The films Nayak: The Real Hero (2001, Hindi) and Saathiya (2002, Hindi) were remakes of the films Mudhalvan (1999, Tamil) and Alaipayuthey (2000, Tamil), respectively. The soundtracks were reused with changes and additional songs.
