The Bachelor is an American dating reality television series created for ABC by Mike Fleiss. It is hosted by Chris Harrison. The series is produced by Next Entertainment and Warner Horizon Television, and revolves around a single bachelor who starts with a pool of romantic interests from whom he is expected to select a wife. During the course of the season, the bachelor eliminates candidates, culminating in a marriage proposal to his final selection. The participants travel to romantic and exotic locations for their adventures, and the conflicts in the series, both internal and external, stem from the elimination-style format of the show.

As of March 12, 2019, 239 episodes of The Bachelor have aired, including 12 specials, concluding the twenty-third season. On May 10, 2019, ABC renewed the series for a twenty-fourth season, that is scheduled to air in 2020.[1]
