Pastoral dog

A pastoral dog is any individual dog of any breed or type used for mustering, guarding or otherwise managing livestock.

Specifically, pastoral dog may refer to:

  • Pastoral dog type, any group of dogs of any appearance or heritage used for managing livestock
  • Pastoral Dog Group, any of various dog breeds registered in the Pastoral Group of The Kennel Club (UK) (dogs may be pets and never used on livestock)
