Hi, I'm RonBot, a script that checks new non-free file uploads. I have found that the subject image that you recently uploaded was more than 5% in excess of the Non-free content guideline size of 100,000 pixels. I have tagged the image for a standard reduction, which (for jpg/gif/png/svg files) normally happens within a day. Please check the reduced image, and make sure that the image is not excessively corrupted. Other files will be added to Category:Wikipedia non-free file size reduction requests for manual processing. There is a full seven-day period before the original oversized image will be hidden; during that time you might want to consider editing the original image yourself (perhaps an initial crop to allow a smaller reduction or none at all). A formula for calculation the desired size can be found at WP:Image resolution, along with instructions on how to tag the image in the rare cases that it requires an oversized image (typically about 0.2% of non-free uploads are tagged as necessarily oversized). Please contact the bot owner if you have any questions, or you can ask them at Wikipedia talk:Non-free content. RonBot (talk) 17:18, 24 August 2018 (UTC)
Replaceable fair use File:Ernesto Fajardo 2017.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Ernesto Fajardo 2017.jpg. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of fair use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of fair use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Wikipedia. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:
- Go to the file description page and add the text
{{Di-replaceable fair use disputed|<your reason>}}
below the original replaceable fair use template, replacing<your reason>
with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable. - On the file discussion page, write a full explanation of why you believe the file is not replaceable.
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).
If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Whpq (talk) 00:00, 2 June 2019 (UTC)

We've recently built the project page and started a drive to improve St. Louis related articles. Please take a look to edit an article or add one of your own. Once an article's status has been agreed upon, feel free to stop by and lend a hand in getting it to featured article status. Hope you can participate! |

Disambiguation link notification for August 3
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Daniel Epps, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page AB (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

== Wikipedia and copyright == Hello Doc2129, and welcome to Wikipedia. Your additions to Gateway Arch National Park have been removed in whole or in part, as they appear to have added copyrighted content without evidence that the source material is in the public domain or has been released by its owner or legal agent under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. (To request such a release, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission.) While we appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from sources to avoid copyright and plagiarism issues.
- You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and cite the source using an inline citation. You can read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Help:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
- Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. (There is a college-level introduction to paraphrase, with examples, hosted by the Online Writing Lab of Purdue.) Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify the information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
- Our primary policy on using copyrighted content is Wikipedia:Copyrights. You may also want to review Wikipedia:Copy-paste.
- If you own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a legally designated agent, you may be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. Understand, though, that unlike many other sites, where a person can license their content for use there and retain non-free ownership, that is not possible at Wikipedia. Rather, the release of content must be irrevocable, to the world, into the public domain (PD) or under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. Such a release must be done in a verifiable manner, so that the authority of the person purporting to release the copyright is evidenced. See Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
- In very rare cases (that is, for sources that are PD or compatibly licensed) it may be possible to include greater portions of a source text. However, please seek help at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions, the help desk or the Teahouse before adding such content to the article. 99.9% of sources may not be added in this way, so it is necessary to seek confirmation first. If you do confirm that a source is public domain or compatibly licensed, you will still need to provide full attribution; see Wikipedia:Plagiarism for the steps you need to follow.
- Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied or translated without attribution. If you want to copy or translate from another Wikipedia project or article, you must follow the copyright attribution steps in Wikipedia:Translation#How to translate. See also Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia.
It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. — Diannaa 🍁 (talk) 14:06, 4 August 2019 (UTC)
References
[edit]Thank you for contributing to Wikipedia. Remember that when adding content about health, please only use high-quality reliable sources as references. We typically use review articles, major textbooks and position statements of national or international organizations (There are several kinds of sources that discuss health: here is how the community classifies them and uses them). WP:MEDHOW walks you through editing step by step. A list of resources to help edit health content can be found here. The edit box has a built-in citation tool to easily format references based on the PMID or ISBN.
- While editing any article or a wikipage, on the top of the edit window you will see a toolbar which says "cite" click on it
- Then click on "templates",
- Choose the most appropriate template and fill in the details beside a magnifying glass followed by clicking said button,
- If the article is available in Pubmed Central, you have to add the pmc parameter manually -- click on "show additional fields" in the template and you will see the "pmc" field. Please add just the number and don't include "PMC".
We also provide style advice about the structure and content of medicine-related encyclopedia articles. The welcome page is another good place to learn about editing the encyclopedia. If you have any questions, please feel free to drop me a note. Doc James (talk · contribs · email) 15:22, 10 August 2019 (UTC)
- Hello, I am another volunteer on here and I reviewed your edit on Alzheimer's disease. Thank you for volunteering to improve the article. It looks like an interesting study. I removed the content for now, until we can find a source that meets Wikipedia's guideline for reliable sources in medical articles, WP:MEDRS. Because Wikipedia is maintained by volunteers and to reduce the risk of conflict of interest, the guideline dictates that we wait to add evidence that has been published/reviewed in a high-quality secondary or tertiary source. This is difficult in the case of brand new (and exciting) research, but it just means that we may need to wait a little while longer before sharing this info in the encylopedia. If you have any questions there are many volunteers at WikiProject Medicine that can help. JenOttawa (talk) 00:34, 11 August 2019 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of The Leadership Alliance
[edit]Hello Doc2129,
I wanted to let you know that I just tagged The Leadership Alliance for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly indicate why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.
If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.
You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks!

The Leadership Alliance moved to draftspace
[edit]An article you recently created, The Leadership Alliance, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Oxford and Cambridge Universities
[edit]Hi, I have reverted your edits to Oxford and Cambridge Universities as they don't fit where you put them. If you want to add a section about the influence of Oxford and Cambridge college architecture on collegiate gothic, I think that a separate section in the Oxford colleges and Cambridge colleges articles, linked to collegiate gothic might be more appropriate. Also, the Princeton reference needs a title. TSventon (talk) 09:41, 19 August 2019 (UTC)

Sorry about the misunderstanding
[edit]Sorry, I should have clarified. To put a 650-odd word section in an FA such as India takes time. For one, the people at FA land frown on any FA with > 10K words. We were already stretching that with 10.3K words, but with the Education section, we will be up to 11K words. That means that there will have to be further concision, both in the Education section, and in some other sections. Also, a number of other things will need to be done: (i) the sources will need to be checked for the kind of standard in place in the article, (ii) the paraphrasing will need to be checked to ensure it is in Summary Style, faithful but not close, (iii) the text will need to be checked for WP:DUE. Anyway, that is not your problem. You have done your work, and thanks for that. But before it can do in, most likely, I, since I have been the unofficial caretaker of the page, will have to do all the other things. So, hold on a little while longer. I will now add this to my list of responsibilities on my user page. Thanks again, and sorry for the misunderstanding. Fowler&fowler«Talk» 03:05, 13 March 2020 (UTC)
- No problem, Fowler&fowler thank you for the clarification and for reviewing everything. Let me know if you need help with anything. Best, --Doc2129 (talk) 03:10, 13 March 2020 (UTC)
- Yes, I will. Thanks for understanding. Fowler&fowler«Talk» 03:17, 13 March 2020 (UTC)
Hey I have seen your edits on India and I think your edits are significant, but I don't think that "education" section will be enough for the page. What if we also write about Science and Technology? That will help us completing the picture. Aman Kumar Goel (Talk) 12:42, 13 March 2020 (UTC)
- Aman Kumar Goel, are you proposing a "Science and Technology" subsection? I agree, that would be nice to have. Feel free to include this in the comments section on the discussion page. Please let me know if you need any help with anything. Thank you. --Doc2129 (talk) 12:47, 13 March 2020 (UTC)
- I think we should start by creating a sandbox first. Should we create it in your userspace or mine? Thanks Aman Kumar Goel (Talk) 13:06, 13 March 2020 (UTC)
- Whatever you prefer Aman Kumar Goel. --Doc2129 (talk) 13:17, 13 March 2020 (UTC)
- I think we should start by creating a sandbox first. Should we create it in your userspace or mine? Thanks Aman Kumar Goel (Talk) 13:06, 13 March 2020 (UTC)
I suggest that you first discuss this on Talk:India. You cannot make up sections and then present them there. Please first discuss if this is needed. S&T has been discussed dozens of times, and the consensus each time as been against it. Fowler&fowler«Talk» 15:11, 13 March 2020 (UTC)
- Doc2129 Please also note that if you mix this up, it will jeopardize the chances of your education section going in. Additions to the India page take a lot of work. Changing the scope unilaterally will present issues for people who assented to the education section (and mind you not everyone has spoken) and those that will do the further work. You can't just arbitrarily change something midway. Fowler&fowler«Talk» 15:17, 13 March 2020 (UTC)
Fowler&fowler, thanks for the insight. I was not aware that S&T had been previously discussed. Therefore, Aman Kumar Goel, it is probably best that the Education section stands alone. --Doc2129 (talk) 15:21, 13 March 2020 (UTC)
- I will be mainly focusing on education as well before working on other sections, but remember that consensus can change. I am sure that these sections will largely depend on the quality of content whether they should be included or not. Aman Kumar Goel (Talk) 15:46, 13 March 2020 (UTC)
Recent edit reversion
[edit]In this edit here, I reverted some information that appears to be a violation of our copyright policy.
I provided a brief summary of the problem in the edit summary, which should be visible just below my name. This should be an edit with my name, and a parenthetical comment explaining why your edit was reverted.
