List of ESPN Major League Soccer personalities

As you've pointed out the list was basically transfered from the main ESPN Major League Soccer page, to its own newly created article in order to free up space (the main point behind the new article in the first place) on the former. Reverted Pickard China page

Hello, my fellow Aquarian!

My edits to the Pickard page were done at the request of the Pickard Collectors Club board of directors. I am a club member and we are sanctioned by the Pickard China company and have been active since 1992. Our club is non-profit and our web page is cross-linked with Picard's. Our edits are simply an attempt to add meaningful content for Wikipedia readers and to make them aware of the club as well as the company.

If you take exception to the modifications please let me know why. I'm a reasonable guy and I'm sure we can work something out.

Cinnamon

What is wrong with posting a link to the our website. We supply a lot of information on the page. Do you see any e-commerce indicia on the page? No, there is none. We are a small plantation and we accept private orders from individuals who ask but it is hardly a business (considering I run a law firm - that is a real business). We do like to supply the public with information on cinnamon and particularly the significant differences between true cinnamon and cassia. We also want the public to know of the very real health benefits of cinnamon. Wikipedia is an information site for the public and publicly editable. We are offering information on cinnamon that is detailed and useful. Have you ever seen a site that is clear on how cinnamon is harvested? How about specific details on grading? Do you assert that none of our information is encylopedic?

Sorry, I made a mistake... I was thinking that you were placing the link as a reference, where it would not be allowed because references must be third party sources. But since it's an external link, it's okay, especially since it has some interesting info that can help the article. I changed the link to go straight to the "about cinammon" page, too. GOCE drive newsletter

Guild of Copy Editors May 2011 backlog elimination drive report

Greetings from the Guild of Copy Editors May 2011 Backlog elimination drive. Thank you for participating!

Participation

There were 63 signups for the drive; of these, 45 participated. Although we did not award a bonus for articles from the Requests page this drive, we are not experiencing lengthy delays in getting the articles processed. Many thanks to editors who have been helping out at the Requests page and by copy editing articles from the backlog.

Progress report

During the month of May we reduced the backlog by approximately 10%, and made remarkable progress on eliminating articles tagged from 2009. There are now only 15 articles left, down from the 415 that were present when the drive started. Since our backlog drives began in May 2010 with 8,323 articles, we have cleared more than 54% of the backlog. A complete list of results and barnstars awarded can be found here. Barnstars will be distributed over the next week. If you enjoyed participating in our event, you may also like to join the Wikification drives, which are held on alternate months to our drives. Their June drive has started.

Coodinator election

The six-month term for our first tranche of Guild coordinators will be expiring at the end of June. We will be accepting nominations for the second tranche of coordinators, who will also serve a six-month term. Nominations will open starting on June 5. For complete information, please have a look at the election page.

LIst of MN state parks

SOrry not to have gotten back to you sooner - busy day IRL. The two things In oticed on a second look were that the history sections still seems a bit sparse, and that Minnehaha Falls Park is discussed in history, but not listed as a former park (in PA at least one park was approved but never funded by the state legislature, and is listed as a former park). Suggestion for WikiProject United States to support WikiProject US State Legislatures

It was recently suggested that WikiProject US State Legislatures might be inactive or semiactive and it might be beneficial to include it in the list of projects supported by WikiProject United States. I have started a discussion on the projects talk page soliciting the opinions of the members of the project if this project would be interested in being supported by WikiProject United States. Any reason?

as to why you removed the timeline from the article on Garfield Hts Ohio? A lot of work went into that and most of the info is a matter of public record. GOCE drive invitation

Greetings from the Guild of Copy Editors

The latest GOCE backlog elimination drive is under way! It began on 1 July and so far 18 people have signed up to help us reduce the number of articles in need of copyediting.

This drive will give a 50% bonus for articles edited from the GOCE requests page. Although we have cleared the backlog of 2009 articles there are still 3,935 articles needing copyediting and any help, no matter how small, would be appreciated.

We are appealing to all GOCE members, and any other editors who wish to participate, to come and help us reduce the number of articles needing copyediting, as well as the backlog of requests. If you have not signed up yet, why not take a look at the current signatories and help us by adding your name and copyediting a few articles. Barnstars will be given to anyone who edits more than 4,000 words, with special awards for the top 5 in the categories: "Number of articles", "Number of words", and "Number of articles of over 5,000 words".

TX jct lists

Just a suggestion, but I'd recommend using two templates: {{jcttop}} and {{jctbtm}} on new junction lists you're creating. The first creates table and the top row, but it also includes some hidden coding to make the tables work for screen readers and other adaptive technologies for readers with disabilities. The second template closes the table and includes the required footer with the distance conversions. (If we didn't do that, the Manual of Style gods would require us to include metric conversions for our milepost numbers.) There is a third template, {{legendRJL}} that does the same as {{jctbtm}}, but it also includes the required color key if a table is using the colored backgrounds. Ok, I don't know if you've worked on any articles that have exit lists yet, or are planning to do so in the near future, but we made a few changes earlier today. In the past, we had {{jctexit}} which worked just like {{jctint}} to make exit lists. It had an |exit= parameter to set the exit number, but it was otherwise identical. Now, if you use {{jctint|exit}} (think of just adding |exit to the name), that template will insert a cell for the exit number in the table. If you use {{jcttop|exit}} to create the table header, it will insert the exit column at the top. This was the same trick {{jctco}} and {{jctbridge}} used to work in exit list tables. The only thing to remember is that if you're going to have the exit column, |exit has to be appended to the template name for every row in the table. Imzadi 1979 → 02:44, 28 July 2011 (UTC)

Major image contribution The National Archives has hundreds of thousands of digitized documents in its holdings. We are working on a bulk upload to Commons of one particular cache of about 123,000 TIFF master files in the next few days! Once uploaded, these will require a massive community effort to help categorize the files on Commons and add them to articles on Wikipedia or transcribe them on Wikisource.	Inclusion in the online catalog We are currently working on a system for including links to pages on Wikimedia projects in the National Archives online catalog. The Wikimedia projects are hosting an increasing number of transcriptions of National Archives documents and high-quality image and video files that are not available through NARA's own site. Links to these Wikimedia pages in the documents' actual catalog records will benefit the end user by providing them access to further resources about the documents, and they will also demonstrate the National Archives commitment to supporting Wikimedians' efforts.

Empty categories

There really shouldn't be empty categories without reason. And there's really no need to save them due to a speedy delete request. You can still go at your own pace to fill the categories, because you can just create the categories when you have something to put into them.
