Template:Infobox Emmy Awards The 63rd Annual Primetime Emmy Awards, honoring the best in primetime television programming from June 1, 2010 until May 31, 2011[1], began at 8pm Eastern Daylight Time (UTC-4) on September 18, 2011[2], at the Nokia Theatre in Downtown Los Angeles, California. Fox is televising the ceremony within the United States. Actress Jane Lynch is hosting the Emmys for the first time.[3] Special appearances in pre-recorded segments include Leonard Nimoy and the cast of Jersey Shore.
The Creative Arts Emmy Awards ceremony was held on September 10.[4]
Nominees and winners
The nominees for the 63rd Primetime Emmy Awards were announced live on Thursday July 14, 2011, at 5:40 a.m. PDT (12:40 UTC) at the Leonard H. Goldenson Theatre in North Hollywood, California. The nominees were announced by Melissa McCarthy of Mike & Molly and Joshua Jackson of Fringe.
The winners for some of the categories were presented at the Creative Arts Emmy Awards ceremony held at Nokia Theatre on September 10.[4] The rest will be presented at the main ceremony on September 18.
