Welcome—ask questions about how to use or edit Wikipedia! (Am I in the right place?)

    February 4

    External link to article

I added the article on https://academic.oup.com/jxb/article-lookup/doi/10.1093/jxb/erp043 as an external link to https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/There_are_known_knowns but don't appear to have added it correctly. Mcljlm (talk) 02:36, 4 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

    Resolved

Several subsequent edits have formatted the link. Eagleash (talk) 20:24, 4 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

    Referencing errors on Alexander Agassiz

Reference help requested. I made an empty citation by mistake, and couldn't figure out how to delete it. How can I clean that up? Thanks, 72.70.58.181 (talk) 03:43, 4 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

    Alexander Agassiz (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views)
Another editor fixed this just after you posted here. -- John of Reading (talk) 08:28, 4 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Is there a way to hide edits from watchlist that got reverted

    Is there? Bertdrunk (talk) 04:16, 4 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

It is possible, Bertdrunk but only a limited group of users ("Oversighters") have the power to do it, and they will only do so if they are persuaded that it is desirable. WP:Oversight tells you about it, and how to request it. --ColinFine (talk) 21:05, 6 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

    Referencing errors on Ruy Lopez

    Reference help requested.

    Thanks, Asmund.skalevik (talk) 05:58, 4 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

There was a misunderstanding of the variant names, Modern Steinitz and Steinitz Deferred, therefore I renamed the headers. I apologize any cite errors introduced and hope they will be corrected by someone.

A bot fixed a ref error at about 1AM (UTC). There weren't any errors introduced in OP's subsequent edits AFAICT and there don't seem to be any error messages showing at present. Eagleash (talk) 13:30, 4 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

    multiple and multiply nested refs

I've been editing Christopher Columbus, and I noticed that under "Relatives | Brothers:" the infobox listed

    Giacomo (also called Diego)[1],

As a linguist, I knew that the names Giacomo (Italian) and Diego (Spanish) are related to each other and to the English name James. That seemed relevant to mention, because the alternate names for this son of an Italian working for Spain are not arbitrary, as a pen name can be (e.g., "Mark Twain" for Samuel Clemens). I found good sources at the website Behind the Name, on the pages for the three names.

At first I tried to incorporate the refs into an explanatory footnote ({{efn-ua}}) after the ref that was already on the line, but that meant nesting three separate footnotes into the efn— even more complex, nesting within nesting like a matryoshka, if I used {{cite web}}, as I prefer to do. I tried {{refn}} but couldn't get it to work. Finally I settled on sticking them into the ref in-line, after the existing {{cite NIE}} (my addition in boldface):

<ref>{{Cite NIE| wstitle=Columbus, Diego (brother) |display=Columbus, Diego. The youngest brother of Christopher Columbus}} — The names Giacomo and Diego are cognates, along with James, all sharing a common origin. See Behind the Name, Mike Campbell, pages Giacomo, Diego, and James. All retrieved 2017-02-03.</ref>

So now it comes out like this:

    Giacomo (also called Diego)[1]

One other issue here that I've been running into elsewhere as well is citing several pages from the same website using the informative {{cite web}}, without copying the whole citation for each one. Often, as here, the only differences are the url and title parameters. The only template like that that I know of is {{rp}}, which doesn't suit this case.

Is there a better way to handle either of these problems? That is, nesting a ref inside an explanatory footnote, and citing different pages of the same website when the differences are as minimal as they are here? Please {{Ping}} me to discuss. --Thnidu (talk) 06:53, 4 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Thnidu On your first conundrum: it seems that {{refn}} should work. An experiment to try to obtain something like what I think you were aiming at yielded the following:
    Markup Renders as
text text{{refn|{{Cite NIE| wstitle=Columbus, Diego (brother) |display=Columbus, Diego. The youngest brother of Christopher Columbus}}{{refn|group=upper-alpha|The names Giacomo and Diego are cognates, along with James, all sharing a common origin. {{refn|Behind the Name, Mike Campbell, pages [http://www.behindthename.com/name/Giacomo Giacomo], [http://www.behindthename.com/name/Diego Diego], and [http://www.behindthename.com/name/James James]. Notes on the references

    1. ^ The names Giacomo and Diego are cognates, along with James, all sharing a common origin. [1]
(We cannot stop Ref 1 coming above Ref 2 as far as I know). The "how-to" page WP:Nesting footnotes suggests some ways to handle nested-reference situations. Hope this helps: Noyster (talk), 19:34, 4 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Reference [1] to Note [A] to Reference [2] to the text

This seems way overcomplicated. Why not this? (efn means explanatory foot note and is equivalent to {refn|group=lower-alpha}):

    Markup Renders as
text text{{refn|{{Cite NIE| wstitle=Columbus, Diego (brother) |display=Columbus, Diego. Newly registered editor copying my username exactly

I have a problem with a newly registered editor who is using a name almost exactly the same as mine. The account for User:Ryecatcher733 (see: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Contributions/Ryecatcher733) has basically been created within the past several hours and is editing the Linndale, Ohio in a disruptive manner. Thank you in advance for looking into this. Ryecatcher773 (talk) 08:33, 4 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Reported to WP:AIV; obviously not here as someone with a merely coincidental username. WP:UAA would usually be where I'd take this but AIV is faster in this case since the disruption continues. Nate (chatter) 10:44, 4 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
And Materialscientist (talk · contribs) has blocked that user on those grounds. Nate (chatter) 10:46, 4 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

    Phabricator

Hello! Would somebody like to help me submit a proposal to Phabricator? What I would like to suggest is adding the option "upright" to the editor surface function "embedded file" (for all Wikipedia versions, of course!). I'd be grateful for any help since I'm not familiar to how Phabricator actually works and I admittedly find it a bit confusing for somebody not on the inside – though I do think that the community could in fact benefit from my idea... Hoping for your cooperation, best greetings--Hubon (talk) 13:50, 4 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

    Referencing errors on Ma-i

    Reference help requested.

    Hi.

    ReferenceBot (?)'s message said that

"On the Ma-i page, your edit caused a broken reference name ."

I'd correct this, but I can't quite see where the error is. Any chance someone could help me find and correct it, please?

    Thanks, Alternativity (talk) 14:43, 4 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

If you look at your edit you will see that the error is reported in ref 12 in that version. Your change had introduced extra quote marks into the reference name. The error has been corrected in subsequent edits. --David Biddulph (talk) 14:51, 4 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

    Thanks! - Alternativity (talk) 09:13, 7 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Move draft sandbox article to main Wikipedia

Hi, I was working on an article in Sandbox entitled 'Creamware' (the pottery type). It's ready now but I don't know how to move it to Wikipedia - I just moved it to the wrong place Wikipedia:Creamware (???) when I was actually trying to replace the existing STUB ('Creamware') with my new Article. I'm still fairly new to this, so help would be appreciated! Many thanks, JasperWare (talk) 16:34, 4 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for coming here JasperWare and asking for this to be put right. The page is now safely back in your user space under User:JasperWare/Creamware. Now about the existing article: we generally don't overwrite material other editors have contributed, assuming it's of acceptable quality and in line with policies. The current article looks OK to build on and the material you have compiled would make a valuable major expansion: so could I suggest you try to 'seamlessly' integrate your contribution with what's there?: Noyster (talk), 18:52, 4 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

    Category:Articles_with_a_promotional_tone

I think that articles with the COI tag should be included in this category, as usually conflict of interest editors make articles promotional of something or someone in some way. CoolieCoolster (talk) 16:58, 4 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Sometimes, but often not. There is an overlap, but they are not the same thing.--S Philbrick(Talk) 17:10, 4 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I would like to know if it is possible to correct an internal link to another wikipedia page. This is the first task I am attempting as an editor. The link in question (on https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/FOSB) is, I guess, automatically generated by enclosing a keyword in brackets: GluR2. This is found in the table titled "Neural and behavioral effects of validated ΔFosB transcriptional targets", derived from Reference 15.

When clicked this takes the reader to an incorrect page (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Metabotropic_glutamate_receptor_2), instead of https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GRIA2. GRIA2 is the new correct name for the GluR2 subunit of the AMPA receptor (see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AMPA_receptor#Subunit_composition). The confusion has no doubt arisen because this protein, like many others, has been renamed.

If you need confirmation that the link should be to the AMPA receptor subunit, this can be found in reference 15:

Review. Transcriptional mechanisms of addiction: role of DeltaFosB - Nestler EJ, 2008 [1]

In the discussion of table 3 (the table featured on the Wikipedia page), page 3249: "Several target genes of DFosB have been established using a candidate gene approach (table 3). One candidate gene is GluR2, an alpha-amino-3-hydroxy- 5-methyl-4-isoxazolepropionic acid (AMPA) glutamate receptor subunit (Kelz et al. 1999)."

I suppose this also begs the question - how do you specify a certain page in a link that appears to be automatically generated, when disambiguation must be a common problem? — Preceding unsigned comment added by JonCollier (talkcontribs) 21:19, 4 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

If I understand correctly, the problem is that two different proteins – Metabotropic glutamate receptor 2 and GRIA2 – have both been abbreviated as "GluR2" in the literature.
Meanwhile, here on Wikipedia, GluR2 was created as a "redirect" (follow that link for more information about redirects, what they are, and how they work) that points to Metabotropic glutamate receptor 2.
Two things probably need to be done to fix this:
    1. GluR2 needs to be a disambiguation page (again, more information at that link), giving readers who search for GluR2 a choice between the two possible meanings.
    2. Places where GluR2 is directly wikilinked in our articles should be converted to piped links to the correct protein article.
    (Assuming I've correctly interpreted the situation.) TenOfAllTrades(talk) 23:07, 4 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I've made the disambiguation page. Fixing inbound links looks a bit tricky because the template {{addiction}} links to GluR2 and I'm not sure which one it is supposed to go to. Siuenti (talk) 00:51, 5 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for noticing this. Based upon the molecular and cell biology wikiproject's style guide, protein names and acronyms as page titles should conform to the recommended UniProt name(s). Based upon the UniProt entries for both proteins on the current DAB page (glutamate receptor 2 and metabotropic glutamate receptor 2), GluR2 should redirect to the GRIA2 gene article whereas mGluR2 should redirect to metabotropic glutamate receptor 2.
Also, among the 4 AMPA receptor subunits, it appears that only GluR2 was incorrectly redirected to a metabotropic receptor since GluR1, GluR3, and GluR4 all go to the right articles. The simplest way to fix this would be to redirect GluR2 to GRIA2. Since the link in template:addiction (which I added) and all the article backlinks to GluR2 (which I checked) are about GRIA2, nothing actually needs to be changed or piped to a different article after redirecting this page. Blank World Map w/ Individual US States?

I'm looking for a editable map (like this one https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:BlankMap-World6.svg) but with the ability to highlight individual US states instead of the US as a whole. Certain articles like Legality of cannabis have such maps, but they are set PNG images rather than editable SVG files. Individual Canadian territories would be helpful too, though not strictly necessary. -00:27, 5 February 2017 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by AnonWikiEditor (talkcontribs)

Look around the categories on Commons. I found File:Blank world map with US states borders.svg. Rmhermen (talk) 00:38, 5 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I did see that one. I should add/clarify that I'm looking for one where I can easily make changes by finding the country names in the SVG code. -AnonWikiEditor (talk) 01:10, 5 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Does the map here do what you want? Maproom (talk) 08:50, 5 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I'm looking for a world map that features editable individual US states, not just a US map. Like this one (except the source for that map is PNG rather than an editable SVG). -AnonWikiEditor (talk) 09:08, 6 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

    Reference

what type of references i can provide? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Malikriazqasim (talkcontribs) 09:26, 5 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

    • The only requirement to add references on Wikipedia is that they are published, i.e. its authors wished it to be distributed. It can be very hard to find: for instance, an out-of-print book, a scientific paper behind a paywall, an entry in a database that costs a lot to access, etc.
However, there are additional restrictions. Each assertion should be supported by a reliable source independent of the subject, unless the claim is not controversial or disputed (for instance, sales of company X could usually be sourced to the financial report of company X; however, in the context of the Enron scandal, company sources cannot be taken at face value).
Moreover, every Wikipedia article should demonstrate the notability of the topic by a reference to multiples sources that at the same time are reliable, independent of the subject, and deal with the subject in detail. See WP:GNG. TigraanClick here to contact me 12:14, 5 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Pinging Malikriazqasim. TigraanClick here to contact me 12:15, 5 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Malikriazqasim, if you're just beginning, please read "Your First Article". In short, the requirement is that references (or "sources") must be well-established and authoritative, like books, magazines, newspapers and journals, either physical or online. Things like blogs (usually), social media (Facebook, Twitter, etc.) and YouTube are not acceptable as sources. You can read more details at: "reliable sources". Also, take note that personal knowledge or personal experience cannot be used as references. Here are a couple of other pages where you can learn more about referencing for Wikipedia: "Verifiability" and "Citing Sources". DonFB (talk) 12:33, 5 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

    Savorêt dialect => deletion

    Hi,

I need help for a proposal of deletion. Actually I'm not sure to have done things correctly.

The article is this one: Savorêt dialect.

The related article on WpFr was deleted yesterday after this discussion fr:Discussion:Savorêt/Suppression.

    thanks a lot.

    --Benoît Prieur (talk) 11:25, 5 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

As it stands the article is correctly tagged for proposed deletion. Anyone can remove the PROD tag at anytime, otherwise it will be deleted without discussion next week.
I think you were right not to send it to articles for deletion, where a full discussion would take place. Although decisions on the fr-wiki are not binding on en-wiki, it seems unlikely that someone on en-wiki would come up with a reliable source when the fr-wiki discussion concluded that this was probably a hoax. The more aggressive option of tagging it with a speedy deletion tag of "blatant hoax" would probably have been declined, as this is not a blatant hoax. TigraanClick here to contact me 12:05, 5 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
    Ok. Understand :)
I was wondering on this step you indicated me => "Anyone can remove the PROD tag at anytime, otherwise it will be deleted without discussion next week."
    It is clear now.

    publish my page

Hello, Several times I tried to publish my page on behalf of Samantha Sackler whenever refused by Wikipedia Can you tell me why? In order to solve the problem Thank you — Preceding unsigned comment added by 105.98.137.159 (talk) 12:50, 5 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Please provide a link to the page or draft in question, the above is your only edit from the IP address shown. Please sign your posts on talk pages by typing four tildes (~~~~). Thank you. Eagleash (talk) 12:56, 5 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
The deletion log shows that Samantha Sackler has been deleted 3 times, firstly as an article created by a blocked user (User:MusicLover650) and the next two times as G11: Unambiguous advertising or promotion. An explanation of some of the deletions (and of the deletion of Template:Samantha Sackler) can be seen at User talk:Frd15. The draft at User:Frd15/sandbox is not properly refernced, see Help:Referencing for beginners. As you say you are editing on behalf of the subject you need to read about conflict of interest and about paid editing, and if you are the same editor as User:Earflaps you need to be aware that sockpuppetry is not permitted. --David Biddulph (talk) 13:22, 5 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Assuming this is about Draft:The Examination Officers' Association, what would be your alternative title? For future reference please see WP:MV for information on moving a page. Please sign your posts on talk pages by typing four tildes (~~~~). Thank you. Eagleash (talk) 15:49, 5 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Apart from your concerns over the title, I see that your draft seems to contain the content of an unrelated draft Draft:Charles Henry Augustus Lutyens before the start of the text relating to your own subject. You presumably need to remove that unrelated text. --David Biddulph (talk) 16:00, 5 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

    Communists Category

Hello, I am doing a project currently where I am creating Categories for Communists in the United States by state. When I am adding people to categories, should I do it by both from the state they are from and/or by country. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Cassini127 (talkcontribs) 16:40, 5 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

By country you mean USA? Does it make sense? Would this be overcategorizaton? Ruslik_Zero 19:24, 5 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I would suggest just by state and then reference the country they are from next to the name - i.e. Missouri: Joe Blow (North Korea); I do not suggest undue weight for the page by categorizing each name into sections by State and then Country. IMHO Maineartists (talk) 20:33, 5 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

By country I do mean the United States, by state it is considered a secondary level. To make this simple what I mean is by in most countries a provincial level. (Cass) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Cassini127 (talkcontribs) 21:00, 5 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Cassini127. See Wikipedia:Categorization#Category tree organization for an explanation of how categories for a hierarchy. Your state categories should be defined as sub-categories of the country category, and then when you assign somebody to a state category they will automatically also belong to the country category. --Gronk Oz (talk) 06:58, 6 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

    Genius

I wanted to add a Wikipedia article about the upcoming TV series called Genius which is about Albert Einstein. I know there was a BBC show called Genius but this new show about Einstein is going to be on the National Geographic channel and premiering on April 25th.

I only really know how to edit Wikipedia articles and not really know how to make new ones. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Sachinbahal (talkcontribs) 04:57, 6 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Sachinbahal, that sounds like a fascinating program. Instructions on this page show how to create a new article. You need to be logged in to your account to do it (you're not required to have any content on your User Page, or even have created a user page, but login is necessary). Before you create the article page, though, please take a little time and read about the policy and guidelines that govern articles. I see you've been editing a while, but those instructional pages can give you an even better foundation for creating articles that pass muster. DonFB (talk) 10:56, 6 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Hello, Sachinbahal. I would echo DonFB's advice to read WP:Your first article, but I would say to ignore WP:HTCAP, and use the Article Wizard to create a draft in Draft space instead . (This is my advice to anybody at all, unless they are experienced enough at creating articles that they are confident they can write an acceptable article in one go). I would also caution that it is rare that there has been enough material independently published a series which has not yet been released to ground an article: see WP:CRYSTAL and WP:TOOSOON. --ColinFine (talk) 21:31, 6 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

    Past Global Changes

    Hello,

The Wikipedia entry for the international paleoscience organization Past Global Changes (PAGES) has been deleted. It should not have been deleted because the information on this page is written by PAGES and used by other sites. The entry explained what the organization does. It creates no copyright infringement because the information about the organization is written by PAGES.

Could someone please contact me as soon as possible to reinstate the organization's entry?

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PAGES

    Thank you,

Angela Communications and Project Officer — Preceding unsigned comment added by PagesCH (talkcontribs) 11:54, 6 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Angela. Please read the reasons given on your talk page. Wikipedia is not a place to publicise your organisation, and you should not copy material from your website to a Wikipedia article. Thank you for disclosing your WP:Conflict of interest, but your user name does not comply with the restriction on editors' user names because it represents an organisation, not an individual. You are welcome to create a new user name for yourself as an individual, then please declare your affiliation with PAGES on your new talk page. It would then probably be best if your requested an independent and impartial article at Wikipedia:Requested articles, or create a draft at Wikipedia:Drafts where it can be reviewed. See Wikipedia:Article wizard/Company notability for further guidance. Dbfirs 13:23, 6 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
    • @PagesCH: in addition to what Dbfirs wrote above, your assertion that it creates no copyright infringement because the information about the organization is written by PAGES is factually false. The company may release some of its material under a free license following the steps given at WP:DCM, but until then material from (e.g.) corporate websites is by default copyrighted, hence (usually) unsuitable for Wikipedia. Do Wikipedia policies allow for "community-imposed topic bans"?

We have an editor who does good work in many areas, but has some personal issues around one particular topic, regarding which his editing is significantly problematic. It's not serious enough to take to arbcom, IMHO. I'm just asking if there's any policy whereby an editor can be merely "topic-banned" by the community (as in, clear consensus), as opposed to a full "community ban" from all wikipedia editing (which would be overkill at this point - as I said, on other topics, he's fine). Can anyone direct me as to policy on this question? Eliyohub (talk) 15:17, 6 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Long, drawn out and as yet incomplete construction projects

Dear editors: Draft:Belfast Rapid Transport is about a series of connected transit lines that are being built a little at a time as funds are allocated. Some construction has started, but none of it is in operation yet. Is there a guideline or even an essay discussing at what point this kind of subject should have an article?—Anne Delong (talk) 16:16, 6 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

    • WP:CRYSTAL is the appropriate guideline. The gist of it is that future events should have an article only if they are almost guaranteed to happen (e.g. if those train lines have been budgeted for) or if reliable sources have covered them with a reasonable degree of non-speculative information. I have not looked at the refs in the draft, but they seem to be more than enough for the article to pass notability muster; this being said, maybe not all of the article is due for now. How do relevant images get added to this page

My name is Faith Singer-Villalobos and I work for the Texas Advanced Computing Center (TACC) in Austin.

We would like some of our scientific visualization images to be added to this page: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scientific_visualization We are a key player in the national advanced computing/scientific visualization space.

How would I go about providing you with the images and captions/credits?

Thank you, Faith Singer-Villalobos — Preceding unsigned comment added by Faith Singer (talkcontribs) 23:01, 6 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

You can upload images to Wikimedia Commons, so long as you provide the necessary copyright release (which can be quite a hassle, if the person doing the upload is not the "creator" of the image). Once available there, they can be used in any article where they are relevant, in any language-version of Wikipedia. Which images to use in any particular article, and what caption to use, will be decided by a consensus of those editing the article. Do not expect TACC to be credited in each caption; the crediting will be done at Wimkimedia Commons, and will be seen by readers who click on the image. Maproom (talk) 23:45, 6 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
As always Maproom gives good advice. Yet, I would like to add this: Doing it the right way is actually very simple and hassle free. Plesae read : Open-source Ticket Request System (OTRS) There is a template on that page framed with a black border. Just get the originator (or legal owner) of the image to fill it in and email it to Wikimedia Commons and of course upload the image there. Note: there is a big backlog on approving images because we are all voluntary. That will save you the hassle of uploading an image only to find it gets deleted because you have done something wrong.--Aspro (talk) 00:16, 7 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

If you have any questions about Sustainable Water Resource Management,Statistical Hydrology data, Hydro geology and Sustainable Climate, Please Contact me through below Email address " KAVEH_OAA2001@YAHOO.COM "

His research interests fall in urban hydrology and water resource management. These could be categorized in the following areas:

    a. Global Warming, Climate Parameter Variability and Climate Changes in Urban Area. In this way, the effect of land use change and urbanization on rainfall, runoff, evapotranspiration and in general on Climate Change could be investigated. Integrated urban water management is very important in a changing environment. Due to this fact that adaptation to climate change is a new focus of IPCC, the new and optimum strategies in urban environment play a key role toward urban sustainable development.

    b. Risk Analysis of Natural Hazards for Management and Insurance. These include flood, low flow, extreme rainfall, wind, water pollution and earthquake. Geostatistics methods and regionalization techniques help us to estimate the hydrological and physical statistics in ungauged sites. Innovations including applications of Univariate L-moments and Multivariate L-moments, Copula. for the parameter zoning and including the effect of dependency are welcome.

    c. Developing New Drought Indices with emphasize on urban water management. Many drought indices have been developed for water management in dry periods. But, these indices have some deficiencies regarding types of included variables and their combinations.

    d. Sustainable development of Water Resources using Water Reuse Artificial recharge modeling with emphasis on water quality along with constructed wetlands is encouraged to be investigated in depth. Surface Water and Groundwater Interaction could be studied using new software’s such as GROUNDWATER VISTA and GEOHYDROSPHERE.

This is not the place for an article draft, so I have suppressed its display. You need to read WP:Your first article, but firstly read Wikipedia's guidance regarding autobiography. --David Biddulph (talk) 10:19, 7 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry to bump into this, I added the text to the sandbox of this user. Was that correct or was that mischievious? Lotje (talk) 10:31, 7 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
