Dawood College of Engineering and Technology (DCET) is a Federal degree awarding institution located in Karachi, Pakistan. Established in 1962, the college is one of Pakistan's finest Engineering institutes.DCET has the honor to be the pioneer in the Chemical,Electronics, Industrial and Metallurgical Engineering disciplines in Pakistan.

The foundation stone of the college was laid by President of Pakistan (Late) Field Marshal Muhammad Ayub Khan in 4 August 1962. The institution was established by Dawood Foundation as Dawood College of Engineering and Technology. The Dawood College houses purpose built two campuses. The institution was established to provide top quality Engineering education to students from every walk of life regardless of their sex and ethical background and the institute still thrives on this policy. Dawood College of Engineering (DCET) remained affiliated with the University Of Karachi, Ned university and Mehran university after which it has been awarded a degree awarding status by the Government of Pakistan, with effect from 31-10-2007.

College conducts an Entry Test for the purpose of Admission. The final merit for admission is composed on combined marks of the HSC ,SSC and Entry test exams.

Renovation continues throughout the college building.New floors are being added to the existing buildings to add new laboratories and new departments.An Elevator has been planned to be installed in the main block.New state of the art lab equipments are constantly being added to the labs,the 750 seated auditorium has been completely renovated.
