The Keshen Goodman Public Library in Halfax and WikiProject Nova Scotia will be hosting an edit-a-thon on Saturday, 19 March 2016 focused on creating local articles and Nova Scotia content. All are invited, with no specialized knowledge of the subject or Wikipedia editing experience required. A brief overview of the basics of Wikipedia editing will be given at the start of the edit-a-thon. We will have library resources and a list of suggested topics on hand.

  • Date: Sunday March 19th, 2016
  • Time: Starting at Noon
  • Location: Goodman Public Library on 330 Lacewood Drive; see on Google Maps
  • Event: An edit-a-thon focusing on (but not limited to) Nova Scotia history and local content.
  • What to bring: Your laptop, power adapter, and any reference materials you'd like to work from or share
  • Facebook: Event page
  • Who should attend: Artists, historians, students, teachers, curators, visitors...
    • Experienced or new Wikipedians (We will provide assistance with Wikipedia formatting and syntax)
    • Amateur historians or research pros (We will have a selection of resources available for your use; we will also pull related materials from the Library
