Piraziz is a town and a district of Giresun Province on the Black Sea coast of Turkey.

In the Ottoman Empire period the town was named Piridede-Abdal.

The local economy depends of growing hazelnuts and fishing in the Black Sea. This is a poor district and many people have migrated away to jobs in Turkey's larger cities.

Piraziz itself is a small town of 6,886 people.
