The sales of arcade games (like massively multiplayer online games) generally cannot be judged using the same criteria as home console or computer games. For arcade games, sales are usually judged by the number of arcade hardware units sold to retail outlets and video arcades, and the amount of revenue generated from quarters used on arcade machines.[197] This list only includes arcade games that have either sold more than 10,000 hardware units or generated a revenue of more than $10 million USD (40 million quarters).
