M K B Nagar also known as Magakavi Bharathiyar Nagar is mainly a residential locality in northern part of the metropolitan city of Chennai, Tamil Nadu state, India.

Location and Surroundings

MKB Nagar is located in northern most part of Chennai city. It borders Kodungaiyur to the north, Mullai Nagar to the east, Vyasarpadi to the west. National Highway 5(NH 5) touches this area in south .The Housing Board residences are at MKB Nagar and Weavers Colony , where a lot of saurashtrian live here. There main occupation is Silk Saree weaving.

MKB Nagar Police Station is situated on Central Avenue, has Asstiant commissioner office also.

MKB Nagar BSNL Telephone Exchange. A Bus depot is located where KKD Nagar, MKB Nagar, Vallalar Nagar buses are shedded here.
