Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Ōzato Dynasty, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Kingdom (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Ryukyu WikiProject

Hi there. I'm afraid that there's no real need to produce an entirely separate WikiProject dedicated to coverage of the history of the Ryukyu Islands. However, I think it would probably be much better to turn it into a task force within WP:WikiProject Japan. You will probably get a lot more assistance by organizing things that way rather than starting up your own WikiProject, considering it does not appear that you have much experience on the project.—Ryūlóng (琉竜) 17:20, 20 January 2014 (UTC)

Yeah, I've seen a number of projects stagnate because they didn't have enough people in them. Ryulong, where would be a good place for his to-do page that had been in the project? — kwami (talk) 17:39, 20 January 2014 (UTC)
I'm certain that if Sturmgewehr88 would leave a message at WT:JAPAN, editors there would gladly help in creating a new task force dedicated to coverage of the Ryukyu Islands.—Ryūlóng (琉竜) 17:48, 20 January 2014 (UTC)
Look, I saw a need, and that is why I created the WikiProject. I'm trying to adequately cover the subject, and the WikiProject is where I can organize and coordinate (even if I'm alone). And while I may be alone, at least I'm making progress. I don't particularly care about anyone helping me, I'm just doing this for the greater good. I also don't appreciate how people have been more likely to hinder me than help in any way. If you honestly disagreed with my creation of the WikiProject, then you should have put it up for discussion, rather than deleting it and informing me of my "misdeeds". Sturmgewehr88 (talk) 19:01, 20 January 2014 (UTC)
There may be a need but you cannot hope to get much done if you just do things on your own. I am sure that you can lead a task force within the Japan Wikiproject which will get things done better.—Ryūlóng (琉竜) 20:31, 20 January 2014 (UTC)
You are right to a point. I could get a lot done on my own, but it would take more than a reasonable amount of time. I consider the Ryukyus to be a controversial topic, so I would prefer WikiProject Ryūkyū to be seperate from WikiProject Japan. It would be nice if others with a sincere interest would pitch in though. Sturmgewehr88 (talk) 22:11, 20 January 2014 (UTC)
It's not really controversial. I'm sure it would work better as a task force than an independent project. The islands are now part of Japan after all.—Ryūlóng (琉竜) 22:38, 20 January 2014 (UTC)
Ok, so how should I go about converting it into a taskforce? Sturmgewehr88 (talk) 23:05, 20 January 2014 (UTC)
I added a request here. ミーラー強斗武 (talk) 16:20, 21 January 2014 (UTC)

Replaceable fair use File:Ozato Castle Ruins.jpg

Thanks for uploading File:Ozato Castle Ruins.jpg. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of fair use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of fair use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Wikipedia. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the file description page and add the text {{di-replaceable fair use disputed|<your reason>}} below the original replaceable fair use template, replacing <your reason> with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable.
  2. On the file discussion page, write a full explanation of why you believe the file is not replaceable.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. —Ryūlóng (琉竜) 17:20, 20 January 2014 (UTC)

Let me just point out that anyone can go to Nanjo and take a photo of the castle ruins today and upload a free version. There is no reason to post a photo someone else has taken.—Ryūlóng (琉竜) 17:23, 20 January 2014 (UTC)

Well for one, I only had a need of a photo when I was on my way out of the country, and couldn't go take a picture myself, and two, it was the only photo I could find. The fact that there are so few photos of the castle should allow for the one I used to stay until another appears, but I doubt that will happen. Sturmgewehr88 (talk) 19:06, 20 January 2014 (UTC)
The fact is that anyone can still go to Nanjo and take a photo themselves. Wikipedia has strict rules on what can and cannot be uploaded and the mere fact that anyone can reproduce the photo if they have the time and exertion means that any non-free photos cannot be used unless there is some sort of copyright issue that would otherwise prevent free photograph creation.—Ryūlóng (琉竜) 20:27, 20 January 2014 (UTC)

The article Uni-Ufugusuku has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Article is not substantially sourced; only source is some Blogspot posting

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. —Ryūlóng (琉竜) 04:59, 27 January 2014 (UTC)

Re:Dwy

I've dealt with WP:NOTHERE issues before by taking them to WP:ANI in the past, but unfortunately this dispute will look like a content dispute to anyone who's not dilligent enough to read the 10,000's of words of discussion that have already been posted. (This happened when I brought Dwy's even more blatantly politically-motivated co-warrior Juzumaru there in December.) Wikipedia:Dispute resolution noticeboard is unfortunately where disputes go to not get resolved (check the archives: they have a 5%~10% success rate). Given that all three of us have noted Dwy's disruption, though, ANI might be the right answer -- do you want to do the honours or shall I? Hijiri 88 (やや) 07:49, 3 March 2014 (UTC)

Well with your meticulous attention to detail, and the fact that he's been like this before I got involved, you should report him to ANI. I'll inform User:Shii and anyone else that would want him dealt with. ミーラー強斗武 (talk) 15:41, 3 March 2014 (UTC)

I am surprised that this war still continues. Could you explain what is the problem? [1] I can provide sources from Japan's national library. --Juzumaru (talk) 14:26, 5 March 2014 (UTC)
Sturmgewehr, I expected you to contribute to the ANI discussion (it's a bit dry at the moment, as I expected), but when you logged in all you did was defend Dwy's latest bit of nitpicking on the article talk page... Hijiri 88 (やや) 23:34, 5 March 2014 (UTC)
I'm sorry Hijiri, but I didn't know what to say at ANI; I'm waiting for someone else to comment I suppose. I wasn't defending Dwy (I don't like that he made the Western year an aside), but I do think that it was a decent addition to the article, although needing rearranging. ミーラー強斗武 (talk) 00:32, 6 March 2014 (UTC)
I just saw that you already changed the article, and I thank you again. ミーラー強斗武 (talk) 00:41, 6 March 2014 (UTC)

Sturmgewehr, I'm not sure how your Japanese is, or if you even noticed Dwy's latest piece of commentary on this dispute. He was responding on his talk page to a disruptive SPA who has been told numerous times by at least three users (Epicgenius[2] Ross Hill[3] and myself[4]) to just edit Japanese Wikipedia instead because machine-translated text doesn't help when engaging other users of English Wikipedia in political debates -- and political debates is all said user has done (literally every single one of his 700+ edits have been about geopolitical disputes between Japan and South Korean; look at the guy's talk page -- until two months ago all it was was other users pointing out problems with his edits and getting completely ignored). Anyway, since I'm sure your Japanese is good enough to wade through it yourself, I'm primarily posting my translation here for the record. His use of both of our signatures instead of our actual usernames may have caused you to miss the choice words he had for you in particular.

Juzumaru, it seems you don't particularly mind the article stating "descended from Emperor Kōshō + the Baekje origin theory", but it doesn't sit well with me personally, and so I am arguing the following points.
  • The historical existence of the eight legendary emperors is itself questionable, and "said to be descendant of Emperor Kōshō" is essentially a tradition, with scholars not actually arguing that "the Yamanoue clan were (really) descendants of Emperor Kōshō". Unless we specifically state by whom (and/or where) the phrase "descended Emperor Kōshō" there is a risk that the reader will draw the wrong conclusion. We need to make it clear that "descended from Emperor Kōshō" is a tradition based on the Shinsen Shōjiroku.
  • The Baekje origin theory was the subject of a heated debate, but the fact is that "scholars of Japanese literature propped up the Baekje origin theory, and it was rejected by historians". [I'm using Dwy's preferred terminology here because it's a quotation of what he thinks the article should say. "Historians" should, however, be glossed as "political historians", and "scholars of Japanese literature" as "literary historians".] To write as though it was a debate between "descended from Emperor Kōshō" and "Baekje origin theory" (something that fool Sturmgewehr88 honestly seems to believe) is just wrong. If we're going to cite the Baekje origin theory then we need to also balance that with "this theory is not supported by historians" and give an accurate summary of the debate between scholars.
  • Hijiri88 analyzed the articles in 15 encyclopedias, but on examination the number that only said "he was an immigrant" or that named Baekje specifically was small. There was only one that said "common ancestry with Kakinomoto no Hitomaro". On the other hand, even though there are encyclopedias that specify that there are live arguments being made [I could translate this as "were arguments made", which would be more factually correct, but would not match what Dwy seems to believe.] by scholars against both the Baekje origin theory and the Shinsen Shōjiroku, my attempts to decribe this in the article have been reverted. No matter what I can't wrap my head around what the hell kind of criteria are being used to determine what goes in and what gets kept out. Shouldn't we just be adding everything that has a decent source behind it?
I personally think I'm just having a valid discussion, but my opponents continue to make wild accusations like "It's obvious you have a political agenda!!"[This is how Dwy represents my style of rhetoric, but you can ctrl+f Talk:Yamanoue no Okura and Talk:Yamanoue no Okura/Archive 1: you will find me using it three times back in early January in a friendly or satyrical manner, Sturmgewehr88 using it once against me and once against Dwy, and Dwy using it twice against me.] Since my opponents are not making sensible arguments, there's really nothing to worry about, and I don't think you digging up documents for me will help all that much. --Dwy (talk) 16:06, 5 March 2014 (UTC)
Just as I thought, my opponents have a ridiculous way of attacking me, so it's probably better that you just be quiet and keep watch from the sidelines. --Dwy (talk) 18:09, 5 March 2014 (UTC)

Cheers!

Hijiri 88 (やや) 03:00, 6 March 2014 (UTC)

Note that I already outlined the criteria: try to match as closely as possible the neautrally-worded encyclopedia articles I dug up earlier. The current wording is virtually a direct translation of Nakanishi's article in Epoca, although it is also backed up by Keene and Itō. The Wikipedia article itself under my wording does not "only say that he was an immigrant", nor is it likely to confuse readers. Dwy is ignoring all of our comments so he can keep propping up straw man arguments like this. I wonder what his next argument will be if I actually edit the article to add mention of the Shinsen Shōjiroku: will he do another complete 180 and demand that all reference to both the Shinsen Shōjiroku and Emperor Kōshō be removed? Will he just say "Nakanishi is the foremost scholar in this field and he says that Okura was a vassal of the Awata clan, so that's all we should say"? We'll see, anyway, because I actually don't have a problem with mentioning the Shinsen Shōjiroku. Hijiri 88 (やや) 03:47, 6 March 2014 (UTC)
I wasn't even aware of this. Just wow. ミーラー強斗武 (talk) 04:47, 6 March 2014 (UTC)
I should probably disclose that "that fool Sturmgewehr88" was my interpretation of "ミーラー強斗武さんなんか". I think it's a fair interpretation and it's Dwy's responsibility to explain why he chose to mark your name with nanka. But I don't mean to mislead you or anyone else. 182.249.47.167 (talk) 08:31, 6 March 2014 (UTC) (Hjr88)
It's fine. I'm surprised he used my name instead of my username though. ミーラー強斗武 (talk) 15:16, 6 March 2014 (UTC)

  • User:The Anome, since when does German Wikipedia's username policies take precedence over English Wikipedia's? This username has been registered for almost two years, and no one said anything until I tried to get it unblocked on German Wikipedia (which I didn't even know had happened until months after the fact). At WP:UAA, User:Yunshui agreed that it didn't violate our policy when the German Wikipedia Admin who blocked me reported me. Either way, this username is still usable on every other Wikimedia project that I've ever been involved with. I gave up trying to get unblocked on German Wikipedia, but there's no way I'll give up here, where I'm well established, without a better explanation than "the Germans did it first" or "you're a Nazi". ミーラー強斗武 (talk) 00:48, 2 April 2014 (UTC)
I still stand by that. Whilst there is a weak argument to be made that this username falls under the qualification of "Disruptive or offensive usernames" (specifically the clause that prohibits "Usernames that are likely to offend other contributors"), so far only one other editor has expressed any dissatisfaction in the 18 months of Sturmgewehr88's presence here. At the very least, this is an issue for discussion at WP:RFCN, not an excuse to unilaterally block a productive editor. I'm not going to unblock until I hear from The Anome, but I will state that I consider this block to be excessive and unnecessary. Yunshui  07:17, 2 April 2014 (UTC)

Accept reason:

unblocking for now, so user can participate at WP:RFCN process. The Anome (talk) 10:52, 3 April 2014 (UTC)

I don't know how this one slipped through the cracks for so long. Names with Nazi connotations are in general not acceptable; this certainly should go to WP:RFCN. Blocking an established user rather than simply asking for a correction doesn't make much sense. 05:48, 3 April 2014 (UTC)--jpgordon::==( o )
The German Wikipedia's policy on names certainly doesn't apply here - or we'd be allowing company names as usernames. However, I too am surprised that this name hasn't rung alarm bells in anyone's mind till now - it hit me straight away. I would recommend a name change, but take it to RFCN if that isn't accepted by the user. Peridon (talk) 11:01, 3 April 2014 (UTC)

lang=ja

What is the technical reason? — lfdder 03:41, 2 May 2014 (UTC)

As Ryulong said: I mean that using {{lang|ja}} we make it so the text is properly encoded in HTML tags and are displayed properly. It's technically all those other languages, yes, but encoding it as Japanese makes sure its displayed right. And we still have to abide by what is shown in reliable sources rather than the truth.—Ryūlóng (琉竜) 15:22, 17 April 2014 (UTC) ミーラー強斗武 (talk) 03:47, 2 May 2014 (UTC)
"displayed right"? — lfdder 03:53, 2 May 2014 (UTC)
Well I went through a few articles and changed them from ja to their respective language, and this is the reason he gave for me to change them back. Sounds reasonable enough, and the user I reverted only made this change to that one article. ミーラー強斗武 (talk) 03:57, 2 May 2014 (UTC)
Sounds a bit vague. User:Ryulong? The user you reverted was me. ;P — lfdder 04:02, 2 May 2014 (UTC)
Oh... Sorry about that. I've been partially reverting another user for a while and thought it was him. ミーラー強斗武 (talk) 04:06, 2 May 2014 (UTC)

Seeing as I was inadvertantly alerted to this, basically, if we label the Ryukyuan group of languages as their own language, browsers might not be able to identify the language in question and choose the right font to display the text. Considering it's all the Japanese writing systems it's just easier to go with {{lang|ja}}.—Ryūlóng (琉竜) 05:21, 2 May 2014 (UTC)

Re: Moneynoob?

Regarding the question if I had changed my username from Moneynoob to Minfremi, the answer is yes, I have changed my username to match other usernames I use today; I created a wiki account as Moneynoob like, 5 years ago when I was still 14 years old. はいさい!Thank you for inviting me, but unfortunately, I have to decline your invitation. I have never been to Okinawa or had anything to do with the islands (except for the language phonology and some songs until recently, and my girlfriend for just over a month now is Okinawan). Therefore, I know nothing of what is there and if I do, I know nothing about it. I was, however, able to add an item to the todo list regarding the YuiRail monorail. I may take some stuff from the Japanese page and add some meat to the English page by translating, but that will probably be the farthest I will be able to go. わっさいびーん Minfremi (talk) 05:41, 15 May 2014 (UTC)

The page on the monorail already existed... it was either just not linked to the Japanese page or I missed it... Minfremi (talk) 06:13, 19 May 2014 (UTC)
I saw this, and it's understandable. At least it's not as bad as when I created Ōzato Castle. ミーラー強斗武 (talk) 18:00, 19 May 2014 (UTC)

I have no interest in the subgrouping of Japan, and they aren't "local names". You talk of sourcing the names, but one of the names you erased had a reliable source. ミーラー強斗武 (talk) 04:44, 18 May 2014 (UTC)

Edit my paper on Okinawan?

Will you be willing to edit the paper I had mentioned briefly in the talk page of the Okinawan Language article for any mistakes on the brief Okinawan history, language(phonology), and any grammatical errors? It has already been passed in and I got 15 out of 15 on it but after that thing on the vowel confusion I decided to open it up once again and take a look at it, and pretty much fixed half of the paper and reformatted it, but I still feel something may be incorrect. It's short, like 6 pages and a works cited page. I will add a mediafire link later with the .docx (or .pdf if you prefer) file attached if you say yes. Minfremi (talk) 06:24, 19 May 2014 (UTC)

I'd be glad to look over it. Docx or pdf is fine. ミーラー強斗武 (talk) 17:56, 19 May 2014 (UTC)
Here is the link to MediaFire. I will disconnect the link once I know you have downloaded the file. There are 3 files in the .zip file: 1.pdf, 2.pdf, and 3.docx. 1.pdf is the directions for a presentation I had done which this paper is based off. 2.pdf is the directions for the paper. 3.docx is the actual paper that needs edits. Please add comments or make edits clearly visible so I know what I have done wrong. This paper was meant for a linguistics class, so if there are things you do not understand, it's probably because it is unique to my class. では、うにげーさびら Minfremi (talk) 22:15, 19 May 2014 (UTC)

Discussion at the article Emperor Jimmu

Hi, are you interested in participating in a discussion in the talk page of the article on Emperor Jimmu? I'm having a disagreement with an IP address account over whether or not to include information in the article about the veneration of Jimmu which occurred in modern prewar Japanese history. If we had more input then maybe we could reach a suitable settlement.CurtisNaito (talk) 06:59, 24 May 2014 (UTC)

I guess I can give my two cents. ミーラー強斗武 (talk) 07:18, 24 May 2014 (UTC)
On some areas discussion is making progress, but on many others it is not. I agree that we can change the text of the Earhart citation to "Hakkō ichiu was thus employed in a way that envisioned the unification of the world (the "eight corners of the world") under the Japanese Emperor's rule." However, is there anything else you would like to delete, add, or modify in the current version of the section "Commemorating Jimmu's reign"? If we can agree on what this section should look like then we'll at least have a consensus of two which will make it easier to tell what is worth discussing and what isn't.CurtisNaito (talk) 17:04, 7 June 2014 (UTC)
The problem is that Hijiri and you have been discussing your past behavior more than you've discussed a solution to this dispute. I'm more involved to resolve the dispute than to change the section to my liking, and since Hijiri is the one that sees something wrong with the section, we should be asking him for consensus. See the talk page for more. ミーラー強斗武 (talk) 20:22, 7 June 2014 (UTC)

Your user name

Hello,

I noticed your username at ANI today, and see that it is based on an assault weapon developed by the Nazis during World War II. According to our article Sturmgewehr, the weapon was named by Adolph Hitler himself, and its first use in combat was when it was airdropped to surrounded German units at the Kholm Pocket, and one of those units was accused of 5000 ethnic cleansing murders, and deportations to death camps. Accordingly, I think that it is likely that many people would consider your username offensive, and I respectfully request that you change it. Thank you for your serious consideration of my request. Cullen328 Let's discuss it 06:02, 10 July 2014 (UTC)

@Cullen328: Actually, I use "Sturmgewehr" in the general use of the term, as German for assault rifle, not in reference to the Sturmgewehr 44. If the word "assault rifle" offends someone, I don't know what to tell you. And I'm pretty sure that the Germans in the Kholm Pocket used more scavenged Soviet weapons to commit genocide than they even had StG44s. If you're going to come to my talk page about something as offensive (to me) as this, at least get your facts straight. It's actually the "88" that's "based on a... weapon developed by the Nazis during World War II." The 88 comes from the caliber of the main gun of the Tiger I, an extremely popular tank among tank fans, which was feared and awed for its thick armor and powerful 88mm main gun. This explanation is also on my user page. I've noticed that only angry or "concerned" people even mention my username, and I've never been confronted by someone who was genuinely offended (this is not a request for you to go find people who find it offensive) in my two years on Wikipedia. This has been formally brought up before, but I was allowed to keep my username because my user page and contributions showed that I am neither a Nazi/Nazi sympathizer nor a vandal/bad faith editor. I appreciate the concern, but this is not currently an issue, so please don't make it one. ミーラー強斗武 (StG88ぬ会話) 07:03, 10 July 2014 (UTC)
Please note that I intentionally did not mention the 88, and have not hinted that you are a Nazi sympathizer or a vandal. You clearly know far more about the history of the weapons than I do, and I respect that. And the term "assault rifle" does not offend me. So I just have one more question: Did Adolph Hitler coin the term "sturmgewehr" or is that an error in our article? Thank you. Cullen328 Let's discuss it 07:13, 10 July 2014 (UTC)
@Cullen328: Whatever your intention, I was simply correcting your observation. And no you didn't accuse me of those, but I have been accused in the past and just wanted to put that out there from the start. I do know a lot about WW2, but my specialty is Ryūkyūan history. Actually, the article says "acording to legend" he did, but "some sources dispute that Hitler had much to do with coining the new name besides signing the order." Regards, ミーラー強斗武 (StG88ぬ会話) 07:28, 10 July 2014 (UTC)
Reference #21, published by U.S. analysts in 1945, states: "To bolster troop and civilian morale, the German High Command is now widely advertising the general issue of an automatic small arm which Adolph Hitler has personally designated the "Assault Rifle 44" (Sturmgewehr 44). The much-touted "new" weapon is actually the familiar German machine carbine with a more chest-thumping title." The same source later states that this was the first use of the term. I respectfully request that you change your username to something that wasn't coined by Adolph Hitler. Thank you. Cullen328 Let's discuss it 07:36, 10 July 2014 (UTC)
@Cullen328: Reference #7, published in 2011, says: "Hitler only approved MP43 production retrospectively. An improved version, the MP44, was fielded and in December 1944 was redesignated StG44 (Sturmgewehr, or assault rifle, 44). Another myth claims that Hitler bestowed the "assault rifle" designation himself, but this too is highly doubtful. He may have signed the order, but the designation was probably proposed by the Heereswaffenamt." Myths are not very strong indicators of truth, and I'm not going to change my username based on a myth. ミーラー強斗武 (StG88ぬ会話) 07:58, 10 July 2014 (UTC)
I would also like to point out that Germans and German speakers have not banned or labeled the word "Sturmgewehr" as being a "Nazi word". They continue to use the word to describe the kind of weapon that is called an assault rifle in English. They also continue to name weapons "Sturmgewehr #", such as the Sturmgewehr 58, Sturmgewehr 77, and the Sturmgewehr 90. ミーラー強斗武 (StG88ぬ会話) 08:28, 10 July 2014 (UTC)

Alien (Alien franchise)

Hi there! Thanks for the feedback on Alien (creature in Alien franchise) While I appreciate and understand the intention, I respectfully disagree. I understand that Wikipedia has a neutral perspective. The edits I made are objectively correct, and official story canon. Accurately representing a name has no bearing on neutrality in this context, and is not sufficient cause for reversion. Thanks, and keep making wiki a better place! Reverting other editors

Hi there! You appear to be engaged in an edit war with one or more editors according to your reverts at Alien (creature in Alien franchise). Although repeatedly reverting or undoing another editor's contributions may seem necessary to protect your preferred version of a page, on Wikipedia this is usually seen as obstructing the normal editing process, and often creates animosity between editors. Instead of edit warring, please discuss the situation with the editor(s) involved and try to reach a consensus on the talk page.

If editors continue to revert to their preferred version they are likely to be blocked from editing. This isn't done to punish an editor, but to prevent the disruption caused by edit warring. In particular, editors should be aware of the three-revert rule, which says that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. While edit warring on Wikipedia is not acceptable in any amount, breaking the three-revert rule is very likely to lead to a block.

Please be informed that a Dispute resolution has been filed on this page, and further edits should be kept to the talk page until it is resolved.

Thanks! And have a wonderful time on wikipedia. Urammar (talk) 12:07, 31 October 2014 (UTC)

Signature markup

A small thing, but I noticed that the markup in your signature is nested incorrectly. While it renders perfectly well, it's technically incorrect and the syntax highlighter gadget (which I thoroughly recommend!) processes it as if the boldface was never closed, which can paint the entire rest of a talk page edit window purple.

You've got:

[[User:Sturmgewehr88|<b style="background:black; color:red">ミーラー強斗武</b>]]

But it should be:

'''[[User:Sturmgewehr88|<span style="background:black"><span style="color:red">ミーラー強斗武</span></span>]]'''

All the best. --McGeddon (talk) 10:57, 8 November 2014 (UTC)

No, it's only the brackets and closing bold markup being inside instead of outside the <span> that's a problem. --McGeddon (talk) 13:14, 8 November 2014 (UTC)

per IPC- we are writing an encyclopedia and so mere appearance of X in fictional representation Y does not mean that Y should be mentioned in article X. At minimum, a third party reliable source needs to have identified X appearing in Y - and preferably making some sort of encyclopedic commentary about the appearance and not just noting the appearance itself (which would essentially be simply random trivia). -- TRPoD aka The Red Pen of Doom 00:37, 10 December 2014 (UTC)

Okinawa is NOT another country anymore; the Okinawan tongue is a dialect of Japanese, like it or not (it was established so by the government years ago, after carrying out extensive linguistic research, and realizing the grammar is the same) (Palau, Korean, and Ainu are clearly not related). I can't understand how Wikipedia can let a soldier, a brutish animal without intelligence, closer to the neanderthal than to the homo sapiens, have more authority editing articles than an expert in the subject. And you Americans are clearly the most retarded people on Earth. Now I see why Americans in Japan can only get the ugliest and most retarded women out there. Bitches who, if they don't marry a dumb American, will end up single forever.

Shame on you, Wikipedia!!

Let me recommend you a site you may find "interesting", a site that shows how lots of people feel about the most unreliable encyclopedia on Earth: http://www.smoblogger.com/wikipedia-sucks/
