Faridpur is a town and a nagar panchayat in Bareilly district in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. Faridpur is known for Jari work, Sarrafa (gold and silver jewelry).

As of 2011 India census,[1] Faridpur had a population of 69,700. Males constitute 52% of the population and females 48%. Faridpur has an average literacy rate of 66%, lower than the national average of 74%: male literacy is 67%, while female literacy is 64%. In Faridpur, 15% of the population is under 6.[2]
