  • The longest winning end to a season was achieved by the Los Angeles Galaxy in 1997, who closed the campaign with six straight wins.
  • The longest unbeaten start to a season was achieved by the Los Angeles Galaxy in 2010, who opened the campaign 12 matches unbeaten (with ten wins and 2 draws).
  • The longest unbeaten end to a season was achieved by the Columbus Crew in 2004, who closed the campaign 18 matches unbeaten (with eight wins and 10 draws).
  • The longest road trip a team has played during the regular season was recorded by Sporting Kansas City in 2011. They opened the season with ten straight games on the road due to the completion of Livestrong Sporting Park in the early part of the 2011 season, so the club elected to play its first ten games away, rather than find a temporary venue.
  • The record for longest home stand a team has played during the regular season is shared by the Chicago Fire in 2006 and by Sporting Kansas City in 2011. They played nine consecutive games at home.
  • The highest number of points achieved by a team at home during a regular season was 41 (12–0–5), by Los Angeles Galaxy in 2011.
  • The highest number of points achieved by a team on the road during a regular season was 37 (13–3), by the Los Angeles Galaxy in 1998.
