2019 National Inivitational Tournament Article

Can you fix the reference in the article please I would accept it please. 68.103.78.155 (talk) 03:06, 11 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hey there; I believe you're talking about the 2019 National Invitational Tournament page. Would you be able to explain a bit more precisely what you mean? It's been accepted now; are you saying you need help finding more refs besides the one? Thanks, --SkyGazer 512 Oh no, what did I do this time? 03:11, 11 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
The IP created some confusion by signing later with a new time stamp. The issue with a missing |title= was fixed [1] between the original post and the signature. PrimeHunter (talk) 16:17, 11 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I've been hunting this answer for some time but I can't find a solution. I would like to create a direct download link to a file present on another website, specifically a supplementary file that a link on an NIH paper lets you download with one click. I'm a novice at programming, but when I inspect the link I see it is a .docx element. All I want to do is copy the link as it is on the paper onto my page; I don't know how its element means I should approach the link. Gio, Jaime, James, or Shamus (talk) 17:05, 11 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

@Secretkeeper12: Our syntax allows you to use any valid URL. Your use of the term "download" raises an issue. A link on Wikipedia is supposed to be for a reference that a reader may wish to refer to, not to something strange like an application program, etc, and the readable text of the citation that you use to cite the link should properly describe the link's content. If that's what you are trying to accomplish but you are not sure what a link does, you might wish to test it first, e.g., on your own user page, just to make sure your link does in fact pull up the page you are citing and not some strange intermediate the host site is serving. -Arch dude (talk) 17:38, 11 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Edit removed

Hi, I have recently joined wikipedia. I was trying to add few points on that particular page, but it seems it was removed. May I know the reason behind? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Iachin (talkcontribs) 18:03, 11 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

@Iachin: Hello, on the assumption that this relates to Bed bug, it would seem that your edit was removed for a couple of reasons. It was somewhat unencyclopedic both in tone and content and was unreferenced. There was one external link added but these are generally not permitted in article content and if in support of the content should be properly formatted in line with WP:REFB. I will leave some helpful links at your talk page. Cheers. Eagleash (talk) 18:23, 11 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Biographical articles needing pictures

I am an editor at Wikimedia. I remember seeing a list once givingWikipedia articles lacking photographs of the subject people. Can you direct me to that list? Thanks --Drbones1950 (talk) 20:06, 11 November 2018 (UTC)Drbones1950[reply]

New draft when redirect already exists

I'm sure this has been covered before, but can't find the answer: say I want to start creating a new article in the Draft: space when a redirect already exists. (say for a band member, which currently redirects to the band). Shouldn't something be done to the redirect also? To point anyone coming across the redirect to the Draft: in progress? (note that anyone clicking on a redlink where a Draft exists is notified of that fact). UnitedStatesian (talk) 21:36, 11 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Several ways to handle this. You can replace the redirect with an article. You could draft that article in userspace or Draft space first and then copy it over. You should not send the Draft to AfC because ArCers can't accept the page easily and, for attribution reasons, will not copy it over the redirect. If a redirect exists there is no automatic way to advise of the draft. You might post about the draft on the redirect talkpage but few will be watching that. Also remember most band members should be covered on the band page per WP:NBAND Legacypac (talk) 22:01, 11 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Don't worry: not creating any band member articles, that was just an example. :) But wouldn't retargeting the redirect so it points to the Draft:, or deleting the redirect, be a better solution while the Draft: is in process? UnitedStatesian (talk) 22:09, 11 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Retargeting a mainspace redirect to a Draft is incorrect. The redirect would become speedy deletable. You might make a case a RFD to delete the redirect in favor of the DrFt being moved there. We don't want to send users following the redirect from search or an article to end up on an unvetted Draft. Legacypac (talk) 22:16, 11 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Actually, @Legacypac:, I discovered there is a template, Draft at, that can be added to the redirect (must be at the bottom, though) that solves my issue. Learn something new everyday, thanks for your help! UnitedStatesian (talk) 13:45, 13 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
As it says in the template documentation, that template is used in edit notices, and not for use directly on articles or redirects. We do not link from mainspace to the Draft namespace. --David Biddulph (talk) 14:06, 13 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Approval of a Draft

Hello Team,

I have an article which I wrote, here is the link https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:Obi_Ozor

Please, when does it go live and become a live article from the draft.

Thank you — Preceding unsigned comment added by Adebowale.J (talkcontribs) 09:21, 12 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Adebowale.J You will need to submit it for review, however, if you were to do so now, it would most likely be rejected, as the sources given are not appropriate. They are not independent reliable sources. One is a piece written by the subject, and the others seem to be press releases, which do not establish notability per guidelines(please review). Wikipedia is looking for what independent reliable sources state about article subjects with significant coverage, not what the subject says about themselves.
I would ask you if you are associated with Mr. Ozor in some way. 331dot (talk) 09:34, 12 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

The simplest thing to do is simply to stop editing with one of the two accounts and stick with the other. You might want to drop a note on the userpages acknowledging the link between the two accounts.
What you should not do is use both accounts to participate in the same discussions, or otherwise use them to mislead other editors into thinking you are two persons. TigraanClick here to contact me 09:59, 12 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Deletion

You will be able to deduce from your records that I have only ever posted one entry, almost 10 Years ago. This means I do not have the knowledge or dexterity that comes with regular use to delete this entry, which I would now like to do. I see from the posts I have received today that my attempts last night have been 'reverted' and the article has reappeared ! To be absolutely clear - I want both the body of text and subject header removing from Wikipedia. It appears that specific reasons have to be provided to justify and substantiate such requests - which follow: 'The article is no longer relevant, moreover it has been edited numerous times and the content perverted, without my knowledge, agreement or permission'. If Wikipedia are able to satisfy this request without my involvement then you have my approval herewith. I sincerely hope so as the reversions were undertake with extreme rapidity. If this request cannot be fulfilled on my behalf then please provide me with clear and simple, unambiguous steps for me to undertake. — Preceding unsigned comment added by DWLambo (talkcontribs) 12:53, 12 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Air Force Cross (United Kingdom)........See also: Category:Recipients of the Air Force Cross (United Kingdom)

Dear Sir or Madam,

I have found you have omitted from the following list my late father Leopold Penczek (AFC)(Virtuti Militari), born Leopold Marcin Pęczek on the 11.11.1914 in Barwałd Górny, Kalwaria-Zebrzydowska, Polska (Poland).

See also: Category:Recipients of the Air Force Cross (United Kingdom)

The “London Gazette” dated Friday 2 March 1956 entry for this awards is as follows:-

“Air Ministry, 6th March 1956.

The QUEEN has been graciously pleased to approve the following award in recognition of gallantry and devotion to duty.

AIR FORCE CROSS.

Master Pilot Leopold PENCZEK (780123), Royal Air Force, No. 242 Operational Conversion Unit. On 24th November 1955, while flying a Valetta aircraft as staff captain on a cross country flight, Master Pilot Penczek suddenly found that the elevator controls had seized and that there was no for and aft control. However, he found that by varying the power settings he was able to control the pitch altitude of the aircraft. He made a Pan call and was “homed” to Marham where, after ordering his crew to crash positions, he made a flapless approach. This required great skill and very considerable courage, since he was quite unaware of the cause of the failure of the elevator control and he had no means of knowing whether or not it was due to some form of structural failure which might well be aggravated by the additional stresses involved in landing. Nevertheless, he landed the aircraft safely and without damage. Throughout the whole of this emergency, Master Pilot Penczek displayed the highest qualities of courage, coolness and leadership. There is no doubt that his fine airmanship, for which he has previously received the Commendation of the Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief, was once again responsible for saving a valuable aircraft and, possibly, the lives of its crew.”

I hope this omission can be put right......... Yours faithfully Julian M Penczek (His son) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 5.172.235.76 (talk) 17:34, 12 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Category:Recipients of the Air Force Cross (United Kingdom) is a category for listing relevant Wikipedia articles. If your father does not have a Wikipedia article, then the category will not show his name. While your late father obviously merited congratulations on the award of the AFC, it doesn't of itself satisfy the requirements of notability to permit the inclusion of a Wikipedia article. The relevant notability guideline says (inter alia): "Were awarded their nation's highest award for valour,[1] or were awarded their nation's second-highest award for valour (such as the Navy Cross) multiple times", hence he would have needed a VC, rather than an AFC, to merit automatic inclusion in Wikipedia. He would, of course, merit an article if it were shown that he met the General notability guideline. --David Biddulph (talk) 17:53, 12 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Help:Cite errors/Cite error references no text

Hi, I've just used WP:ReFill on the Kate Tempest article and it's brought up a "Cite error: The named reference auto was invoked but never defined (see the help page)." error,
I don't suppose someone could kindly fix this as I have no idea what's causing the issue,
Many thanks, –Davey2010Talk 18:00, 12 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

My advice it to stop using that piece of crap. reFill produces much too much junk that requires manual fixing. It has been my experience that there are too may editors who operate that 'tool' who leave the fixing to others, so thank you for being conscientious. The tool's author, Zhaofeng Li has not edited here since December 2017 and the most recent update to the reFill code was made in April 2017. Stop using it.

Trappist the monk - Thanks for your help!, I have self reverted to save the "ReFill is shit" and "If you don't understand it don't use it!!" replies. –Davey2010Talk 18:26, 12 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Your problem is that your definition of the relevant named references is within a section that has been commented out (at the start of the "Reception" section of the article). Much, if not all, of the relevant text is duplicated later in the part which isn't commented out. --David Biddulph (talk) 18:23, 12 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Hi David, Ohhh right, Well as I've said above I've self reverted now, Someone else can fix it all for I care. Thanks for your reply anyway, –Davey2010Talk 18:30, 12 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

IP edits

Hi, hopefully a quick question. For an unregistered user to create a Wikipedia article, they need to be autoconfirmed, which means they need 10 unreverted edits. Is this correct? Thank you, Tom — Preceding unsigned comment added by Tomthirteen (talkcontribs) 19:21, 12 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

@Tomthirteen: Unregistered users cannot become autoconfirmed. Only registered users may become autoconfirmed. The usual requirement is an account that is at least 4 days old and 10 edits, but it can be longer in some cases. See WP:AUTOCONFIRM. RudolfRed (talk) 19:43, 12 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@Tomthirteen: And for the other part of your question, deleted edits count towards the edit count. RudolfRed (talk) 19:45, 12 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I'm confused. Can an unregistered user, IP edit, create a Wikipedia article? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Tomthirteen (talkcontribs) 19:54, 12 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

@Tomthirteen: Unregistered users (also known as IP editors) can edit articles. They cannot directly create them. "IP edit" is not an action. Editing is an action that can be performed by unregistered users (IP editors) or registered users (editors with accounts).
You are a registered user. Becoming autoconfirmed is a matter of being here at least 4 days and having at least 10 edits (whether they are reverted or not, although someone whose first ten edits are reverted within 4 days probably needs to slow down). Notable Polio Survivor and Artist

I'm not a user of Wikipedia at all really, and I've been asked several times why my father (deceased) doesn't have a Wikipedia page. My dad was one of the longest living full quadriplegic polio survivors in the United States and a disability rights champion, having received a presidential honor for helping to draft the original North Carolina American's with Disability Act, as well as assisting in the creation of the original nationwide Americans with Disability Act. He was also a watercolorist by profession and pretty famous across the southeastern US. His paintings were also selected as showcase works by The American Watercolor Society and those paintings were travelled nationally alongside works of Andrew Wyeth among others.

In any case, how does one suggest to Wikipedia that an article on my father is appropriate. I realize from reading just a bit on the rules, that my being his daughter would prevent me from posting a page on him.

I'm attaching a file that includes a short news article that was done when he passed away, a cell phone shots some of his paintings I own. (And I have MANY) There are almost a 1K of them floating around the U.S. and a great deal of them in public buildings here in Charlotte where he was well known for being the driving force to make all public buildings accessible to those in wheelchairs.

Anyways, somebody asked me where his page was and so I'm asking ya'll how that really happens.

Kindest regards,

Jennifer Love

PS: I was never able to upload the local news articles about him that I had aggregated to a word doc and I also tried .pdf, so I'm just uploading one of his watercolor paintings. I have ZERO clue what I'm doing on this site. Ugh.

Hi, Jennifer. We are all volunteers, and writing an article is hard work. If your father is notable by our definition, then he deserves an article. Our definition is at WP:NOTABLE. As you see there, the definition depends on what we define as reliable sources (WP:RS) that also meet several additional requirements to support the claim of notability. Since you are new to this, I reccommend you start by creating a user account, and then put link to your sources there. Then, come back here and we can make a quick assessment of notability for you and suggest how you can proceed You should probably not proceed until we do this, or you may end up doing a lot of work for nothing. Basically, your choices will be to learn how to do build the article yourself (see WP:AFC), or provide enough information and then try to attract an interested volunteer for a requested article (WP:RA). Please don't get discouraged. Wikipedia development is a loosely structured anarchy. More than 100,000 different editors have edited in the last 30 days, and nobody assigns tasks to anybody: we just do whatever we want to. -Arch dude (talk) 01:28, 13 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Question about image

Hi all--I'm wondering if someone can help me. Here is a link to an article from 1905 via JSTOR. How would I go about taking one of the images out of that article to use in a Wikipedia article? @Drmies: An image published in the US prior to 1923 can be licensed under PD-1923 both here and on Commons. As for extracting the image, if you have adobe reader and can download the PDF you should be able to right click on the image and save it. Or most computer have a clipping program that you can use to screenshot part of your computer screen (on Windows it is called Snipping Tool). --Majora (talk) 03:34, 13 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Balarama Holness

Hello,

Can you please change the title to Balarama Holness (my birth and legal name)

Wikipedia has Balarama Holness as Steven Holness at title which is not accurate. When I google my name, Balarama Holness, Steven Holness pops up as the main name.

• y legal name, on my birth certificate and what I use is Balarama Holness. (The content in the wiki is fine, I was once called Steven because my coach could not pronounce my name). Its more demeaning and reflects a colonial imprint on me. Please focus on Balarama Holness and have that as title when I am googled.

Also I ran for Mayor of Montreal Nord, yes I would have been on city council but it is best to indicate that I ran for mayor of Montreal-Nord

I also launched a petition to force the city of Montreal to hold a public consultation on systemic racism. Please see google to confirm the latter. This is a major event in the history of montreal.

Now that I am a public figure, I would be great to have an accurate wikipedia page. -- Represented by my legal name and birth name Balarama Holness at the top, as the title so it does not cause confusion about who I am.

Also I want to be accurately portrayed.

If wikipedia does not want to Change my page to reflect Balarama Holness as the title, please take down my page.

source for Haley Gibby

Hello I have visual impairment and cannot enter the captchas when I go to insert a source for Gibby's birth place of Manchester, UK. I would like to site my source so that I don't constantly get reverted due to no sources, and I am not willing to get blocked for edit warring. article: Haley Gibby Issue: Wikipedia's captcha does not have an audio option. Attempted action: citation of a source stating Gibby's birth place and real name. thanks. 23.151.192.180 (talk) 06:25, 13 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, IP user. I'm sorry you're having difficulty. If you go to Special:Captcha, it says "Unfortunately, this may inconvenience users with limited vision or using text-based or speech-based browsers. At the moment we do not have an audio alternative available". It also suggests contacting the Help Desk for if you're trying to add information, and I see you've done that. I see you've also posted at the article's talk page, and that is usually the best place to make a suggestion.
Unfortunately discogs.com is not regarded as a reliable source (see WP:NOTRSMUSIC) so you should not cite it as a reference anyway. Unless you can find a reliable source, the information should not be included. I would say that for something like a birthplace, a non-independent source would be acceptable (such as the artist's own website, if they had one); but it still must be reliable, not user-generated. I don't find anything suitable on a quick look, but you might ask at WikiProject Musicians. --ColinFine (talk) 16:40, 13 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

thanks. It just angers me that Wikipedia still uses the old captchas, and that it hasn't upgraded to either an "i'm not a robot" checkbox or else one of the recaptchas that has the audio captcha option. It's basically 2010's captchas all over again, and as somebody who wishes to contribute to Wikipedia, this is a discouraging factor. Help with captchas is not always reliable given that I don't stay in one location of the world for more than three or four months due to my job, and I don't like getting my helper Harriet involved because though she's almost 10 years younger than myself, she's scared of me editing Wikipedia, even though I avoid articles related to my group's work. thanks. 23.151.192.180 (talk) 18:38, 13 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

If you create an account then you can avoid captchas when the account is four days old and has made ten edits. PrimeHunter (talk) 22:24, 13 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Infobox help

Hi! In Arnold's Bar and Grill the restaurant name is within the infobox, while in Cincinnati chili it's outside, which gives the appearance of less of an even border (more on sides than top) around the photo within the infobox. @Gronk Oz: I believe that the problem was the fact that the URL contained equal signs, and the MediaWiki software interpreted those as template coding, thus messing up the template; this problem occurs a lot for me. To fix this, you can change to , as Trappist the monk did.--SkyGazer 512 Oh no, what did I do this time? 14:06, 13 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
that^. everything after the pipe ('|') character that precedes the first equal sign is treated as a parameter name: |https://books.google.com/books?id=. efn does not support a parameter with that name so emits nothing.

Peer review link broken after article renamed

Talk:Shooting of Yoshihiro Hattori has a box saying "Shooting of Yoshihiro Hattori received a peer review by Wikipedia editors, which is now archived." Unfortunately the box link to the peer review page is now broken because the article has recently been renamed from "Death of..." to "Shooting of...". I'm not sure how to fix this. --Muzilon (talk) 13:16, 13 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Muzilon; I've fixed the problem now. This is a problem that occurs quite often; to fix it, add "|[old page title]" before the double brackets within the peer review template; if you're familiar with templates, you would know that this would be the first parameter. Specifically, you'd replace with . What this does is changes the peer review link to Wikipedia:Peer review/[INPUTTHATYOUPUTIN]/archive1 instead of the default, which is Wikipedia review/[PAGENAME]/archive1. Cheers and let me know if you have any questions.--SkyGazer 512 Oh no, what did I do this time? 13:59, 13 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I attended the Inquiry and was one of the town planners who gave evidence at the inquiry. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Moultontsr (talkcontribs) 13:52, 13 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Moultontsr. It would have helped if you had told us which article you are referring to, but I see it is Castle Bromwich Hall Gardens. Viewmont Viking has fixed the immediate problem (empty reference tags). However, the material you have introduced is unreferenced - personal knowledge is not acceptable as a source of information in Wikipedia, because there is no way for a reader to verify it.
Having said that, the whole article is almost unreferenced (there is a single citation, for one piece of information only), so I'm not about to revert your edit. I have tagged the article accordingly. If you were able to add any citations to reliably published sources for the information in the article, that would improve it hugely. --ColinFine (talk) 16:48, 13 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I recently had edited an article regarding to lead nitrate. I was successful in editing it but forgot to leave a valid reason for the same as that option was not seen by me. I therefore wish to provide the reason if you assist me with the link. Any of my actions were not purposeful and was only a mistake. Waiting for your assistance. Thank you. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 111.125.221.59 (talk) 15:14, 13 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

It looks like you were able to successfully repeate your edit and leave an edit summary. ~ ONUnicorn(Talk|Contribs)problem solving 15:32, 13 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hey there, that this draft that Alex4ff wanted to reffer about IKMF Organization have much issues: that is a lot of the article reads like an advertisement, there are multiple unsourced statements, and many of the references are simply about Krav Maga rather than the federation as a whole. - as per SkyGazer 512 statement. This AfC has been resubmitted and awaiting review. Please re-consider this review of AfC draft resubmission. 83.246.232.21 (talk) 15:18, 13 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Editing toolbar missing

Above the editing window I used to have a helper toolbar for commonly used functions - bold, italic suppress wiki language, etc. It's now gone. Not sure when it went missing, but I've not made any changes to my preferences or any other settings. Any ideas? I've checked my preferences, but I'm hampered by the fact that I don't know what the toolbar may have been called. All the obvious ones are still ticked - Twinkle, charInsert and reftoolbar, but I don't think that's it. Chaheel Riens (talk) 19:12, 13 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

The old toolbar has been removed. "Enable the editing toolbar" at Special:Preferences#mw-prefsection-editing makes another toolbar which has been default for years. This code in your common JavaScript creates a toolbar more like the old one:
mw.loader.load("/w/index.php?title=User:Writ_Keeper/Scripts/legacyToolbar.js&action=raw&ctype=text/javascript");
mw.loader.load("/w/index.php?title=User:Writ_Keeper/Scripts/legacyRefToolbar.js&action=raw&ctype=text/javascript");

Without the second command it omits the cite button and may load faster. See more at Wikipedia:Village pump (technical)#Support ends for the 2006 wikitext editor. PrimeHunter (talk) 20:34, 13 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Top stuff - I've enabled both and will see which I get used to. Thanks. Chaheel Riens (talk) 20:57, 13 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

CITING CONFUSION

Can you please explain the difference between references and sources on your wikipedia article on Aphra Behn https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aphra_Behn. Are sources and references the same thing? I can't find an answer please help. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 47.55.8.143 (talk) 21:33, 13 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

In this type of situation, the sources would be used for books which are mentioned in multiple references in a short form. I'm not quite sure that the one book in source is used in that way, but that type of Biography would be OK there as well, I think.Naraht (talk) 22:40, 13 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Wikipedia has been created over the last 18 years by more than ten million volunteers. We are not always consistent, and the way we use "sources" versus "references" has evolved and is subject to individual interpretation. In general, references are sources that have been cited in specific locations in the article, while a "source" may have been used either for the article as a whole, or as background by an editor who made edits throughout the article or wrote the bulk of the article in the first place. In your example case the "source" is also separately listed as a "reference" in three specific places in the article. In theory, we are supposed to actually cite the reference explicitly for every single statement of fact in the article, but this is both tedious and time-consuming to add, and highly distracting to the reader, so in practice non-controversial facts are often not explicitly cited to a source, and the reader is left to find them in the sources or in nearby references. In the early days, we also used "further reading" sections whose entries were added when an editor created a brief "stub" article but did not have time to really create references or add material from that source. We aren't supposed to do that any more, but you still find them lying around. -Arch dude (talk) 01:01, 14 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

A request for Slovene project

Hi. I would have a little programming request regarding Template:Infobox Person on sl.wikiquote. It's about making links to sl.wikipedia articles. Grateful for help, --Janezdrilc (talk) 22:32, 13 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

@Janezdrilc: Text will link to the Wikipedia article "Title" in the same language, and display "Text" on the link. If you want something else then please be more specific. PrimeHunter (talk) 22:53, 13 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

This linking should be done in modules. I tried to do it with dates in Modul:Dates (imported from Russian project), but there is still something missing (see for example q:sl:Alojz Rebula). --Janezdrilc (talk) 23:21, 13 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

@Janezdrilc: I guess you want to hide "w:" in the dates. Fixed with [2]. Note the edit summary "if %d or %s are repeated in the string format then their values must also be repeated in the corresponding position in the parameter list". You didn't do that in several cases in [3] so if those parts of the code are run then it will produce errors. Piping links by adding code to a lot of places in a module looks hard, and prevents importing a new version of the module. Instead you could make a template to modify a parameter by changing any wikilink to a piped Wikipedia link. For example, foo and bar could produce foo and bar. Then you can call the template on module or template output when you want Wikipedia links. You could import Module:String and use Module:String#replace. If the template input only has unpiped internal wikilinks then it just needs to say something like {{#invoke:String|replace|source={}|pattern=%[%[(.-)%]%]|replace=%1|plain=false}}. Help with Image

Hello, good day, i have a logo of my college, i have been given the permission to use, although, i dont really know how to register it, everytime i upload it and give the right credits to the right person, it already shows as copyrighted and it gets taken down, ive tried going through the wikipedia Wizard multiple times and also tried on the Creative Commons web page, im really not sure what im doing wrong, any help is appreciated. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 148.231.55.144 (talk) 18:26, 14 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

The logo is probably copyright, so it would not be appropriate to upload it to WP:Commons where anyone else would be free to use it for any purpose. I don't think your "permission" extends to that. I suggest that you upload it just to the article on your college under WP:Fair use. See Wikipedia:Logos for further guidance. Terrorism detail for the United States

I'm reviewing the details for terrorism within the United States , it seems an extreme group has been left out... Antifa. Where there are attacks with no to limited deaths and injuries listed under terrorism, none have appeared for when Antifa has thrown Molotov cocktails or when a group chased after a car and caused damage etc. There were similar situations list for the opposing side. A Molotov cocktail by definition is a petrol bomb. They brought them, it was therefore premeditated... An attack. In order to get a good grasp on the violence in today's society , isn't it necessary to have both extremists listed when they go to violence? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 50.45.215.222 (talk) 19:33, 14 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Do you have reliable sources (in particular, professionally-published mainstream academic or journalistic sources) that describe them as a significant terrorist group?
Because most neutral sources point out that most domestic terrorists groups and attacks tend to be far-right. This source from the Congressional Research Service notes that white supremacists were responsible for caused more attacks and deaths "than any other domestic extremist movement," and also notes that Antifa is largely non-violent and the few attacks they've made were intended as defense against violence from neo-Nazis.
The "both sides" narrative is used to excuse and enable neo-Nazi terrorists. Maybe you could try ensuring that those who share your political beliefs denounce neo-Nazism, white supremacism, and similarly anti-human beliefs, instead of engaging in the sort of tribalism that the neo-Nazis want. please create a series of articles regarding ability to bend spoons with electro mechanical energy

simple. less words the better. every body's body has energy. we could not hold up our socks without friction and static. when out pants are falling down, we walk funny to keep our pants up. different muscles are activated, and different chemicals are submitted to our muscles and pants. now new electric energy hits out body and pants nd creates friction. simple. so if the body is electric and magnetic, then bending a spoon is possible. how. strength of volume of output. smokers are stronger than non smokers, for example. those that practice personal skin care, are more strong than those who don't. why? electro mechanical energy + renewable energy. toe oils + tongue oils make new oils and nutrients. at baseline. add radio frequency carbon monoxide, and now smoker and skin care expert has even more. due to addictive effect of carbon monoxide. smokers share common network. hence smokers are a union, and share chemicals. and nutrients. back to ben spoon. union members are more powerful add "' block chain financing, and the seemingly impossible can be achieved in networked unions, or what is called telemedicine. so if this person can bend a spoon, other may. simple. last. that is evolution in a nutshell.
