Perhaps you folks are thinking of WP:BLOCK notices. Blocks are quite different than topic bans. (and [block notices] should not be removed until the block is lifted or expired) In reviewing the WP:BAN page, I see no mention of it being forbidden to remove a [topic ban] notice once a user has been notified of his or her restriction. I understand the #User pages section to refer to a "Site Ban". If I am in error, feel free to point me/us to the relevant section or policy. — Ched : ? 12:06, 2 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
