Genesis3D is a game engine created by Eclipse Entertainment.[1] It was distributed as free open-source software and later under an open-source license.[2] By 1999, development of the engine was overtaken by WildTangent.[3] The first beta version of the engine was released on July 30, 1998.[4] Release Candidate 1 was shipped on March 2, 1999.[5]
