Armenian are very famous in stilling famous foods, games, dances, songs, etc. (like a dish "dolma", game "nardy", song "Sari gelin") from other nations and give them their own authority and making absurd attempts to explain their origin by armenian words. Finding out that lavash is Armenian type of bread from armenian resourses is not surprising. Even if author's name is not armenian, they all are hidden armenians or their falsificators.
Lavash is food of many nations, but telling that it is MOST LIKELY (?!) of armenian origin is ridiculous. I remember 30-35 years ago I used to visit my uncle and aunty in Armenia (both are of Azeri turkish ethnicity subsequently fled from Armenia because of armenian aggression) and attended some armenian homes and NONE OF THEM had tandir (special place in the household where lavash is made), where as my aunty was preparing it regularly. And I don't need any literature to proof it: I am sure in what I am saying.
So, please be so kind and correct this false information.
Althouth, if you are armenian, debating with you about that is useless.
Kind regards, V.Hasanov. — Preceding unsigned comment added by V-hasanli (talk • contribs) 15:15, 16 May 2020 (UTC)

"Pbuh" is not vandalism
Hi TheImaCow, please don't revert as vandalism, or leave a vandlism warning template, when someone adds "peace be upon him" to an article, as you did for IP editor 103.70.128.5. Vandalism is intentional and malicious damaging or defacing of Wikipedia. I've left a more appropriate warning about the Manual of Style (template:uw-mos1) pointing them to MOS:PBUH. Could you remove your vandalism warning? Thanks. --IamNotU (talk) 15:54, 17 May 2020 (UTC)

Re Alessandro Curmi
Dear TheImaCow Thank you for contacting me.
Please DO NOT put back my contribution on Alessandro Curmi. I put that in when I was studying how to contribute to Wikipedia and did not know that whatever I wrote would be automatically published. I am still working on that article on Alessandro Curmi and it is meant for publication in a musical journal.
I am finding that contributing to Wikipedia is a rather complicated matter. My principal aim when I decided to do this was to go over those articles on Maltese composers already published and bring them up to date as well as contribute new ones. I thought that whatever I contributed would be gone over by a Wikipedia professional, edited in line with Wikipedia usages and then published.
I am very unsure whether I can make contributions in line with what Wikipedia desires. I do not even know whether you will be receiving this email.

Issue with continued reversing of legitimate changes by ThelmaCow
Heading text
Hello, I have tried editing content but you keep blocking it and reversing the changes, although the information on the current wikipedia page is incorrect (e.g.: the universities and education level), which is highly misleading. Please do not reverse changes without checking the supporting references first, as the page currently has false infromation due to you constantly reversing the changes (as they are legit references). Many thanks.
- @Dennisrtyui: Okay, I must excuse myself. I just saw this edit, and then I reverted it. But you had some edits before this edit, and they were automatically undone. I can't do anything for the second reversal, because it wasn't from me. P.S. You can see your deleted things here, just in case you haven't noticed. :) --TheImaCow (talk) 13:21, 18 May 2020 (UTC)

Speedy deletion page notifications
Hello, TheImaCow,
I noticed with some recent page CSD tagging that you didn't notify the page creator of the tagging. Since you use Twinkle, this is easy to fix.
Go into Wikipedia:Twinkle/Preferences and under the Speedy deletion (CSD) section, under "Notify page creator when tagging with these criteria", make sure you have all of the criteria checked, in this case, especially C1s. Then, Save changes. Then, when you are tagging the empty category page, make sure the Twinkle box has "Notify page creator if possible" checked before you tag the page.
I don't believe it is the default Twinkle setting to have all of the deletion categories selected but once you set up your preferences to have them all selected, you never have to worry about these page creator notifications not happening. Thank you for your work. Liz Read! Talk! 12:39, 20 May 2020 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Truck Racing (video game)
If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Truck Racing (video game) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a real person or group of people that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Ingratis (talk) 18:05, 20 May 2020 (UTC)

I'll decline this, and roll back to that. . Thank you. GedUK 12:16, 22 May 2020 (UTC)

By the way, it's not a big problem that you copied something from another website, you can also write something about the company, it should not be copied one to one. :) --TheImaCow (talk) 14:26, 28 May 2020 (UTC)

References an links?
TheImaCow,
Thanks for the note! This is my first article submission so I would greatly appreciate any guidance you might have!
Couple Questions: 1. Have I set up my links correctly? 2. Are the references set up correctly? Do I need more references? 3. Do I need to mention somewhere that the subject is my grandfather? I've long thought that his associations with Samuel Insull, Franklin Roosevelt and contributions to the publishing industry have warranted an article, but wanted to make my connection clear. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jfokeefe2425 (talk • contribs) 14:56, 30 May 2020 (UTC)
