Mass media refers to a diverse array of media technologies that reach a large audience via mediums of communication that are designed to reach the masses of the people, including: (a) broadcast technologies such as film, radio, or television; (b) the Internet and the services comprised by it; (c) physical advertising via billboards, placards, kiosks, signage, and skywriting; and (d) printed materials such as books, newspapers, and periodical literature. Journalism is the collection, editing, and dissemination of news reports and other material of current interest based on facts and supported with proof of evidence, mainly presented through mass media technologies.
