[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but your recent edit removed maintenance templates from 21 Guns Live EP. When removing maintenance templates, please be sure to either resolve the problem that the template refers to, or give a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, as your removal of this template has been reverted. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia, and if you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. There is no way articles with 0 sources establish notability - please stop removing notability templates without addressing them. Thank you. Rehevkor ✉ 10:54, 26 October 2009 (UTC)
- You're forgetting that an article being tagged for notability it doesn't mean it's not notable - it just needs the notability established through sources. Unsourced stubs with 0 sources simply have not established their notability - if there's inherited notability in specific guide lines (such as studio albums only for bands that are notable per WP:NM) you should mention them in the edit summary rather than just "pass"ing them for whatever arbitrary reason. If you consider my comment "sarky" then I apologise, I was simply pointing out the obvious. And Afd does not override any notability issues - if the community decides something is notable sources would have been provided and would need to be added to the article before the maintenance temple can be removed. I admit I was overzealous in referting, but simply citing the how they're inherently notable in the edit summary would have avoided all this. If you consider my actions "moronic" then I suggest you read WP:CIVIL before continuing this. Rehevkor ✉ 16:22, 26 October 2009 (UTC)

A few acts
[edit]Any case you could write Factories Act 1937, Holidays with Pay Act 1937 and Housing Act 1938? I'm rewriting Neville Chamberlain and these were some of his domestic achievements as PM. Not that he is known for that, it is a rather brief section!--Wehwalt (talk) 14:08, 30 October 2009 (UTC)
- Thanks. There may be a couple more acts, will keep you posted. I've mostly written the section involving Bonar Law in the NC article, you might want to have a look. Do your sources on BL mention what I read in one Chamberlain book, that a friend of Bonar Law later stated that Bonar Law told him that if Neville had had more experience at the time of the resignation, that BL would have recommended to the King that he send for NC? Also what is your view of the use of the word "Unionist" rather than "Conservative" for that era?--Wehwalt (talk) 20:38, 30 October 2009 (UTC)
- Also, do let me know if I can review the Law article, etc etc. I have listed Chamberlain at GAN even though it is not really ready, as the wait is long there. I'll keep you posted on progress. Right now, the article is done up to 1924, and most of his premiership (except the Irish part) is also done. I'm hoping to have it complete in two weeks.--Wehwalt (talk) 23:30, 30 October 2009 (UTC)
- I do have a GA reviewer for Chamberlain. Let me know when you are ready to list Law there, though. They are interred next to each other at Westminster Abbey, perhaps we can pull them through all this process together.--Wehwalt (talk) 11:30, 3 November 2009 (UTC)

The one who instructed me
[edit]Hello there,
Glad to have you in with the discussion too! It's nice when everyone is trying to help me!
Well, if you insist, the person who said I was to upload the images and then wait for his kind assistance to solve the copyright issues is 95jb14. No name has been presented to me so that is all I can give you.
It may turn out that there has been a misunderstanding between him/her and me, of this I am aware. However, my concern is not to have anyone framed incase rules have been unintentionally broken, but simply to get on with the process and have my article completed for inclusion on Wikipedia.
About what you say on the subject of copyright I was totally unaware of these regulations working that way, so thanks for letting me know! By this I can now also understand that elsewhere on the web where these pictures have a tendency to appear, laws have been broken when the items in question have been copied and paisted without being authorized.
Kdkwinana (talk) 11:27, 3 November 2009 (UTC)
- To clarify, I am Kdkwinana's adopter and yes I did tell the above user that I would sort out the images' copyright but I also told him to tell me when he/she had uploaded them straight away. He/She didn't do that and it was only the next day when I fixed a problem for him that I had reallised he/she had uploaded several images. By this time I edited elsewhere and was going to work on the situation today (the 3rd). However, I had discovered two messages left on my page today by the above user asking for help. I have now instructed him to ask for details from the owners of the images he uploaded. I appreciate that I should have placed a tag, copyright or whatever last night but I didn't. It should also be made clear that I have specified on my Apopter's info, plain and clear that I am around in the evenings, but not rarely during the day and finally, I have given several very useful links to this user and this is a quote I take from an instruction I gave him/her 'I think that providing the images meet the right copyright statuses (see Wikipedia:Copyrights) then that would certainly help the article.' 95jb14 (talk) 20:36, 3 November 2009 (UTC).
- In hindsight that is true and I know that but then Hindsight is a Beautiful Thing. I made a mistake, but hay it's my first time, I just hope it works out... Bye, 95jb14 (talk) 20:41, 3 November 2009 (UTC).

Notability issues
[edit]Hi Ironholds. I haven't contacted you for a while but keep track of your impressive editing. Could you have a look at these three articles: Charles Devereux, 19th Viscount Hereford, Sir Christopher Nugent, 6th Baronet and Frederick Ponsonby, Viscount Duncannon, all created by User:Flaming Ferrari. I don't know if they're friends of his but they are all graduates of the University of East Anglia, like the user himself. Can't see how they would be notable in any way. I have tried to redirect them previously and had another go a few days back. FF have then reverted my edits without explanation (although the article on Nugent still redirects to Nugent Baronets - don't know if he has missed this). Could you have a go at redirecting the articles on Duncannon and Hereford or propose them for deletion. Regards, Tryde (talk) 10:51, 8 November 2009 (UTC)
- I have redirected the articles on Hereford and Duncannon for a third time. I will let you know if my changes are reverted. Tryde (talk) 12:13, 8 November 2009 (UTC)
- I tried to have a discussion with FF back in July (as shown here), but he did not reply. A few days ago I noticed that he had retired and shamelessly hovered over him like a vulture, thinking here's a chance to get this sorted without a lot of fuss! Unfortunately he apparently still keeps a hawkish eye over his contributions and wasn't going to let this pass. I am aware of the three revert rule so if there any further developments I will let you know. Regards, Tryde (talk) 17:54, 8 November 2009 (UTC)
You are probably aware that your redirect of Rupert Onslow, Viscount Cranley has been reverted by FF. Is John Boyle, 14th Earl of Cork a notable person? Member of House of Lords 1995-1999, spoke once. Tryde (talk) 10:43, 11 November 2009 (UTC)
