The International Federation of Sport Climbing (IFSC) is the international governing body for the sport of competitive climbing, which consists of the disciplines lead climbing, speed climbing, and bouldering. It was founded in Frankfurt on 27 January 2007 by 48 member federations, and is a continuation of the International Council for Competition Climbing, which had been in existence from 1997 to 2007 and was a part of the Union Internationale des Associations d'Alpinisme (UIAA).

IFSC Climbing World Championship

IFSC Sport Climbing World Championships are held biennial. This event determines the male and female world champions in the three disciplines of sport climbing lead, bouldering and speed as well as in para-climbing.[1]

IFSC Climbing Worldcup

The IFSC Climbing Worldcup is a competition held annually. The Worldcup is being awarded at the end of the year after a series of competitions at a number of venues throughout the year. The first World Cup was held under the auspices of UIAA in 1990, World Cups were held under the auspices of IFSC from 2007.

The number of competitions and venues vary from year to year.

IFSC Climbing European Championship

IFSC Sport Climbing European Championships are held biennial in years when World Championships are not held. This event determines the male and female european champions in the three disciplines of sport climbing lead, bouldering and speed.[1]

IFSC Climbing World Youth Championship

IFSC Sport Climbing World Youth Championships are held biennial during the same year as the IFSC Sport Climbing World Championships. This event determines the male and female world youth champions in the three disciplines of sport climbing lead, bouldering and speed as well as in para-climbing.[1]
