Nope. Cause I don't know the name of the anime. How am I possibly going to get you an image off of google when I don't know the name of the anime?
I only have an image on my computer. And sadly I can't go to other sights to upload it. I was going to delete it right away after I had my answer, but instead it was deleted before I could get any help.
My options have run dry. I have no way of helping you guys answer this question. Therefore I thank you again for all your hard work.
I'm not going to get the name of this anime. Its fine. You don't need to do anymore. Thank you.[[Special:Contributions/71.142.208.226|71.142.208.226]] ([[User talk:71.142.208.226|talk]]) 20:43, 30 April 2008 (UTC)Cardinal Raven

in the game naruto shippuden: narutimate accel 2, is there an option there for you to change the language from japanese to english? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 119.95.130.172 (talk) 00:53, 23 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not sure about that game in particular but you can usuall change settings like that in the options, or game settings screens.SunshineStateOfMind (talk) 15:04, 23 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Why do you want to change it from Japanese to English? The English voice acting is horrible. And sadly you use to do be able to change the language in the option, but not anymore. They have completely erased changing the language in all games. Like Final Fantasy 12 you can't change it from English to Japanese. But you can try the options and see...still see don't see why you want to listen to awful voice acting.71.142.208.226 (talk) 02:38, 25 April 2008 (UTC)Cardinal Raven[reply]

Robotic Operating Buddy video games

Can someone tell me all of the Robotic Operating Buddy's appearances in video games. That is with the exception of Gyromite and Stack-up. Make sure you include cameos and playable appearance. :)--76.176.17.191 (talk) 01:35, 23 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

What's that airplane?

What's the airplane in Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark? It's a tailless airplane -- almost a flying wing -- with two pusher propellers. I've checked Category:Flying wing aircraft and Category:Tailless aircraft, but didn't see anything likely. Is this an actual airplane, or something made up for the film? --67.185.172.158 (talk) 02:37, 23 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Is this the plane you're referring to:[1]? According to IMDB trivia, it's not a real plane. - Akamad (talk) 03:15, 23 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Plasticine Catalina

In My Name Is Earl, episode "Robbed a Stoner Blind", Randy eats something that he was advised not to eat, and for the next few days everyone looks to him like animated Plasticine. During that time, Catalina says something to him in Spanish, which went by too quickly for me. What did she say? —Tamfang (talk) 06:13, 23 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

integrated titles

In old movies, the opening credits appear on cards before the action starts (though sometimes there's a bit of animation). Nowadays, the credits usually appear over the action. When did the change happen? Is there a flick we can point to as leading the way? —Tamfang (talk) 06:33, 23 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

There is some information at Title sequence. I'm not sure when the change took place, though. Credits that appear superimposed over scenes required more expensive optical effects than shooting art cards directly, so this may have been a factor in older movies. Well, I'm a self-proclaimed expert at this game, but I don't know the names of the stages, but I'll try anyway. If you are talking about the water stage - there is a fake wall near the end (right before a whole lot of sleeping fish) that you walk through. If you are talking about the floating bubble stage - you have to go into the pipe right before the goal as large Mario to break blocks that seal away a key. If you are talking about the Lakitu stage (on the far left of the map), then you will need to steal a Lakitu cloud and fly over to the one pipe you can't jump up to and go into it. Hope this helps. 206.252.74.48 (talk) 15:16, 25 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Enter the bubble! Most enemies in this level appear in bubbles, and only be popping them can you set them loose. The enemy you see coming at you at first is a Bob-omb, an old Super Mario Bros. 2 enemy. Jump on it and then throw it before it explodes, kind of like a Goomba. Now head right, avoiding a Goomba bubble, and jump over the pit after the pipes, taking the first Dragon Coin as you make your jump over it. Now, here you should jump to the jumping board and bounce up over the pipe. Hit the ? Block for an Egg to come out (Yoshi or a 1-Up Mushroom if you already have Yoshi).

Now jump into the pipe to the right to play the matching 1-Up game. When you reappear, go right and jump a gap to reach a Rotating Block pair. Hit the lower one to knock a red shell into the upper one, setting loose a jumping board. Carry it right, drop it, and then bounce to the yellow pipe. Jump right to the second Dragon Coin and then jump the gap. Here, run right before the Goombas fall down and you'll pass right through the midway gate, meeting all your checkpoint needs.

Jump over the gap to the right and then onto the pipe. Jump through the third Dragon Coin to land on the other pipe. Now go right, under some bubbles, to reach a green pipe. Jump over it and hit the ? Blocks for coins. Continue right to more coin blocks, in the middle of which is the fourth Dragon Coin. After it you'll find Chargin' Chuck. Jump over him to the pipe, drop to the fifth Dragon Coin, and then jump to the goal gate.

--Goon Noot (talk) 18:32, 25 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Good job quoting the directions to the regular exit. But he asked for the secret exit. (It's down one of those pipes near the end) --tcsetattr (talk / contribs) 19:17, 25 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Paper Rock Scissors Variations

I'm looking for a page on Paper-rock-scissors variations, I have found it before but can't seem to find it now. It was a lengthy page, and had alot of topics on variations with more than three hands, and a game that one of the presidents made up involving guns.

If any information can be attributed to the whereabouts of these topics or the page, it would be greatly appreciated. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.255.35.126 (talk) 00:23, 24 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Start with Rock-paper-scissors#Variations and Jan-ken-pon. Here is an external site with additional variations. I did a quick bounce back through the edit history of Rock-paper-scissors (500 at a time), but did not see a mention of the variation that you mentioned. --Gwguffey (talk) 02:08, 24 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

entertainment system configuration

What is the difference between PAL and NTSC? I see this mainly in DVDs and VCRs, but I don't know the meaning of them or the difference.41.220.237.70 (talk) 02:45, 24 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

It's a type of TV configuration, according to our articles on these. NTSC includes North America, while PAL comprises most of Europe, Africa, and Oceania. See the image to the right. bibliomaniac15 Do I have your trust? 05:24, 24 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
For technical differences, see PAL#PAL vs. NTSC Think outside the box 13:34, 24 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
The short answer is that each of these systems indicate a specific way that the electronic signals represent the images you see. In vague terms you can think of them as indicating the "language" for describing pictures, that the TV transmitter speaks in and the TV set understands. --Anonymous, 02:39 UTC, April 25, 2008.
They are different ways of encoding the color of the pictures. The black and white parts are the same.F (talk) 11:34, 27 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Actually, while PAL refers specifically to a color encoding, the original NTSC was a black-and-white standard. --Anon, 02:29 UTC, April 30, 2008.

Is realism extinct?

So, I'm watching Live Free or Die Hard and a question occurred to me. Are there any movies made that deal with computers, espionage, etc. that are actually realistic? Dismas|(talk) 05:12, 24 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The movie Breach was based on a true story, doesn't deal with computers so much, just the espionage side of it for the most part, but I thought it avoided most of the normal Hollywood action movie nonsense while still being exciting. AlexiusHoratius (talk) 07:12, 24 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Espionage in real life is far less interesting, so probably not. I was really disappointed when I found out WarGames wasn't realistic. Neıl 09:56, 24 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Do you really want to watch a movie that consists solely of people typing on command-line terminals and talking to each other in a normal tone of voice about technical stuff (most of which is ridiculous acronyms) and maybe leaving for the washroom or food once in a while? Because that is pretty much how the real thing is. 206.252.74.48 (talk) 17:19, 24 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
The first part of Three Days of the Condor takes place at a CIA office that uses a realistic-looking computer (a PDP-11 as I recall). Moving outside of espionage, the computer usage in Apollo 13 is also pretty realistic. --Anonymous, 02:41 UTC, April 25, 2008.
Thank you all. I just finished watching Breach and it was excellent! Though I did find the actor's makeup, especially that of Chris Cooper, distracting at times. I've seen Apollo 13 and have been meaning to see Three Days of the Condor. To the anon, 74.48, I guess what I was getting at is the liberal use of the Hollywood OS, hackers being handed a PDA and being able to break into anything, and using a computer to zoom in and enhance a grainy surveillance video image. While I expect these things from something like Live Free or Die Hard, it would be nice to see something that's more thought out than "We'll just have some kid do some computer wizardry and we can move the story along". The Matrix Reloaded saw Trinity use a real exploit with nmap. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.210.249.81 (talk) 11:22, 25 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I can't remember where I saw it, but I vaguely remember a conversation about Daniel Jackson from Stargate (or was it the Disney snowclone?) and his glasses. Audiences have been conditioned to recognize that /the/ guy with glasses is /the/ nerd. I think it was called "narrative shorthand." It's obvious enough - a movie "has" to be about 90 minutes, that's more or less what audiences will tolerate. Take Independence Day (film) - yes, the deus ex of the Mac book being connected to the alien mothership is pretty outrageous. But would we have really enjoyed watching Mister Goldbloom spending days deciphering an alien assembly language? The symbols - and their shorthand - conveyed the story. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Ironmandius (talkcontribs) 11:55, 25 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I personally would have enjoyed watching someone write out assembly for two hours, but that probably would have cut into the box office. But couldn't they have said he did it, and then shown him running scripts from a command line instead of having his pretty little gui? Really it would be about a 5 second concession to the geeks would that have hurt the story? I even would have been satisfied by "By a remarkable coincidence thier operating system is identical to Windows 3.1!" I'm just amazed at the time and expense Hollywood goes to make things not realistic. They could just gloss over the technical parts, but instead they show something that looks pretty then throw out a bunch of technical sounding words. Mad031683 (talk) 17:03, 25 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
My favorite of the genre is The Net, starring Sandra Bullock, in which a computer virus has infected most of the computers of the world, in effect making Bullock's character and her entire history disappear from all records in the world. The removal of the virus somehow manages to automatically undo all of the damage it has caused. Corvus cornixtalk 17:15, 25 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
A fairly realistic movie about spying (by a private eye, in this case) is The Conversation. Since the movie is over 3 decades old, the equipment used is rather dated. A remake of this movie is scheduled for next year. StuRat (talk) 06:26, 29 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Top ten grossing movies as of 1990ish

In this article, fifth paragraph, Will Smith explains how he set his career goals by examining the top grossing movies of the time, pointing out, for example, that 10 of 10 had special effects, 9 of 10 had special effects with movies, etc. Anyone know what these ten movies were? The article doesn't date it exactly, but let's say top 10 grossing movies as of 1990. Thanks. 207.229.190.19 (talk) 03:08, 25 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The top ten grossing movies in the USA released in 1990 were: Home Alone, Ghost, Dances with Wolves, Pretty Woman, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, The Hunt for Red October, Total Recall, Die hard 2, Dick Tracy and Kindergarten Cop, according to imdb. Finding the top ten grossing movies of all time up to 1990 is a little trickier!. SaundersW (talk) 13:23, 25 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

imdb also have a chart of the top grossing films of all time, and the top films released up to 1990 are: Star Wars, ET, Return of the Jedi, Home Alone, Jaws, Batman, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Ghostbusters, Beverly Hills Cop and Ghost. Assuming that they made most of their income soon after release, that would approximate Smith's list. SaundersW (talk) 13:30, 25 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The Brain (1969)

Motion picture The Brain that came out in 1969 the question is as follows. Since the film was French did the movie ever play in the United States since I saw the movie in Panama City Panama around 1969 and I bought the VHS tape version of the movie from a mail order dealer in Nevada. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Gvieto (talkcontribs) 03:15, 25 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

(midwest USA) If you call it "Concentration" I'd expect to see a rebus behind the pairs, because of Concentration (game show). Microsoft vs Yahoo

Its appears there may be more to Microsoft's desire to buyout Yahoo. Windows Media Player versus Yahoo's Music Jukebox. My new RCA player can use either to convert and load music files but more importantly both provide access to online stores so in reality it looks like Microsoft's real interest in Yahoo is to eliminate one source of competition. Success

Why wasn't the Nintendo 64 more successful than the Super NES? Why wasn't the GameCube more successful than the 64? Interactive Fiction Expert/Talk to me 05:57, 27 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Video game console > Video game crash of 1977 might have a lot to do with that. The GameCube also had to compete with PC games. Just a wild guess. --Lisa4edit (talk) 08:04, 27 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I heard it is because PS2 games are easier to copy.F (talk) 11:32, 27 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
The N64 was less successful than the SNES because it used expensive (and restricted) cartridge media while its competitors used CDs that allowed video, more voice acting, and higher quality music. The Gamecube was less successful before of its dearth of 3rd party support and the public's opinion of it being a "children's console". 206.252.74.48 (talk) 12:59, 28 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Considering the Super NES was introduced in 1987 I find it hard to believe the the video game crash of 1977 had anything to do with it. The simple fact of the matter is Nintendo didn't adapt to the changing market. That's why the wii is so successful, it appeals to an entirely different market than its competition. GfK

Why has the GameCube been wiped out of the GfK lists? They still sell GameCube games in some places - and I don't mean places where you buy older stuff. —Preceding unsigned comment added by IntfictExpert (talkcontribs) 06:10, 27 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Without chasing your through the whole List of marketing topics, here's the brief gist of it. The GfK is a market research organization. Companies employ those to find out what consumers would like to buy and how much they'd be willing to pay for it (very roughly put). Companies are usually only interested in that before a product is on the market and during the first phase after it's introduced. The profit a product earns a company follows a curve. Usually the product can be sold for the highest price when it's new and no one else sells a similar product. Then the company will gradually drop the price of the product to attract people who couldn't afford to buy it when it was still new and expensive. Once the company has recouped their investment into R&D and has a newer product on the market, they are no longer interested in who will buy the "old" model. They will probably continue to make it for a while, but will no longer spend money on advertising and promotion. So all the money they make from the product in excess of production cost and distribution/administration overheads is free. They'd no longer hire the GfK to find out who wants to buy the "old" GameCube because they now want to know how much money they can make selling the Y-box. There are lots of products that follow different curves, e.g. eggs would sell constant until someone introduces a new diet that says you need to eat lots of them to stay healthy, paintings by some painter don't sell at all until 100 years after his passing they sell for millions of dollars. Hope this helps. --Lisa4edit (talk) 06:47, 27 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Classical Music Piece in Advertisements

British Airways (and a couple of other companies) used a piece of classical music in their advertising a while back. The piece was sung by 2 female voices and as far as I can remember had no (other) instruments in it. Sorry for the skimpy details, but I can't very well hum it to you in typeface. Doctor Who after series four

Does anyone know of any confirmed companions after series four? Thanks so much for any info! --Cameron (t|p|c) 18:11, 27 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

According to the Tardis files from Wikia, there is nothing confirmed for the 2009 Holiday Specials or Season Five in 2010. It is rumored that Rose Tyler MIGHT be coming back as there is evidence to suggest she will be in the season finale of Season Four. Assuming she doesn't die or gets trapped in another parallel universe again, that could mean she'll return for Season Five, but this is all fan speculation you understand. Also, assuming that Torchwood is on for more seasons, we'll probably see Captain Jack Harkness again. Finally, at least one fan wants Sally Sparrow of Blink (Doctor Who) to return, but who knows? More than likely, it'll be characters introduced from the current Season Four, and Holiday Specials that'll appear in 2010, as well as brand new characters written in as time goes on. Question

Am I the only person in the world who thinks the GameCube is better than the Wii? Interactive Fiction Expert/Talk to me 08:01, 28 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Well, The Wii gaming library has more 3rd party support than the GCN, and the Gamecube had more quality control. Most of the 3rd party Wii games are utter crap (and I usually have an open mid about these things), also its harder to deign a game for the controllers than you might think (hence the reason why the 3rd party low-budget games suck). Even though the Gamecube had a smaller library than its competitors and games with poor audio compression, it still followed the conventions of a game console, where as Wii went a whole different direction. But, I'm the kind of person who thinks Super Smash Bros. Brawl is just an overly hyped, glorified version of Super smash Bros. Melee. I still play GCN games, but I do praise the wii for some aspects, and I still play N64 and fret that I can't put a cartridge into a Wii and don't want to buy a dumbed down version off of the virtual console. Sorry I went off topic. I don't think you're the only person who thinks that but I'm fairly neutral when it comes to the "Generation wars." — Kjammer   08:29, 28 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Hello, The Reference Desk is for more factual information rather than opinion. Perhaps you could search Google or similar for a Wii/GameCube discussion forum if these questions interest you? Adam (Manors) 15:40, 28 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Technically he did ask a factual question, whether he was the only person in the world with that opinion, I would have said yes since the wii has all the capabilities of the GC plus much more. It's basicly the Gamecube 1.1, with new features that appeal to the casual gaming market which is what has made it such a success. I will agree with Kjammer that there is an overabundance of crap games for the wii, but they can get away with it because the casual gaming market isn't as good at telling bad games from good as the hardcore gaming market. Mad031683 (talk) 16:35, 28 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

That's the third fourth 'question' you've asked about how good the GameCube is. I'd hate to see you accused of asking promotional questions. DJ Clayworth (talk) 17:03, 28 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Since the Wii contains all the necessary hardware to play GameCube games with (as far as I know) 100% perfect support, I don't see how the GameCube could be "Better" in terms of capabilities. Another way to look at it is that the Wii is a GameCube that can also play Wii games.
If you're asking about some other way of defining "better", then you'll have to specify.
Frankly, your post sounds like sour grapes phrased as a question. APL (talk) 17:06, 28 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I still don't see this as a factual question, or how we can help. I'm sure if he truly wanted a definite answer he would take the time to survey his community until a Yes came up, somehow I don't think that will happen and I agree with APL's sour grapes theory. If you don't use a modem to get online do the following: do an "advance search" with google or yahoo and look for "Dr. Who" TV online free. Then check out which of the sites you like, they will have different episodes available. Some are going to be duds that are "subscription only". It will take quite a while to load but you can watch the episodes in sequence and when you want to without having to depend on some TV stations' program director. WARNING! Use firewall and very good virus protection and adaware or the like. I guess you have already looked at the Wikipedia page. --Lisa4edit (talk) 00:11, 29 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Please note that there are two rather different popular versions of Dr. Who (and a lot of unpopular versions). Basically, there is everything before the Tom Baker series. Then, there is the exceedingly popular Tom Baker stint as Dr. Who. Then, there is everything after Tom Baker until the show was canceled. There is even a movie which has every Dr. Who except Tom Baker (who thought that would be popular?). Then, there is the reincarnation of the series that is running now. So, you have a choice. You can watch the Tom Baker episodes (in just about any order - they are mostly all good). Or, you can start with the new series. If you have a lot of time, you can watch both. An advantage to watching the old ones first is that you'll see many nods to the original series in the new one - including many returning characters. -- kainaw 00:40, 29 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
(after edit conflict) Doctor Who was first shown in 1963, but was discontinued by the BBC in 1989. This is known as the "Classic Series". A TV film was made in 1996 (strictly for fans, and not for all of them, either: don't start there) In 2005 the series was relaunched. This reincarnation is known as the "New Series". It follows on from the original series, with the same character, backstory, universe details, but differs in style to suit the modern audience: 45 minute (generally) stand-alone episodes, higher budget special effects and so on (It takes a fan to fully appreciate the cardboard sets of the early episodes). It is best to start with relaunch: "Series 1" (2005). The first episode "Rose" is designed to introduce a new audience to the Doctor and his world. Over the course of the series, explanations are made about the Doctor: that he's the Ninth incarnation, he's a Time Lord, travels in a TARDIS and so forth. Don't get hung up on all the detail: it all gets explained as you go along. So, to cut a long story short, start at Series 1 (2005) Episode 1, and work your way through at your leisure. By all means, rent or buy the DVDs. This is the preferred, legal, recommended route, and provides the BBC with the revenue to continue making the episodes. Enjoy! Gwinva (talk) 00:44, 29 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
(and I must take exception to Kainaw's comments: while Tom Baker was excellent as the Fourth Doctor, some of us have different favourite incarnations). Gwinva (talk) 00:48, 29 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I've got people hooked to the older incarnations of the Doctor, by introducing them to the 2005 series and on. For some David Tennant is a gateway drug. Also, you could check out some of the Big Finish Productions radio plays, which span several doctors. Oh and while your at it, if you like that hokey scifi charm, go ahead and take a stab at the first three seasons of Red Dwarf. Cheers, AtaruMoroboshi (talk) 14:40, 29 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I would just like to add that whatever you may think of the 'Classic' doctors (I'm a Tom Baker fan) the production values of the new series are much better than the old. For someone new to Dr Who I would strongly recommend starting with Christopher Eccleston for that reason alone. DJ Clayworth (talk) 15:07, 29 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I think that's a fair statement. I prefer the endearing quality of low-budget - but that can be very off-putting to new fans. AtaruMoroboshi (talk) 19:55, 29 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I'd definitely agree with DJ Clayworth that someone completely new to it should start with the new series, probably at the beginning (Rose) since it assumes a new viewer. It's much more watchable for a modern viewer. If you like it, you might then want to view some of the older stuff.
I'd suggest that everything Kainaw said should be taken with a pinch of salt (I can't tell if there's sarcasm in there). Dr Who before Tom Baker was hugely popular, and it continued to be pretty popular after him. Personally I think the Peter Davison episodes are more accessible for a modern viewer who hasn't been 'trained' to Dr Who; look past the poor special effects and there are some really interesting ideas being tried out. If you're going to watch Tom Baker episodes, avoid the later seasons when he'd lost interest and was phoning it in (until you're a fan).
The Five Doctors is a quite fun classic story (sort of) featuring the first 5 doctors, made as a special thing for the 20th anniversary. It's available as episodes or spliced together as a film. You might enjoy it once you've seen a couple of episodes of classic stuff; my brothers and I laugh our way through it (although I don't think it's really meant to be that funny). Sadly, it doesn't feature William Hartnell as he was dead by then, but it does feature an actor playing William Hartnell playing the Doctor! It sort of features Tom Baker, but he didn't film any new stuff for it. Having agreed to be in it when they asked, he then cancelled pretty last minute and they had to write him out using previously unseen footage from Shada, an unfinished Douglas Adams authored episode. It was popular.
If you're watching Peter Davison episodes (once you've watched some newer stuff), avoid Timeflight and The King's Demons like the plague. Just about anything else, you'll probably enjoy.
Whatever you do, do not watch the Children in Need special Dimensions in Time (which features 5 of the 7 classic doctors surrendering their dignity alongside Eastenders 'stars'. This was made after Dr Who was cancelled) nor the 1996 TV movie, a horrendous attempt at appealing to a mass American market to get funding for a relaunch that just removed all the best bits, added a love interest and set the adventure in America. Americans hated it. It was oddly popular in Britain for such an appalling film; I can only assume people were desperate for any Dr Who. If it had been made for fans it might still have sucked, but at least it wouldn't have been set in America nor have added a love interest. Watching either of those before you have decided you like Dr Who could put you off for life!
Please do buy or rent the DVDs. Not only does it provide funding for more Dr Who (yay!), it also lets the BBC know that there is a market, which secures not only more new Who but funding for restoring old episodes. 79.66.99.37 (talk) 22:43, 29 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Any episode where a new "assistant" or "companion" is introduced is probably a good place to start, as the whole thing needs to be explained to the companion, and the audience gets the benefit of being reintroduced to the whole premise of the show. For specifics, I echo everyone else's recommendation that you start with Rose (Doctor Who) from 2005. APL (talk) 15:19, 30 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Can anyone provide information about football (soccer) player Merouane Zemmama's appearance/goals stats for his clubs previous to Hibernian F.C.? I cannot remember the name of an anime that I use to watch religiously. It was about a girl with orange hair and her classmates who crashed landed on another planet. I just can't put my thumb on it. If it helps it was about a class that when on a field trip there was a orange hair girl, with a rich blond boy, a girl who had long curly purple hair, and the main character(the orange hair girl) had a pink helper that looked like a giant cat who will refill on water. I watched it in 2006, but I watch animes really late. Shoot I was watching Princess Tutu in 2008 so my time frame isn't very helpful. I have a picture of two of the characters maybe that can help?Cardinal Raven (talk) 15:08, 30 April 2008 (UTC)Cardinal Raven[reply]
If you could post a link, I may be able to better identify the character or show. AtaruMoroboshi (talk) 15:22, 30 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Here I hope this goes straight to the picture I'm not very clean when it comes to links so I don't know how to shorten them. I just figured out how to link an article. I'm sorry if this is going to be a pain: http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Image:These_kids.jpg

Thank You

Just a note, that image got deleted. So I didn't see it. AtaruMoroboshi (talk) 18:01, 30 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Great.......tell me what kinda license should I give it. It just a screenshot. It said it was going to be deleted 7 days from now without the proper license. What a big lie that was...now what to do.

I lied to the Commons. I will delete the picture after you have looked at it. http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Image:These_kid.jpg Hopefully it works this time.71.142.208.226 (talk) 18:31, 30 April 2008 (UTC)Cardinal Raven[reply]
I'd recommend you stop doing that. The commons is not a hosting service for non-free content. Perhaps you should link an external website. AtaruMoroboshi (talk) 19:17, 30 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I'd love to do that, but I don't have the internet. I mean I have the internet, but I can't go to .coms or .nets. I can't go to .orgs either the only exception is Wikipedia. I can only now go to .edu and .govs.(This isn't very fun.) The reason this being is because my roommate hated the spam he was getting from .coms and .nets so he blocked them. He put it on his computer and my computer. He won't stop the restriction either. I'm sorry for all the trouble I have caused you. Lets just put the answer as I do not know that anime. I do not want to continue wasting your time. I'm sorry. And thank you for all the help you have tried to provide me. If this helps I thought the anime had Survive in its title or its American title. But you don't have to go searching around. I'm sorry about all the commotion I have caused. Thank you once again.71.142.208.226 (talk) 19:22, 30 April 2008 (UTC)Cardinal Raven[reply]

Sorry, but the picture was deleted due to copyright violations. Could you provide a Google image link? --70.167.58.6 (talk) 20:26, 30 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you.71.142.208.226 (talk) 20:43, 30 April 2008 (UTC)Cardinal Raven[reply]

Mini-series name

I recall what I think was a miniseries about heroin. It covered the full cycle from growing poppies in Afghanistan to selling it on the streets of England. I saw it on PBS in the US, but I believe it was originally shown on the BBC. I seem to recall a one word title. Does anyone know what it is ? StuRat (talk) 16:05, 30 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
