Playstation 4/PS4

FYI, since I've noticed you switching this - as long as the first instance of its use is fully spelled out as PlayStation 4, its acceptable for any following mentions to be abbreviated to "PS4". It doesn't need to be written out all the way every time, especially since its such a common abbreviation. So you don't have to be switching that. Thanks! @Sergecross73: Thanks for the tip. DBZFan30 (talk) 23:44, 14 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Reliable sources and user-generated content

Hi. It looks like you've added a few birth dates based on data from the IMDb. The problem with this is that the IMDb is not a reliable source. You can sometimes find birth dates at Hollywood.com, TV Guide, and celebrity magazines like People. But you can't use websites that depend on user-generated content. These generally include the IMDb, TV.com, Discogs, etc. For a reason why, see this article. NinjaRobotPirate (talk) 03:20, 5 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

@NinjaRobotPirate: Wikipedia depends on user-generated content too. The reason why I did this was because I didn't see the birth dates of Sean Schemmel and some other Funimation voice actors on their Wikipedia pages, so I sourced them from IMDb since it was at the bottom of the page. I now know what sources I can and cannot use for birth dates. Thank you!

ArbCom Elections 2016: Voting now open!

Hello, DBZFan30. Voting in the 2016 Arbitration Committee elections is open from Monday, 00:00, 21 November through Sunday, 23:59, 4 December to all unblocked users who have registered an account before Wednesday, 00:00, 28 October 2016 and have made at least 150 mainspace edits before Sunday, 00:00, 1 November 2016.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2016 election, please review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 22:08, 21 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

File:Rio 2011 Soundtrack.jpg listed for discussion

A file that you uploaded or altered, File:Rio 2011 Soundtrack.jpg, has been listed at Wikipedia:Files for discussion. Please see the discussion to see why it has been listed (you may have to search for the title of the image to find its entry). Feel free to add your opinion on the matter below the nomination. Thank you. Mz7 (talk) 20:04, 29 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I've also nominated File:Rio 2 Soundtrack Cover.jpg and File:Wreck It Ralph Soundtrack.jpg for essentially the same reasons. Essentially, we typically don't include the album art for film soundtracks if the art isn't substantially different from the film poster and and if the soundtrack doesn't have its own standalone article. If you have any questions, feel free to let me know. Mz7 (talk) 20:13, 29 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free image File:Planes 2013 Soundtrack.jpg

⚠

Thanks for uploading File:Planes 2013 Soundtrack.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 19:09, 9 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry

I looked at this early in the morning (my time) and said to myself, "I'll respond to it later", then completely forgot to respond. Since the article is tagged for deletion, it will presumably be deleted by someone after the seven days has elapsed. If, however, you think it belongs in the article, you're welcome to raise the matter on Talk:Planes (film). Should consensus go against my removal, I won't be upset at all. Deor (talk) 23:02, 9 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@Deor: I'm the one who should be saying sorry here. I made so many mistakes including uploading that image and forcing you to delete it. We discussed this in the talk page, and I agree that the image doesn't belong in the article. I also don't like being ignored, which is why I restored that message on your talk page. If you could delete the image here, then that would be great. DBZFan30 (talk) 14:40, 26 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I (or another admin) will delete the image when the seven-day waiting period for unused nonfree images expires on April Fools Day. I'm not sure what you mean about being ignored, as you yourself deleted your previous message on my talk page before I had a chance to respond to it. I didn't delete/ignore it. Disputed non-free use rationale for File:The Breakfast Club Soundtrack.jpg

Thank you for uploading File:The Breakfast Club Soundtrack.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.

If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. — ξxplicit 06:14, 24 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Cease your disruptive editing immediately. You can not remove a discussion thread from FFD simply because you do not agree with it. If you continue, you will be blocked from editing. — ξxplicit 12:06, 3 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
@Explicit: I do not want to be blocked again. I was already blocked once for 24 hours. I have learned from my mistakes and will not add anymore album covers to film articles. DBZFan30 (talk) 17:45, 13 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

All Star (song)

I just noticed that you removed a bunch of sourced information on All Star (song) for no reason. Why did you remove most of the content anyway? DBZFan30 (talk) 18:24, 4 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I removed it due to Wikipedia:Trivial mentions. Wikipedia policy and sentiment has come against popular culture sections of articles. I notice this is the bulk of your edit history. Sorry to say, but get used to many editors removing such trivia.--Kintetsubuffalo (talk) 03:25, 5 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, talk pages are meant to be a record of a discussion; deleting or editing legitimate comments, as you did at Talk:All Star (song), is considered bad practice, even if you meant well. Even making spelling and grammatical corrections in others' comments is generally frowned upon, as it tends to irritate the users whose comments you are correcting. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Boomer VialHolla! We gonna ball! 06:18, 5 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Date formats

Date formats

When you change date formats on song articles you need to actually check as for instance you're changing the chart date= links from "{{singlechart|UK|2|date=1999-03-28|accessdate=28 March 1999}}" to "{{singlechart|UK|2|date=March 28, 1999|accessdate=28 March 1999}} " which causes the external links to break (IE you create this),

@Davey2010: I already have a better understanding of the tool. From now on, I will no longer use the tool on music-related articles. Is that okay with you? DBZFan30 (talk) 02:27, 29 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Please don't make major changes to Manuals of Style without first getting consensus for the changes on the talk page. You were undone for this twice on Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Film by Favre1fan93 and were clearly told these sorts of changes needed to be discussed first [1]. DYK for The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air (song)

On 4 April 2017, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air (song), which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that the theme song for the television series The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air is actually called "Yo Home to Bel-Air"? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air (song). You are welcome to check how many page hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air (song)), and it may be added to the statistics page if the total is over 5,000. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

MOS:FILM

I hope I didn't upset or offend you at Wikipedia talk:Manual of Style/Film. That was not my intention. I was just a bit exasperated at the direction of the discussion. It is reasonable to question a particular interpretation of policy, but ultimately projects cannot alter policies, that needs to be done at the policy pages. Hi! You have one of those fancy scripts for automatically and quickly changing date formats. I messed up the date format on Samsung Galaxy S8. Would you be willing to lend a hand and use your script to add a consistent dmy format over there? I say dmy because other Samsung devices apparently follow that format. I asked in an edit summary if anybody could do it, so it might be done by the time you see this, but you're good with that script so I thought I'd ask you anyway :) Have a nice day! :) LocalNet (talk) 15:13, 21 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hi! I like the teamwork we've been doing so far, especially in the deletion of the AtGoogleTalks article. I was going to nominate another article myself, but the procedures to do so scare me a little bit (I'm very afraid of making mistakes haha!). Could I bother you enough to help me nominate Apple Store (online) for deletion? I have merged its History contents into the regular Apple Store article, and there was already established a consensus for a merge. The info on products sold is completely unnecessary if you ask me, so there is no more info to merge, so I believe I have done that job; now I just need the online store article deleted. Is this something you could help me with? :) LocalNet (talk) 20:35, 4 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Template:Z33 NinjaRobotPirate (talk) 11:33, 9 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

DBZFan30, despite what you may believe, Wikipedia does have official policies. Ignoring them can get you sanctioned. Right now, you're verging on a behavior called "failure or refusal to get the point", in which an editor refuses to acknowledge consensus. It's time for you to drop this debate at Wikipedia talk:Manual of Style/Film and move on. If you continue posting argumentative demands (such as in that first diff), you will be sanctioned. I feel that maybe I should have done more to guide this discussion to a more constructive resolution, but other editors have given you advice on how to engage with the community. I suggest you consider their words. Demanding that people change something and stating that you were are unwilling to compromise on the matter is not collaborative. NinjaRobotPirate (talk) 12:14, 11 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]
@NinjaRobotPirate: I'm sorry that I caused this to happen. All I wanted was one word in one sentence changed to make it easier for everyone to understand. The reason why I said "Wikipedia has no official policies" is because any wiki can be edited by anyone. Some users aren't really friendly either, because Lugnuts joined the discussion just to call me "8" and "12" when I clearly said I was 16. Wikipedia does have a policy on cyberbullying, and I agree that it is a huge problem everywhere you go on the Internet, including chat rooms and wikis. This is me looking back at all the damage i've done to this site. I promise to be a better editor in the future. I will not reply in anymore talk pages except for mine. If someone needs help, I'll always help them. DBZFan30 (talk) 02:28, 13 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Everyone gets caught up from time to time in pointless internet debates they should probably let go. Back a few years years ago, I got drawn into an argument over an Australian trade dispute. I'm not Australian, and I don't care about international trade disputes. However, the more I argued, the more stubborn and opinionated I became. It got to the point where an administrator warned me to drop the issue. There was another time when I was trying to clean up an article about a Canadian healthcare dispute. Again, I'm not Canadian, and I don't care about Canadian health care. But the article was skewed, and no matter how many times I tried to fix it, someone would return to skew it again. I tried raising the issue at the relevant noticeboards, and pretty much nobody cared but me. You know what? That article is still skewed. But I moved on. Someone else will have to deal with it, because I'm not going to waste my time getting into long, pointless arguments again. I guess the point is that sometimes you have to know when it's time to move on. Not every battle is worth fighting. I agree the MOS discuss was becoming unconstructive, and that's one of the reasons I closed it. Really, that's one of those situations where it's best to let an admin handle it. It doesn't always work out right, but admins are supposed to be able to stay calm and help resolve tense situations. I wouldn't go so far as to avoid future talk page discussions; they can be very helpful in finding consensus and fixing problems. If you find yourself involved in a nasty debate that's getting derailed, you could contact an admin for assistance – or move on to something less stressful. You have been blocked from editing for a period of 48 hours for edit warring and refusing to accept consensus, as you did at Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Film. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may request an unblock by first reading the guide to appealing blocks, then adding the following text to the bottom of your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  NinjaRobotPirate (talk) 11:14, 18 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • You seem to be fulfilling your earlier threat to edit war indefinitely over your preferred wording. If this is truly your intention, you should be aware that a topic ban or indefinite block are the most likely results. I suggest you get a mentor at Wikipedia:Adopt-a-user. I didn't suggest this earlier because I figured it would be unwelcome advice, given that you expressed frustration at your perceived treatment as an inexperienced user. You referenced a debate at Talk:Splatoon, and there I see this edit, which makes me think you see Wikipedia debates as a battle to be won. However, if you keep editing like this, the results will not end well for you. A mentor may help you avoid these kinds of situations in the future. Request reason:

I'm sorry for edit warring again. I will not edit anymore policy pages or add any new discussions to any talk pages. I have learned from my mistakes and I now know how to edit better, so I do not need a mentor for now. DBZFan30 (talk) 20:04, 18 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Accept reason:

I think editing talk pages would be helpful in establishing consensus, which is important in avoiding edit warring. If you never edit talk pages, what are you going to do when someone reverts you? Continue reverting them back? NinjaRobotPirate (talk) 23:31, 18 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]
@NinjaRobotPirate: No. I would just accept that my edit was reverted and I would not revert it back at all. If I kept reverting back edits, I would probably be blocked again. I actually changed my mind about talk pages. From now on, I will only add new discussions if something is questionable, such as my Splatoon discussion that you mentioned. I will no longer force people to change or add something that they don't agree with. DBZFan30 (talk) 23:40, 18 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]
That sounds good to me. NinjaRobotPirate (talk) 23:45, 18 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection 'F' GA nomination

Hi there,

In case you haven't seen it, I added a comment to the Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection 'F' Good article nomination, an article you originally nominated for promotion. Namely, the YouTube videos that you used as references for the drinks adverts are now no longer working and thus another source is needed to replace them. Maybe a news article that mentions the same story?

ISD (talk) 18:58, 2 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@ISD: I apologize for the late response, but I don’t have time for this. Can you or JohnWickTwo fix this issue and renominate the article for me? Also, I didn’t add any sources to the article and I didn’t check all the sources before I nominated the article. DBZFan30 (talk) 23:06, 26 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I have one thing

I have one thing to say and one thing only: DBZ Rocks! I know this has nothing to do with the wiki but how long have you been watching it? For me it's been 5-6 years. Dinah Kirkland (talk) 16:23, 3 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@Dinah Kirkland: I have been watching DBZ for 5 years. I started watching DBZ Kai in 2013 on Saturday mornings until Vortexx (a block on The CW which aired Kai every Saturday morning) got canceled in 2014. I'm currently watching DBZ Kai: The Final Chapters and Dragon Ball Super on Adult Swim. DBZFan30 (talk) 19:43, 6 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Strange

It wouldn't let me reply to yours but the same thing happened for me. I was so mad but I got over it 😃. Maybe... Dinah Kirkland (talk) 19:55, 6 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Your draft article, Draft:Tapps Games

Hello, DBZFan30. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Tapps Games".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}}, {{db-draft}}, or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. Legacypac (talk) 21:45, 27 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
