Old none review

This is an old none review article http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/8769531 Thus removed again per WP:MEDRS. --Doc James (talk · contribs · email) 16:44, 16 December 2011 (UTC)

The content that you added to the article on Arnold Schwarzenegger has been removed because it was not in accordance to our policy on biographies of living persons. Please discuss further changes on the talk page. Tenacious editing and continuous violations of Wikipedia's BLP policy will result in block. This is your first and final warning. — Nearly Headless Nick {C} 21:29, 18 February 2012 (UTC)

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia!

I am leaving this message here to inform you that a recent edit done on University of Western Ontario have been reverted. While The University of Western Ontario is not located on the southwestern-most tip of the province, it is located in Middlesex County, which is typically associated with the regional subdivision of Southwestern Ontario (refer to Statistic Canada's subdivisions here). Also note that southeastern Ontario is typically used to refer to the northeastern sections of Ontario's Quebec City–Windsor Corridor (generally from Kingston to Ottawa).

Again, welcome! Leventio (talk) 15:52, 7 May 2012 (UTC)

Hi, thanks for the welcome (although I've been contributing regularly under this username since 2008). Also thanks for your helpful comment and especially the reference from the Ministry of Finance of Ontario showing the local language peculiarities (London, Ontario is in the eastern third of Ontario but Ontarians (probably eastern Ontarians?) call the area "Southwestern Ontario"). I've added a new edit to University of Western Ontario with your reference to explain the situation to the Wikipedia readers who don't live in Ontario, Canada. Thanks again! Non-free rationale for File:Shrine of Amphitrite at USMM Kings Point Academy.gif

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Shrine of Amphitrite at USMM Kings Point Academy.gif. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 11:22, 28 August 2012 (UTC)

You have stated TWICE that a review of the literature was removed. Can you please state which review this was? Also please look at WP:MEDMOS Doc James (talk · contribs · email) (if I write on your page reply on mine) 19:05, 5 September 2014 (UTC).

Hmmm. Poster has accepted some changes but reversed and disputes others such as a subsections or bolding for common multiple sclerosis#Types such as relapsing-remitting MS. I will have to go through the changes individually and see what the controversy is. This will have to wait til I have time. Facts707 (talk) 14:52, 16 September 2014 (UTC)
OK, back again - the text removed by the user was:
The primary progressive subtype occurs in approximately 10–20% of individuals with MS, with no remission after the initial symptoms.[1][2] It is characterized by progression of disability from onset, with no, or only occasional and minor, remissions and improvements.[3] The usual age of onset for the primary progressive subtype is later than of the relapsing-remitting subtype. It is similar to the age that secondary progressive usually begins in relapsing-remitting MS, around 40 years of age.[4]

Hi Facts just thought I would drop by and let you know that I've been expanding the List of individuals executed in a sub-page to include individuals prior to statehood, then from statehood til the de facto moratorium on capital punishment. Because the lists are long I plan to create a separate article for the tables much like how other states list are handled. They still need major work before they can be pushed to the main space and the format of the tables are in are not set in stone. If you would like to take a look you're welcome to work on them yourself.--Dcheagletalkcontribs 20:40, 14 September 2015 (UTC)

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Speedy deletion nomination of Crevise

Hello Facts707,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Crevise for deletion, because it seems to be inappropriate for a variety of reasons. For more details please see the notice on the article.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Onel5969 TT me 17:39, 15 November 2016 (UTC)

Another user has restored "Crevise" to a redirect to Crevice (common misspelling) as per my initial creation (thanks). An intervening user had edited the page to describe an apparently non-notable Indian software company. Case closed. Facts707 (talk) 07:16, 21 August 2017 (UTC)

⚠

Thanks for uploading File:Subaru G4e electric concept car (front).jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 17:45, 8 June 2017 (UTC)

Mary I of England

Information icon Greetings. Some of your recent edits do not appear to be civil toward other editors. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to Wikipedia, please take some time to (re-?) familiarize yourself with our policies and guidelines. In particular, it's relevant that WP:CIVIL says, "Editors are expected to be reasonably cooperative, ... to work within the scope of policies, and to be responsive to good-faith questions." You can find information about these at our welcome page which also provides further information about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you may leave a message on my talk page. It is considered rude to write in upper case, because it is akin to aggressive shouting.

Stop icon

Your recent editing history at Mary I of England shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See BRD for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. Celia Homeford (talk) 11:05, 21 August 2017 (UTC)

My apologies, I certainly didn't mean to sound uncivil. Thank you for your good faith edits. I was just trying to clarify that I meant the undoing of the English Reformation by Mary was important enough to be in the lead paragraph rather than just the lead section. I also stated in both edit summaries that edits were "in progress". I realize upper case is considered overbearing, but didn't think that use in an edit summary to emphasize a point would be considered "uncivil". Also I certainly didn't mean to start an "edit war" - can you please explain which parts of my edit(s) you disagree with and we can go from there? I think you seem to accept the content but object to its placement? Thanks and yours faithfully, Facts707 (talk) 11:17, 21 August 2017 (UTC)
Thank you. I was only concerned about the repetition, which you have now sorted. I think it's fine now. Regards, Celia Homeford (talk) 12:25, 21 August 2017 (UTC)

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited North American river otter, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page WFLA (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Notice

The article Settlement of the Americas (disambiguation) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Redundant disambiguation page left over from a page move that lasted less than a day. There are no incoming links and with (disambiguation) in the title it isn't a plausible search term. Disambiguation between the three articles list is handled sufficiently with hatnotes.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. – Joe (talk) 07:39, 29 July 2018 (UTC)

Avetik Chalabyan article up for deletion

Hi Facts707! About 2 years ago I wrote a biography of a living person article [Chalabyan]. The article has been recently marked as up for deletion. Any advice on why this might be happening, how to address it or what to improve would really be appreciated. Obviously, your vote as an experienced editor on Wiki would really go a long way to make sure it's not deleted.

Thanks in advance for your attention to the matter.

Alice Ananian (talk) 14:44, 8 October 2018 (UTC)

Hi Alice, although I'm not familiar with Chalabyan I will post on your talk page some general thoughts. Cheers, Facts707 (talk) 15:06, 8 October 2018 (UTC)

An article you recently created, Capital punishment in Minnesota, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Requested move 24 June 2019

I am speaking here as an experianced editor not an administrator. In Talk:German-occupied Europe#Requested move 24 June 2019, you need to change your Support" to "Support Comment" because otherwise it could be seen as a bad faith attempt to make it appear as the proposed move has more support than it does. You also need to reply to the post directly below stating what you have done, so their comment still makes sence.

Usually if someone wants to support their proposal they do so as the first post:

  • Support as nominator ...

but this is unnecessary in most RM discussions, because unlike an RfC the initial proposal does not have to be neutral.

-- PBS (talk) 17:42, 1 July 2019 (UTC)

Thanks, PBS - that's a very good point and I updated the talk page with "Comment" as you described. I was thinking of just moving the whole comment to the initial proposal but the comment was quite long and looked like it would overwhelm the proposal. Cheers, Facts707 (talk) 15:27, 5 July 2019 (UTC)
Having made the change without strike out, you have to add a comment under user:Srnec's stating you the change you have made, otherwise the commment by Srnec makes no sense. See WP:REDACTED PBS (talk) 07:30, 6 July 2019 (UTC)
Another good point. Done and thanks. Facts707 (talk) 07:37, 6 July 2019 (UTC)

It is not up to an involved editor particularly the proposer to request an extention or close it is up to the closer to decide, as you have a clear conflict of interest. -- PBS (talk) 07:38, 6 July 2019 (UTC)

Thanks for your input, but as stated when undoing your revert, the move request was never closed. As stated at Wikipedia:Requested_moves#Backlog: "Elapsed listings fall into the backlog after 24 hours. Consider relisting 8-day-old discussions with minimal participation." A fairly brief discussion among a half-dozen editors on a level 5 importance article is what I would call "minimal participation". Additionally, calling for more discussion is not edit-warring. Facts707 (talk) 07:50, 6 July 2019 (UTC)

The reason for this is because if you request an extension if a closer decides to extend, they are open to a critisism that they are following your request and not making their own decision based on their reading of the debate (even if they have ignored your request and have only mad the decision on their own judgment). -- PBS (talk) 07:47, 6 July 2019 (UTC)

In response to your previous comment here. If I were not involved and was closing this particular request as an administrator I would have closed it as "No concensus No Move", so when you write "is what I would call" you are seeing things with a bias which is why it is not appropriate for you to make the request for an externsion. -- PBS (talk) 08:27, 6 July 2019 (UTC)

Google Code-In 2019 is coming - please mentor some documentation tasks!

Hello,

Google Code-In, Google-organized contest in which the Wikimedia Foundation participates, starts in a few weeks. This contest is about taking high school students into the world of opensource. I'm sending you this message because you recently edited a documentation page at the English Wikipedia.

I would like to ask you to take part in Google Code-In as a mentor. That would mean to prepare at least one task (it can be documentation related, or something else - the other categories are Code, Design, Quality Assurance and Outreach) for the participants, and help the student to complete it. Please sign up at the contest page and send us your Google account address to google-code-in-admins@lists.wikimedia.org, so we can invite you in!

From my own experience, Google Code-In can be fun, you can make several new friends, attract new people to your wiki and make them part of your community.

If you have any questions, please let us know at google-code-in-admins@lists.wikimedia.org.

Thank you!

Information icon Hello, I'm Hulmem. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Salute, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at the tutorial on citing sources. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. hulmem (talk) 05:15, 10 March 2021 (UTC)

Alright, but I note the first three editable sections of the article only have one ref combined and that is to the South African National Defence Force. Are you going to be removing those contributions as well or at least adding "need cite"? Also not giving a good faith editor a chance to add refs before reverting seems a bit harsh unless the material is controversial or involves living persons. OMS

Hey man - just curious do you have any experience with OMS outside of Wikipedia (and if you'd rather not disclose, that's fine too). Been looking to collaborate a bit on that article if there's interest. - Scarpy (talk) 07:04, 14 March 2021 (UTC)
