Eastrans is a bus operator in Melbourne, Australia. As a Melbourne bus company, it operates nine bus routes under contract to the Government of Victoria.

History

Eastrans was formed in January 1988 when Kefford Corporation purchased routes 605 Melbourne City Centre - Elsternwick and 630 Elwood - Monash University from Sinclair's Bus Service.[1]

Eastrans was included in the sale of Kefford Corporation to ComfortDelGro Cabcharge in February 2009.[2]

In July 2011 route 601 commenced as a high frequency shuttle between Huntingdale station and Monash University. In July 2013 the route operations of Driver Group were purchased with routes 612 and 623 - 626 with 42 buses.[3][4][5]

Fleet

As of July 2013 the fleet consisted of 76 buses and three coaches.[9] Eastrans fleet livery is white with white and green stripes.
