Slovak football clubs in European competitions
Slovak football clubs have participated in European football competitions since 1956. Before 1993 Slovakia was a part of Czechoslovakia, therefore Slovak teams represented this country and did not always have a spot in European competitions.

UEFA coefficient and ranking
For the 2014–15 UEFA competitions, the associations were allocated places according to their 2013 UEFA country coefficients, which take into account their performance in European competitions from 2008–09 to 2012–13. In the 2013 rankings used for the 2014–15 European competitions, Slovakia's coefficient points total is 14.208. After earning a score of 1.500 during the 2012–13 European campaign, Slovakia is ranked by UEFA as the 26th best association in Europe out of 54 - down one place from 48th the previous season.

Partizani Tirana replaced Skënderbeu Korçë in the 2016–17 UEFA Champions League second qualifying round and Slovan Bratislava proceeded directly to the UEFA Europa League second qualifying round, after Skënderbeu Korçë was excluded by UEFA for match-fixing.[19]
