At least 8 people were injured, one critically, and more than 75 houses and mobile homes were damaged or destroyed. Many trees were snapped or uprooted.

EF1 N of St. Matthews Jefferson, Oldham 38°17′N 85°38′W / 38.28°N 85.64°W / 38.28; -85.64 (St. Matthews (Jan. 17, EF1)) 1612 8.2 miles (13.2 km) Multiple trees were knocked down and homes sustained minor roof damage. The wall of an indoor tennis court and the roof of a barn collapsed. Two semi trailers were blown over, injuring one of the drivers.

A well-anchored single wide trailer and a well-built shed were destroyed with the contents tossed into nearby woods. A wood frame home had damage to one wall and numerous shingles were torn off.

EF2 Sweden area Jefferson unknown 17 miles (27 km) Grain bins were destroyed and metal buildings damaged. Farm machinery was overturned. Survey still incomplete.
EF2 NW of Dewitt Arkansas unknown 14.4 miles (23.2 km) Four transmission towers and some farm outbuildings were damaged. Numerous trees were knocked down. Survey still incomplete.
EF1 S of Dewitt Arkansas unknown 9.4 miles (15.1 km) Power lines were blown down. Sheds and carports were destroyed with one tractor shed losing its roof. One house had broken windows and wood wedged into its siding. A mobile home and metal building were destroyed, with another metal building having a wall blown in.
EF1 SE of Ragtown Monroe, Phillips unknown 5.8 miles (9.3 km) Trees and power poles were downed. An irrigation pivot was flipped over and a large shed was tossed several yards. Survey incomplete. Tornado continued in Phillips County were it will be surveyed by NWS Memphis in the next few days.
EF1 SW of Coy Lonoke unknown 0.76 miles (1,220 m) An irrigation pivot was flipped over and several trees were downed.
Illinois
EF2 SSW of Enfield White 0418 18 miles (29 km) A large barn was destroyed and debris was thrown up to 400 yd (370 m) away. A 40 ft (12 m) tower was bent approximately halfway up. Several other small barns and sheds were destroyed.
EF1 SSW of Albion Edwards 0442 6 miles (9.7 km) Damage was mainly confined to trees; however, one high-tension steel tower was damaged.
Mississippi
EF2 E of Alligator Bolivar 34°05′N 90°43′W / 34.08°N 90.71°W / 34.08; -90.71 (Alligator (Jan. 22, EF2)) 0434 3.75 miles (6.04 km) Numerous houses were damaged, some heavily. At least four mobile homes were destroyed and eight others were heavily damaged. Two metal buildings, a transmission tower and a grain bin were also destroyed. One person was injured.

EF1 SSE of Murray Calloway 0503 5.6 miles (9.0 km) Hundreds of trees down. Roof and window damage to several homes, garages, and barns.
EF0 SW of Clifty Todd 0555 2.5 miles (4.0 km) Several trees were knocked down. A barn, several greenhouses, and a pool were damaged. Some houses lost shingles. A trailer was destroyed and one business lost its roof.

Most of the destroyed houses were of lower structural integrity while the more secure houses sustained only minor to moderate damage for the most part. An elementary school and several businesses were also heavily damaged. At least 100 other people were injured.

A number of homes suffered partial or complete roof loss. A radio tower collapsed. Extensive tree damage ocurred along much of the damage path with hundreds uprooted or snapped.

The tornado followed a path from Kimberling City, Missouri on Table Rock Lake jumping from side to side along Missouri Route 76 along the entertainment strip before hitting the downtown area where it blew out or cracked windows in 219 of the hotel rooms in the 12-story/295 room Hilton Branson Convention Center. The tornado extensively damaged three of Branson’s 50 plus theatres – (Americana Theater, Branson Variety Theater and Dick Clarks’ American Bandstand Theater) as well as the Branson Landing on Lake Taneycomo and the Veterans Memorial Museum. Vehicles at the Ride the Ducks water/land attraction were flipped over but officials said they were not damaged enough to be put out of service[1][2][3]

Over 200 houses and over 25 businesses, including a strip plaza, were destroyed (including at least 10 houses that were flattened) with at least six deaths and many injuries. Many other houses and businesses were damaged as well, and tree and power line damage was extreme. Several other people still missing. Preliminary assessments ranked the tornado as an EF4 with winds estimated at 180 miles per hour (290 km/h). Survey still incomplete.

Four people were injured, one seriously.
