No need for caption everywhere

Hello. I am here to tell you that there’s no need for caption in all articles. Some articles are good with caption like Shakib Al Hasan but some articles like Liton Das is good without caption. I hope you understand. Thank you! 👉Chynapras👈 (talk) 07:26, 21 July 2021 (UTC)

Hi. Please DO NOT update this until after the teams have been confirmed when the toss has taken place. Thanks. Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 10:01, 22 July 2021 (UTC)

Oh! Thanks! But, is there any problem if I update this in players? Tajwar.thesuperman (talk) 10:07, 22 July 2021 (UTC)

You are still updating this for people who are not playing. Please stop updating this in the infbox, otherwise it could be viewed as disruption. Thanks. Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 11:05, 23 July 2021 (UTC)

I'm really so sorry. I actually take this information from various reliable sources. For example, Cricbuzz, ESPNcricinfo etc. Can you tell me, where can I get this information? I would benefit if you could help me. Thanks. tHeSuPaManTaJ( ͝° ͜ʖ͡°)ᕤ | gossip 11:47, 23 July 2021 (UTC)

You've had multiple warnings about this now, yet you continue to update this with incorrect information. How do you know more than 10 hours before the game starts (if it starts), that Walsh WILL play? I recommned you stop editing this field on all infoboxes, as if you continue, I'll have no option but to request that your account is blocked for disruption. Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 08:37, 24 July 2021 (UTC)

Yes, you have to stop updating before the match starts. You are doing it in every article. You should really stop it as instructed by Lugnuts. Thanks! 👉Chynapras👈 (talk) 19:13, 25 July 2021 (UTC)

No man. Lugnuts doesn't edit beforehand. I don't agree with you. He edits only after the toss takes place. Anyways, it's good that you have stopped doing it. Otherwise, you could had been blocked as said by Lugnuts. Thanks. 👉Chynapras👈 (talk) 19:46, 25 July 2021 (UTC)

Hi

Hello, fellow young countryman. You seem to be new in Wikipedia. Remember to become familar with all the policies and rules in the Wiki to avoid getting into trouble. I just want to request to you to edit more in Bangladesh related articles as we do not have enough editors from Bangladesh to maintain the articles. Anyways, I currently live in Canada and my timetable is messed. Dont worry if I respond to your message at odd times. Thanks. Human (talk) 00:38, 30 July 2021 (UTC)

Hi A Simple Human,
Yeah! I'm new to Wikipedia. I joined Wikipedia on 10th July in this year. I edit articles for cricketers from all over the world. No problem! From now on I will edit all the articles! By the way, are you from Bangladesh?

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited B A F Shaheen College Kurmitola, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Usman Shahid moved to draftspace

An article you recently created, Usman Shahid, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). Speedy deletion nomination of Samson Awiah

Hello, Tajwar.thesuperman,

Welcome to Wikipedia! I edit here too, under the username John B123 and I thank you for your contributions.

I wanted to let you know, however, that I have tagged an article that you started, Samson Awiah, for deletion, because a consensus decision previously decided that it wasn't suitable for inclusion in the encyclopedia. If you wish to restore a page deleted via a deletion discussion, please use the deletion review process instead, rather than reposting the content of the page.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top. If the page is already deleted by the time you come across this message and you wish to retrieve the deleted material, please contact the deleting administrator.

For any further query, please leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|John B123}}. And, don't forget to sign your reply with ~~~~ . Thanks!

@Jonesey95: Hi. Thanks for letting me know. So from now on I think
<div class="center" style="width:auto; margin-left:auto; margin-right:auto;">...</div>
should be used instead of <center>...</center> and <p>...</p> should be used instead of <font>...</font>. Isn't it? ➤ Tajwar – thesupermaN!【Click to Discuss】 04:12, 2 September 2021 (UTC)
No; look at the diff. In general, use <span>...</span> instead of <font>...</font>. <center>...</center> is a little different, because the way you center text or other objects depends based on the context. For text, I find it easiest to use {{center}}. – Jonesey95 (talk) 13:59, 2 September 2021 (UTC)

Hello, Tajwar.thesuperman. I want you to know that I have "protected" this talk page so that you can't move it again. Our talk pages have to named in a certain way - that is a Wikipedia rule. It has to be titled as "User name:Whateveryourusernameis." For you, the name has to be "User talk:Tajwar.thesuperman." For me, it has to be "User talk:MelanieN". Please accept this and do not try to move it again. -- MelanieN (talk) 01:39, 4 September 2021 (UTC)
@GeoffreyT2000 and @MelanieN,
Why are there so many rules in Wikipedia? Nothing can be done independently! ➤ Tajwar – thesupermaN!【Click to Discuss】 05:37, 4 September 2021 (UTC)
"Rules" like this are simply for consistency. In this case it's so that every user talk page will be clearly recognized as a user talk page, and whose page it is. We are here to edit and improve articles, not to get into futile wars about what to call a page. I'm glad to see you have shifted your attention to improving articles. -- MelanieN (talk) 17:53, 4 September 2021 (UTC)

Doing WP:BEFORE before an AfD nomination

Even if an article does not have references, please do WP:BEFORE before you nominate it for deletion. For organizations in Bangladesh and other Bengali-speaking areas, you need to search for the Bengali name as well. Otherwise, you risk wasting the time of people who participate at AfD. I am thinking in particular of the schools in Dhaka that you nominated for deletion. Please try to find Bengali-language references so that those article will not be deleted. Notice

The article Fazlur Rashid has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Multiple newspapers reprint a press release, well meaning but misguided novice creates a permastub from it. Governments have thousands of authorities, boards, centres, commissions, councils, departments, directorates, divisions, etc. Not every civil servant who has ever headed one is notable, see WP:WHYN.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Animal (2022 film) moved to draftspace. Accepted by blocked editor.

An article you recently created, Animal (2022 film), is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Without arguing about if you should be creating AfD's for a namespace you are blocked in, you should not be using the {{Edit protected}} template for non-protected pages. You could use the {{Edit request}} template for this case. — xaosflux Talk 16:39, 9 October 2021 (UTC)

Slow down

I believe the first page you created was about your school. Then you created a slew of other school articles. They have not fared well. They were nominated for deletion and began to be deleted on 20 September. On 22 Septmeber B A F Shaheen College Kurmitola was deleted, then refunded to you as Draft:B A F Shaheen College Kurmitola.

Behavioral guideline Wikipedia:Do not disrupt Wikipedia to illustrate a point says, if someone nominates one of your favorite articles for deletion, do not nominate another similar article for deletion for the same reason. But that's what you did, nominating 9 schools or colleges in Bangladesh for deletion between 21 and 23 September. When someone suggested how to find sources to improve one, you replied that you didn't want to improve it, you wanted to delete it. You aren't wrong that many articles need to be deleted, but you have been too hasty and failed to first determine whether the articles could be improved. So far 4 of them have been deleted, 1 kept, 1 is leaning keep, 1 is leaning redirect, and there is no consensus on 2. Overall, the number of AfDs where your !vote matched the result is just 43.8%, which shows a poor understanding of when to delete an article.

You should have learned from your experience, but today you've nominated another 10 Bangladeshi school/college/university articles for deletion, all within the space of about half an hour. It's hard to believe you had time to do a proper WP:BEFORE on these topics. Somewhere, I don't remember where, there's a guideline or essay about not flooding AfD with nominations. I think it's particularly about not nominating lots of one editor's articles at the same time, but the principle also applies to not overwhelming any deletion sorting category. A limited number of volunteers participate in these discussions, and it's courteous to spread out nominations so that everyone has time to do their own research and give each topic due consideration. --Worldbruce (talk) 07:59, 10 October 2021 (UTC)

Arix Speedy deletion

Hello, I am still quite new here and first article is already deleted very quickly. Disappointing. I am not on Wikipedia 24x7 and therefore can reply only now. I read the manuals about Notability and the like and provided significant, independent, reliable, secondary sources. The company is listed on LSE. And similar companies do have Wikipedia articles in English. I saw that in 2010 there was already a speedy deletion of an article named Arix, I didn't find out what that was about (would be interested to know, can someone help me there?), but it cannot have been about this company as it exists only since 2016.

https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vorlage:Infobox_Arch%C3%A4ologische_St%C3%A4tte

So what was really the reason for Speedy Deletion? Should I have provided more information in the Comments when posting the article? Or is it solely because of the supposed "promotionality"? I read somewhere now that this is not a sufficient reason for deletion if it can be corrected. And I really wonder what exactly you considered "promotional" about this article? Which SENTENCE or which WORD? Or what was missing? I really need to know because I would like to continue to contribute to Wikipedia and also create new articles if I stumble on a topic that is not available yet.

What I did was just was looking for sources like Reuters and others and used all encyclopaedic information available there. I left out any information that was non-encylopaedic and just about the short-term ups and downs. I am interested in economical issues and recently with the pandemic have started to get interested in the area of biotech on which I didn't know much about before. This specific company Arix to be honest I have never heard of until a few days ago. But when reading about similar companies who already have Wikipedia articles, I stumbled upon this company and wanted to read its Wikipedia article - but it didn't exist yet, even though the notability of the company was there. It's a young company, started only in 2016.

I would be really thankful for input what to do better next time. And is it really out of question to revive the Arix article? With which reasoning?

--Cucina11 (talk) 13:59, 12 October 2021 (UTC)

@Cucina11: Hi. Welcome to Wikipedia. I'm so sorry that your first article was deleted. I don't know what is the about of the 2010 article. Because I'm not an administrator. I can't see deleted articles. But the article was deleted because it had no explanation of it's subject's significance (real person, animal, organization, or web content). Which meets A7 criteria of speedy deletion. By the way, there is no problem with notability in your article. But the article meet with WP:G11 criteria of speedy deletion. You can read this guideline's point no. 5. Your article's some sentence was advertising. But I can't remember which sentences were advertising. I've said that I'm not an administrator. So I can't see deleted articles. Yes, you're welcome to create articles on Wikipedia! Wikipedia needs editors like you. To create better, unique articles, you can see Wikipedia's all guidelines. Which you can find on WP:LGL. I was also a new editor. I've created 53 pages. And 23 was deleted! But I didn't give up. I hope you’ll also not give up. Thanks.  ||  Orbit Wharf  💬 16:47, 12 October 2021 (UTC)

i added more information and i hope that it is according to the guidelines.

unfortunately the only knowledge i have about them is from my own findings & observations about the games & the only information available about their changes & updates come from the game's themselves on their cpmplementary files , or their project threads & youtube videos about them.

i don't know how else to expand the article, but i hope it is a nice start. thanks 2806:103E:1C:9F8:60D3:5FD9:E213:88DE (talk) 18:08, 13 October 2021 (UTC)

@2806:103E:1C:9F8:60D3:5FD9:E213:88DE: I'm again sorry for the mistake! Yeah, this is a nice start. But the article needs reliable, secondary, independent sources, significant coverage and presumed. Now a question is what is sources? Sources, also known as, References. See WP:Citing sources. What is source or reference, how to cite them is summarized here. By the way, what is reliable, secondary, independent sources, significant coverage and presumed is written here. And if the sources reliable, secondary, independent sources, significant coverage and presumed then an article meets with notability guideline. But if not, the article doesn't meet with the guideline. So, first add some reliable, secondary, independent sources, significant coverage and presumed sources. If not, your article won't be accepted. And there is also some many more guidelines which you can WP:LGL.

Could you please give me an explainable reason of why did you move my article to the Draft?? It's well explained, it's already completed, it's derivative of a main article (the tournament itself)... Why did you move it? Why??!! --Pablito064 (talk) 02:43, 15 October 2021 (UTC)

@Pablito064: The article doesn't meet with general notability guideline. Because the article has only 1 source and it is not reliable, independent and secondary according to the general notability guideline. An article needs reliable, independent and secondary sources in significant coverage. But if not, the article will be moved to draft or nominated for AfD. I could nominate it for AfD. But I didn't. I hope that now I could explain.  ||  Orbit Wharf  💬 05:45, 15 October 2021 (UTC)

Mission Cinderella moved to draftspace

An article you recently created, Mission Cinderella, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. Mission Cinderella draftified.

Please do not restore this draft to mainspace, and do not try to game the system by blanking the draft page after moving a draft.

The film may or may not be notable, but in any case the sourcing is rather weak (take this one, for instance), and there are duplicates of the same press releases, presented as different sources (e.g. [1] and [2], and [3] and [4]). And the bit about the name, "Previously, Mission Cinderella was tentatively called as 'Production 41' as Pooja Entertainment's production number 41.[11] In August 2021, Kumar told that the film was tentatively called as 'Cinderella'.[12][13] Finally, the film named as 'Mission Cinderella'." is supported by sources that say the exact opposite. The sources do not say that the film was going to be called "Production 41", and they state that "Mission Cinderella" was a reported "tentative" name, but Kumar had said that it would be called "Cinderella". Hence, the article, if it is created, should not be at Mission Cinderella unless and until that name is actually confirmed. --bonadea contributions talk 12:11, 22 October 2021 (UTC)

@Bonadea: I'm sure that now the film is notable. There are various reliable source which says that the film is titled 'Mission Cinderella', including Zee News, Destmartini etc. I've removed the naming part from the article. There is a bit confusion in the part. So, can I move it to mainspace now? Because review takes very long time. I want to do it instantly.  ||  Orbit Wharf 12:53, 22 October 2021 (UTC)
Hmm? The Zee5 source was in the removed paragraph. It was published in July (and the source saying "Earlier reports also suggested that the film is being called Mission Cinderella. Well, Akshay has now confirmed that the title of his next film with Tewari is Cinderella, not Mission Cinderella." is from August), it says "as per the latest scoop, the film is titled ‘Mission Cinderella’", and that text links to a 404 page, so it in fact very far from being a reliable source. The desimartini source is explicitly reporting a third-party rumour – it says "A source quoted by Bollywood Hungama said, "It's titled Mission Cinderella"", and in any case it was published in June.
And the very poor sourcing is still an issue. Feel free to submit the draft for review, but it probably wouldn't be accepted if it were reviewed today. Why the hurry? Please do not move it to mainspace; instead, take the time it takes to actually find reliable sources, remove the duplicate sources, remove sources such as Bollywoodlife which are listed as sources to avoid in Wikipedia:WikiProject_Film/Indian_cinema_task_force#Guidelines_on_sources, make sure that the press releases are clearly marked as such, and so on. Then you can submit it for review. --bonadea contributions talk 16:10, 22 October 2021 (UTC)
Notice

The article Musfiq R. Farhan has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

WP:TOOSOON, non notable TV actor. Most sources are interview and trivial in regional newspaper

Apologies, but I accidentally reverted your edit at AN/I

Through some strange glitch, I appear to have made a very fucked-up edit on AN/I which erased tons of comments and sections at random; this edit, which you made right after mine, was reverted (that's the only way I could think to fix it before it got even more messed up). I offer my apologies! jp×g 04:33, 26 October 2021 (UTC)

@JPxG No problem! Can I again add my edits? Thanks.  regards, Orbit Wharf  💬  |  📝 04:35, 26 October 2021 (UTC)

Poojai

Hi, you undid my edit. The last three cast members in the film were wrong, so I wanted to remove them. Thank you. — Preceding unsigned comment added by DareshMohan (talkcontribs) 06:20, 26 October 2021 (UTC)

@DareshMohan Hi. I've made some mistakes. Nithiin is a cast member of the film as per as http://www.teluguabroad.com/actor-nithiin-crush-shruti-haasan/. But Andrea Jeremiah, Disha Pandey and Kiara Advani is not. Because no source says that they are cast member of the film. So I've removed them from the cast section. And Now looking good! Thanks.  regards, Orbit Wharf  💬  |  📝 06:28, 26 October 2021 (UTC)

--Thanks. Actually I have seen the film. Based on that source Nithin (a Telugu actor who only comes in Telugu movies) came to the release of the dubbed Telugu version (called Pooja)'s audio release launch as a chief guest (which is a promotional event). Andrea Jeremiah came in a song in the movie as per https://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/entertainment/tamil/movies/news/andrea-to-shake-a-leg-with-vishal-in-poojai/articleshow/34735491.cms?. — Preceding unsigned comment added by DareshMohan (talkcontribs) 06:34, 26 October 2021 (UTC)

@DareshMohan Yeah, now Andrea Jeremiah is also a cast member.  regards, Orbit Wharf  💬  |  📝 06:42, 26 October 2021 (UTC)

Speedy deletion tagging

Don't tag drafts in non-English languages like Draft:El avance en medicina y sabiduría as G1- patent nonsense. That tag you used clearly says that it does not include poor writing, coherent vandalism and hoaxes (G3), coherent material not written in English, badly translated material, etc. It's coherant text in Spanish, so should be tagged with Template:Not English. If you don't know how to use speedy deletion tags properly, don't use them and let someone else do it. Joseph2302 (talk) 11:22, 26 October 2021 (UTC)

@Joseph2302 Which languages should not be speedy deleted?  regards, Orbit Wharf  💬  |  📝 11:35, 26 October 2021 (UTC)

If they are written in any foreign language, then they are not "patent nonsense", and so can't be speedy deleted that way. Joseph2302 (talk) 12:16, 26 October 2021 (UTC)
@Joseph2302: Oh! Thank you so much. By the way, is there are any problem with speedy Deletion of mine?  regards, Orbit Wharf  💬  |  📝 12:18, 26 October 2021 (UTC)

Deletion discussion about Pathan (film)

Hello, Orbit Wharf, and welcome to Wikipedia. I edit here too, under the username Coderzombie, and I thank you for your contributions.

I wanted to let you know, however, that I've started a discussion about whether an article that you created, Pathan (film), should be deleted, as I am not sure that it is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia in its current form. Your comments are welcome at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Pathan (film).

You might like to note that such discussions usually run for seven days and are not ballot-polls. And, our guide about effectively contributing to such discussions is worth a read. Last but not least, you are highly encouraged to continue improving the article; just be sure not to remove the tag about the deletion nomination from the top.

If you have any questions, please leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|Coderzombie}}. And, don't forget to sign your reply with ~~~~ . Thanks!

Arix speedy deletion follow-up

Thank you for your kind comments, inputs and links to a Newbie: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk:Orbit_Wharf/Archive_1#Arix_Speedy_deletion - But after studying your links I am more than ever convinced that this Speedy Deletion was incorrect. The article didn't meet the criteria of "unambiguous advertising" at all. One can always discuss about reformulating one word or a certain sentence. But the article for sure wouldn't have to be completely rewritten. And that's the criteria. If it's about one sentence, the article should be kept according to the rules you linked. Also take into account that 100% of the information in the article was (formulated in own words) taken from the reliable sources. I don't know the company personally and didn't add anything to the information of Reuters and other reliable sources. Certain assessments in reliable sources might sound at first glance "too positive". But who am I or who are you to judge this? The reliable sources for sure know it better than you and me. As a general remark I find it a strange system that you are not able to see the articles you deleted yourself, but that's not your fault, of course. But should be another reason for not speedily deleting articles too prematurely. The idea of Wikipedia as far as I understand it is to change or even discuss specific shortcomings in artlcles and use Speedy Deletion only for extreme cases like blatant advertising and the like where it really makes sense. It takes a very long time to write an article and a very short time to delete it. For the future: I still have the question if it is possible to revive the Arix article at some point? And what should I do for other articles in the future? What did you do when your articles got deleted? Should I ask you or someone else first for feedback on an article before publishing it? Cucina11 (talk) 13:35, 16 November 2021 (UTC)

(talk page stalker)@Cucina11: Currently Orbit Wharf is blocked from editing Wikipedia as per the notice above. I will instead try to answer some of your questions, if you have more you are free to also ask at the WP:TEAHOUSE. I am not an administrator nor did I see the article prior so I cannot comment on specific content, however 2 people thought the article was not about a subject so much as about promoting a service or product. Wikipedia has a very strict and heavily enforced policy on corporate articles, we have to, to ensure this just doesn't become another overly commercialized website and we are able to maintain the encyclopedic nature. In the future you are free to work on new articles in your Sandbox where they will less likely be deleted suddenly and then I would recommend you also use the WP:AFC process to have them reviewed. It would also be helpful to read through WP:YFA, article creation is one of the most difficult tasks to undertake on Wikipedia as there an abundance of policies and guidelines one must be aware of and follow not to see their work demolished.
