The Pallava script was developed under the Pallava dynasty of Southeast India around the 6th century CE.
South Asian Scripts such as Javanese,[1] Mon/Burmese,[2] Khmer,[3] Lanna, Thai[4] and Lao[5] are either direct or indirect derivations from the Pallava script.[6]
