Wikipedia:Administrator intervention against vandalism

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

This is an old revision of this page, as edited by 178.128.75.48 (talk) at 13:13, 29 May 2011 (→‎User-reported). The present address (URL) is a permanent link to this revision, which may differ significantly from the current revision.

Report active, obvious, and persistent vandals and spammers here.

Before reporting, read the spam and vandalism pages, as well as the AIV guide. To submit, edit this page and follow the instructions at the top of the "User-reported" section. For other issues, file a request for administrator attention.

    Important!
    1. The edits of the user must be obvious vandalism or obvious spam.
    2. Except for egregious cases, the user must have been given enough warning(s).
    3. The warning(s) must have been given recently and there must be reasonable grounds to believe the user(s) will further disrupt the site in the immediate future.
    4. If you decide that a report should be filed place the following template at the bottom of the User-reported section:
      • * {{Vandal|Example user or IP}} Your concise reason (e.g. vandalised past 4th warning). ~~~~
    5. Requests for further sanctions against a blocked user (e.g., talk page, e-mail blocks) should be made at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents.
    6. Reports of sockpuppetry should be made at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations unless the connection between the accounts is obvious and disruption is recent and ongoing.
This noticeboard can grow and become backlogged. Stale reports are automatically cleared by MDanielsBot after 4–8 hours with no action.

Gone back to what Bugs? I was blocked for 48 hours. I saw Chroniegal's comment on the Whitman TALK:PAGE, not the article, and responded. You removed it. Show me, or anyone where there was a disruption in my comments or my talk page. I pointed out that I felt there was possibly a link, a very strong link to the person you colluded with you for the initial ban, and a previous user who used the same tactics before on WP, in the Whitman article. Did you look at the entries and histories of Snipercraft and Bateauxny? I doubt it, as I was answering your question on my talkpage, an edit conflict came up, with this notification. You have been very quick to accuse and your behavior has been nothing more than stalking at best. You spend a lot of time on these boards per your contrib history. Do you get alot of pleasure out of hit and runs, I'm not talking the baseball kind. And why should the block be longer? If I'm a banned user, you should have requested a ban. That would have made your day. If you can't be reasonable, and state the facts, why invade my input? 71.85.120.252 (talk) 08:36, 29 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
As was pointed out on ANI, I don't need to request a ban, because you're already banned. Banned users are not allowed to edit, no matter what guise they assume. ←Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? carrots08:40, 29 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
ANI? I was blocked, then got a message of the ANI and to respond there, went there, and couldn't defend myself because of the block! Does that sound fair to you? You were the one who requested it! Bateuxny even thanked you. Just like Snipercraft thanked the part who got Vicotr blocked or banned. Would you want an ex-parte hearing about you - where a judgement call was being made? I don't think you would. 71.85.120.252 (talk) 08:48, 29 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

To any administrator. If you are inclined to block me, it doesn't matter, after having to deal with monikers like Baseball Bugs ( who has a few more bugs than just baseball), Wikipedia is not for me anymore. Until real names are used where there may be more ethical tactics used to edit, thereby improving the integrity of Wikipedia, rather than diminishing it, I will self impose a ban on Wikipedia, from usung me for below slave labor wages. This is supposed to be a voluntary site for meaningful and knowledgeable contributors. That has not been my experience with Wikipedia, by any moniker or name. Thank you. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.85.120.252 (talk) 09:10, 29 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
